Day Three - You are here!
Day Four

-----------------------------------

We woke up at about 7.30 and headed down to breakfast about 8.15. Mickey was in the Main Street lounge as we were heading in, and no one was with him, so I grabbed my chance!

Breakfast was lovely again! Sadly I filled up too much on baguette and salami and cheese and could only manage one of my pieces of banana bread - which was more delicious than I remembered from yesterday!

After we’d eaten we headed back out, Minnie had taken Mickey’s place by the fireplace and she had no queue, so I said ‘Hi’ to her too! A great morning already!

We headed back to the room and bathed and then were on Main Street at 10am. I was very excited to hear the character express music and it was heading down Main Street towards us so we stopped and had a dance. No Daisy though. Next stop was the Dragon, she was well and Jack says it was a lot lighter in there than in summer, when it was hard to see where you were walking.

We took the stairs up to the shop in the castle and admired the crystal castle, shame I don’t have a spare E25,000 to spend on it! We stopped and Jack took a photo of me on our engagement spot as suddenly no people were walking up to the castle and it had been raining yesterday so we hadn’t really taken any photos.

Then we went on through to Fantasyland as an announcement about Sleeping Beauty came on, we sat for a while and watched the show, but Jack wasn’t too interested, and my bum was freezing from the wall we were sat on, so we headed over to the Carousel for our first ride of the day, followed by Snow White and Peter Pan. We had a walk round Alices maze and enjoyed the views from the top of the castle, then walked straight onto Small World. We had a Japanese family in front of us, with the most beautiful kids, and it was lovely to see them so excited about the Japan section of the ride!

Off to Buzz which was still a walk on at 11.30! Really quiet day! I got my highest score ever! 102k Level 4 finally! Then we headed over to Frontierland to watch Mickey’s Winter Wonderland.

I thought it was a fantastic show and might even watch it tomorrow too! After the show we walked onto Thunder Mountain and then had a slow walk down Main Street looking in lots of shops along the way. We got back to the DLH just after 1 and had a really lovely lunch in Café Fantasia - my favourite meal of the trip so far! We also made lunch reservations for California Grill tomorrow as it is having the Buffet while Inventions is shut for renovation.

Then back to our room for a while for me to type this up whilst my Fiance is watching some weird Disney Channel show - Phil of the Future he says it’s called. I’m going to nip down to the lobby for 10 minutes now to catch up with Facebook and then it’s Studio’s (and ToT time - eeeee, before CG tonight!)

--------------

Just back from the Studios - we had a great afternoon in there, when we got in we went straight to the Information Board, Tower of Terror had a 5 minute wait - so we had no excuse! Straight into the library and then I really started to get scared!!! We got to our lift doors and I was so relieved to have been allocated the seat I was praying for! Front row, third from right, so I had the holding on bar!! As soon as the CM shut the doors I was almost crying!! The ride was actually great - the mirror bit and the stars were a lot cooler than I remembered, and although the drop is pretty fast I was determined not to just scream my lungs out like last time, and I smiled and laughed my way through and Jack and I both came off laughing and agreeing we’d go back on tomorrow.

We had a good look around the ToT shop as it was raining a bit outside, and then made a dash for the Tram Tour, on the way though we saw the pin trading store was open and had the board outside, so I traded 2 old pins for a Stitch Bellhop one where he’s cutting the lift cable, and a Hollywood Soda Fountain Store pin of Minnie at her walk of fame square - which I know isn’t ‘legal’ but I loved it.

Rode the Studio Tour - the earthquake bit was good, but the rest was a disappointing as we remembered, we thought perhaps we’d forgotten some bits. I do like watching the ladies make all the costumes though.

After the Studio tour we were getting a bit peckish, so shared a Croque in Backlot Express. Which was almost empty. When we came out we revisited the info board and Crush was at 25 minutes, so we decided as we had 40 minutes left until the time we had wanted to be back at the DLH it seemed a good idea. Ended waiting for 30 minutes which wasn’t too bad, and Crush was better fun than I remembered! We then had a quick walk around the Studios as it’s the first time we’ve seen it in the dark and headed back to the DLH.

We now have half an hour until our California Grill reservation which I am really looking forward to! Shall carry on writing when we get back.

Just back from the most wonderful meal of our lