You are so not a slacker! You have gotten a ton done for your trip! I think you'll find that you've done enough, it might not be as much as you used to get done but I find that as the trips go by and the kids get older it gets easier and you can get by with less.

I hope you are feeling better! I've been fighting sickness for over 2 weeks now. Hopefully you will feel much better just in time for the trip. You've got a lot done though. Yeah for the video camera- I'll be looking forward to some fun videos for sure!

till Disney

Naomi-Ruth is my youngest and she is literally growing up going to WDW…her first trip she was under two and now going for her 4th time and she is just over 5 yrs old, w/ many more to come!

I have to go back and tell another wonderful story from meeting those Princesses back in 2008, it was Naomi-Ruth’s first trip to Disney…she was very shy of the characters and a bit timid to go up to them on her own. The Princesses could tell and it touched our hearts how much time Cinderella took w/ her and even sat down on the floor to be closer to her. Even the PP photographer was on the floor taking pictures…it was such a sweet time for us to watch her try and figure this all out…at one point her croc came off one foot and Cinderella said to her:

“Oh, did you lose your slipper? That happens to me all the time…”

During her next trip in 2009, we went to see Mickey at the Studios…Naomi-Ruth became attached to her blankie at this stage (well she still is actually ) and it was w/ us when we went to see him…she was already being more curious about the characters and going up to them at this point so we decided to give her that gentle nudge and see what she would do..well she didn’t quite go up and give him a hug, but she tossed her blankie at him..so Mickey that ever clever mouse, picked it up and put it on his nose and that just made her day!

The last memory I have to share is from our most recent trip and a character breakfast…she was a bit tired still at 8:30 in the morning and not quite sure yet w/ all the characters coming around…we we asked her to say “hi” to Pooh bear and take a picture…she was a little shy still and I guess so was Pooh:

thank you all, I am so glad you have been enjoying this trip down memory lane with me...I have one more set of memories to share in celebration of only 2 days left!!!

I have three of my most favorite group character memories to share w/ you:

Our very first trip was in 2005 and this before I knew what I was doing …but we happened to be in the right place at the right time, when Mickey appeared from around the corner and can you believe it no one else was around and the handlers let him stop to take a picture w/ us…I love this picture and really captures the beginning of some amazing trips and memories….

The 2nd favorite Memory comes from our last trip in 2010, when after standing in the rain at AK to watch a parade we decided to try and see Mickey before leaving…we figured the crowds should be lighter because of the rain…I was expecting him to be in his safari get up, since we were in the AK…but to our happy delight he all dressed of for the Holidays w/ his gal pal Minnie too…

They were so fun hugging the kids, “laughing” w/ us and just really taking their time…I love this photo of the 8 of us!

The best group character moment comes from that magical year of 2008 and as we just happened upon Chip and Dale…

We were probably the last group let in the line and had a lovely time chatting w/ one of the handlers as we awaited out turn. When we got up there, they high fived w/ the kids and joked around while they signed the kids autograph books. We ended w/ a shingle snapped photo of us:

I absolutely love this picture it is perfect…perfect Disney magic!

Well I truly hope we have some more amazing moments in our next trip and come back w/ some great NEW stories to share w/ you all…thanks for reading!​

wow I can't believe there are only 2 more days till we leave

winter has finally arrived here for us and we are ready to leave the snow behind I was able to get several things done earlier this week which was a good thing as yesterday and today became monopolized w/ some family things...

so let's take a look at what I've gotten done:

* dog care arranged!

* called/emailed schools and bus of missed days

* got all our spending and tip money in order

* bought a Disney gift card for our dining expenses

* made some tip enevelopes

* made myself a new DIS tag

* made a tag for the stroller

* I pulled out the coupons I made for the 2010 trip (trading pin and $10 toward purchase at MouseGear) and made a new "first ride choice" one

* I also sorted through our blank custom character autograph cards left over from the 2010 trip and organzied them by park. Plus I went on the DISigns thread and found a few more autograph cards and a "I survived TOT certificate" if Bekah goes on it w/ me...sorry don't have pictures as Matt is printing them at work for me.

* I got a little more packing done and the kids medicines all together.

WHAT IS LEFT?

well mostly last minute stuff...

* print our boarding passes tomorrow

* final packing

* final carry on packing

* some around the house straightening up and cleaning

* have the twins work on upcoming homework

* make muffins for breakfast at the airport on Sunday

* paint my toenails since the flip flops are coming

* get my hair cut/color done tomorrow

* have our last Disney celebration before we leave...

I hope to make it on here one more time to share pictures from this last Disney night, Matt has been working really hard on this
