The Most Relaxing Place on Earth! 1/23, Day 8: Last Day!

Cute update Drea.:thumbsup2 Your kiddos are such cutie pies and I'm not just saying that to be nice! I love the pic of B. sitting in the stroller looking at you. That pic of A. after she finished the Beverly was soooo funny! She looked totally confused and betrayed, boy you and Rob are mean!:lmao: Just kidding! Even poor B. had to sample it! Seriously, I can't stomach the taste of it AT ALL. Nasty stuff but I know some people like it.:confused3

Glad to hear you liked Soarin! It is mine and my family's favorite ride. We took my mother-in-law on it and she was not happy that it went up so high! I just kept telling her not to look down, just look straight ahead. She was a bit peeved once we got off but later on said she enjoyed it.

I just love it when the princesses spend extra time with the kids. It means so much to them. My youngest 2 really think the princesses in Disney ARE the ones from the movies. How sweet that Aurora spent quality time with A., she looks so excited! Oh, and I think it's great that she can read Japanese! What a child prodigy!

I would've ignored that nasty FP lady too.:sad2: Instead of shooting off her mouth, she should've realized the other open machine and got in line behind you, duh! I don't get some people. Glad you didn't let her bother you though.

Oh, I hope your poor Rob didn't get sick again! What a trooper he was to trek around Epcot though. I hope he didn't get really ill though. I guess we'll have to wait for your next update to find out!

RE: your upcoming trip, I'd make a ressie at Yak & Yeti for sure, especially if your brother likes Asian food! Tutto Italia looks so yummy and we love Italian food, we've yet to try it though. Of course Le Cellier is a must do for us now too!

Oh, and about photobucket...are the pics private? Can anyone view them on photobucket? I just want to be certain that it's secure before I'd do a trip report, you know? Thanks!:goodvibes

It sure looks like you all had such a great time together! These are the memories that make it all worthwhile!:thumbsup2

Thank you! I also think they are cuties. :cutie:

Yes, A. thinks the Princesses are the real thing. She told our friend on New Years Eve that she had met Cinderella before and been to her castle.

The thing is I *did* have an ADR for Yak and Yeti because when we finalized our dates I looked online and grabbed the only LeCellier ADR I could find and one for Y&Y but cancelled it because I felt bad hanging on to it if we weren't for sure going to use it. I may just tell him that we are going and to deal with it. :rolleyes1

Yes, you can make your photobucket account private. Everyone can see the pix you post, but ones that you choose not to post cannot be seen.

This trip would have been perfect if Rob wouldn't have gotten sick (not his fault at all!). We were all just having such a fun time together. I feel so bad that he missed out on things, but there is always the next trip. :)

When we got back to the room it was still quiet. I was so thankful that we had the 2 different bathrooms so we could change/freshen up and not have to wake anyone up!

I got A. changed and turned on the DVD player for her. I got changed and when I came out of the bathroom she was asleep on the sofa! The pool had really worn her out!

So, I took my spot on the patio and watched the golfers, checked my e-mail from Rob's Iphone. It was very nice.

45 minutes later Rob and B. woke up, so we kept B. in the bedroom so A. could continue sleeping on the sofa. Rob was looking a little better and B.'s temp was back to normal thanks to Motrin and some rest.

I asked him what he wanted to do about our night. He said he wanted to stay in and rest because he didn't want to miss our last park day tomorrow. It was a MK day and we were eating at Crystal Palace. He loves walking down an empty Main Street!

We had a 5:35 ADR at Rose and Crown and I know Rob was sad to cancel it because he had wanted to eat there for our last few trips. He said we could go ahead and go, but I didn't really feel like it. So, I cancelled it. We were just going to stay in this night and enjoy the villa.

When A. woke up she said was full of energy and started to get B. all hyped up. So, I started calling around to see if we could get an ADR somewhere. The only thing I could get was a 7:15 at Mama Melrose.

So, A. and I got changed and headed out for an evening at HS, just the two of us. In the mean time, Rob fixed a frozen pizza for him and B. I offered to get him something from DTD or even the Carriage House, but he said he wasn't even that hungry, just thirsty, so he decided to just eat that pizza we bought at Walmart.

It was a VERY short ride over to HS. We made our way into the park and it was moderately crowded.

WDWDay56097.jpg

I had hopes of us riding TSM, but the wait was 90 minutes, so we passed.

We did however get in line to meet her love, Woody. I love this set-up! Waiting in line is made a lot easier with all of the things to look at/play with!

WDWDay56110.jpg

WDWDay56111.jpg

WDWDay56114.jpg

WDWDay56118.jpg

When we finally made our way to Woody and Buzz, A. was so excited. The first thing she said was "Where is Jessie?" This set them off and they started joking around with her. It was so cute!
WDWDay56120.jpg

Then she asked Woody if he remembered her for "the other day" and he shook his head yes. She got a bigger smile on her face and said "I like you Woody." Buzz acted like he was upset so she said "I like you too Buzz, it's okay."
WDWDay56121.jpg

WDWDay56122.jpg

WDWDay56123.jpg

It was really great!

After that we walked out and saw this guy!
WDWDay56125.jpg

WDWDay56126.jpg

Next we had a lot of fun running away from the squirting Coke bottle.
WDWDay56127.jpg

WDWDay56128.jpg

WDWDay56129.jpg

After this, we just walked around and looked at everything. I thought A. would get bored, but she didn't seem to mind. Plus, I didn't bring our stroller since all we had was a double with us, so she felt like a big girl!
WDWDay56130.jpg

We went and watched Muppet 3D, she still isn't a fan. ;)

After that we made our way to Mama Melrose.
WDWDay56132.jpg

We were early, so we passed the time by taking pictures of ourselves.
WDWDay56134.jpg

We actually only had to wait a few minutes before our table was ready. Because she was being a good girl I paid the crazy expensive price for her Tinkerbell drink.
WDWDay56136.jpg

WDWDay56137.jpg

I don't even remember what we ordered, but it was just okay. I'm not sure we would go back, but for a last minute ADR it was fine.

After dinner we went to look at the wait time for TSM, but it was still 60 minutes, so we decided to head on back to SSR.

When we got "home" both boys were sleeping, so we quickly changed and we were both asleep very quickly.

Up next: Are you sure you're okay?

Thank you! I also think they are cuties. :cutie:

I'd still go, just tell him that eating there is your 'fee' for planning the whole trip! I'm sure he won't mind and it'll be fun to experience it with him and your nephew. I really can't wait till we go back because I'm dying to eat here too, we've never been!

I keep going back and forth about posting pics. I don't know why I'm being so weird about it! Can you print out your TR after? Kind of as a journal type thing so you can remember it or scrapbook it? I was wondering that. That would be cool, wouldn't it?

So sorry that Rob wasn't feeling well. Poor guy! But, as you said, there's always next time! That's what is so great about a Disney trip, you can do it all over again because there's so much to see/do.:thumbsup2

Ok, I really need to focus here because even though I want to do this :surfweb:, unfortunately this:laundy: is starting to look like Expedition Everest! If my kids want to get into the playroom, they're going to have to climb it! Have a great night Drea!:goodvibes

Hi! I guess if you twist my arm...

We got our room at Pop. I made ADRs for Tutto Italia, LeCellier, and Tusker House (Breakfast). I think that is all the ADRs we are going to get. I really wanted Yak and Yeti because that was a favorite of mine last trip, but my brother didn't seem very interested.

I think may talk him into a late lunch there...we'll see. :)

I'm still trying to figure out our park schedule and decide if I want TGM again.

Tutto was great in June... I am sure you will like it, and the rest are yummo and fun! I am jealous, I would love to take Em or Hannah by themselves. I mentally plan to do it someday for each of them.

If you do TGM let me know... I need a bit of help.

One of B's favorite things to do was:

go out...
WDWDay56004.jpg

come in...
WDWDay56005.jpg

repeat, repeat, repeat.

I am convinced he could be Luke's best friend. Must be a boy thing.

WDWDay56061.jpg

That is just precious...

Sorry Rob started feeling junky again...and that there was no Rose and Crown, but what a fun night with A. Your sentiments with Mama Melrose are the same I had... not in a hurry to go again.

Oh man! Not two sick boys. :( That's no good. It sounds like you had some fun mommy and daughter time though so that's the positive out of that. The interaction between A, Buzz and Woody is so cute!

Woo Hoo for getting to go back to Disney! :woohoo: :woohoo:

She was very nervous. I was talking to her a bit when an older couple bent down and said "Oh, your going on our boat?! How exciting! Can I sit by you?!"

So sweet! I want to be like that older couple and help spread the magic!

It was on this morning that I found a cigarette butt on our patio. This made me very happy that I always double check the locks!

 Ewww! Could it have fallen down from one of the balconies above you?

When I got up to it a lady in the other line yelled, and I mean YELLED, "HEY LADY, YOU JUST CUT IN FRONT OF ALL OF US!"

:sad2: If she DISed, she'd know better! :rotfl:

That's nice that you and A. got some mommy/daughter time at DHS!

Looking forward to seeing if everyone makes it to Crystal Palace!

I can understand not being comfortable with it. You could do a report and only put in pictures that don't contain your girls.

I copy mine into Word then print it out. :)

Yes, there is always a next time. Love that!

I forgot you ate there. I remembered reading about it in a TR though!

I'll let you know. I'm probably going to sign up tonight.

Yes, I think our kids would get along great. One day!

Yes, MM is okay for a last minute we need an ADR type thing, but nothing I would plan in advance.

Yes, I made a mental note that that would be me and Rob some day.

Yes, she obviously wasn't a Diser or she would have known!

Update coming tonight!

great updates!!!!! Sorry you were just eh about Mama Melrose. We ate there in Dec and LOVED it! I got the pasta with chicken and alfredo type sauce and thought it was wonderful. We have eaten at Tonys and thought it was horrible so we were glad to find another good pasta place besides Italy in WS!

I hope the rest of your trip was better with healthy family members!!

Great pics of B going out and in, out and in! That was Henry too. ::yes::

Sorry about the lady YELLING at you at the FP machines at Sorain'! :sad2: I love how the CM announced to use all machines after he saw the incident.  Neener neener mean lady! ;)

:lmao: GREAT PICTURES!!!!

Then because we had all taken a drink, we gave B. a drink.
WDWDay56070.jpg

He wouldn't even swallow it! :rotfl:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Must try Kaki Gori next trip, MUST MUST! It always looks so good, yet I never have gotten it.

I hope Rob feels better for MK!

It's funny that you say that because my good friend also went there in August and she had the same thing as you and loved it. She said it is on their list for their trip later this year. Maybe I need to get that next time!

I hope Rob feels better for MK!

He could have done that the entire vacation. Didn't bother us! It kept him busy and out of the cabinets.

Yes, the lady was a total downer. I'm glad that the CM let her know what was up.

Oh my goodness! You MUST get Kaki Gori. It is so good!! It is very sweet, so I would suggest sharing one, unless you guys have an out of control sweet tooth like us, then you will each need your own. ;)

We had an early ADR at Crystal Palace this day. We knew that our little alarm clocks would wake us up early, but we were not prepared for our 5:15 wake up call.:headache:

Before we knew it, we were up, dressed, and ready to go...but it was only 6:30. So, we decided to fix the kids some breakfast.

WDWDay56138.jpg

So, happy to have a freezer and toaster! B. was going through his waffle phase, so this helped keep the peace in the morning. :)

Rob said he was feeling fine, but I could tell he wasn't 100%. If I had to guess, I would say about 50%.

But, he was not missing his empty Main Street, so out the door we went.

A. wanted to take the monorail. We started to walk up the L-O-N-G ramp to the top when we heard "We're getting ready to pull out, you need to hurry please." So, up we ran!

We ended up in the first car, out of breath. That's when a very lovely cast member jumped in our car and started with trivia. She was passing out Monorail cards to the person who answered the questions correctly. I'm sure you can guess that I got most of them right...not that I'm a Disney lover/nerd/freak or anything.:rolleyes1

She put is all in a good mood.
WDWDay56141.jpg

We made our way down the ramp and past security. There was no line, so we walked right in...to an empty park. I'll leave this area comment free so you can imagine the empty street, music softly playing...

Isn't it lovely?:cloud9::love:

After enjoying the empty street, I headed to check up in and Rob snapped this...
WDWDay56152.jpg

This girl is in love with Cinnellella's Castle. ;)

They said it would be 5-10 minutes, so we just hung around the entrance and took some pictures.
WDWDay56154.jpg

It was more like 1 minute when we heard our name.
WDWDay56158.jpg

But, A. was not going in until she could show me castle and point out a few details.
WDWDay56165.jpg

Up next: Let's GO!

Oh, I love the look of an early morning empty Main Street. Who took your family picture? Is that a Photopass picture? It turned out very nice. :) 5:15am is sooo early!

aww such a cute pic of A and the castle..that for sure is a keeper that I'm sure she will love to see when she is older!!!

can't wait to see how breakfast is!!

Note taken, 1 for each of us.

I don't actually have that much of a sweet tooth, but Joe and Henry do, so I'll share with H!

5:15 am! Eeek! That is earrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrly. But kinda nice that you can be on your way without rushing too.

Love empty Main Street.
Love these two pics! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

Are your shoes Crocs? How were they for walking all day?

I can answer that! :rotfl: Yep, they are Crocs. Malindi style. Good for walking all day. I have them in silver and enabled a few other DISers on them too.... http://www.crocs.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-crocs_us-Site/default/Search-Show?q=malindi

I like those pink ones. Hmmm...

The photopass guy took it with our camera. I love it.

Yes, 5:15 is way too early!

Love the empty park pics and A. gazing at the castle!

Are your shoes Crocs? How were they for walking all day?

Yes, Croc Malindi. Very comfy and great for walking. I really like them and wore them most of the spring/summer.

aww such a cute pic of A and the castle..that for sure is a keeper that I'm sure she will love to see when she is older!!!

can't wait to see how breakfast is!!

I have one from every trip. She (and I) loves looking at the castle.:cloud9:

Yes, she enabled me!:laughing: I really like the pink. They are very light so go with a lot of things. I think I had wanted the silver but they were out in my size. Maybe I should go look again...

Awww what a sweet update!! I love the picture of A just staring off at the Castle...that is a great shot!!!!

An empty MK is a sight to behold and I have enjoyed it a few times and I soak in every minute of it! The details...the details are what keep me coming back for more and more!!!

I'm all caught up! Yay!

I'm sorry Rob wasn't feeling well again. That really stinks but what a trooper pulling it together for Crystal Palace!
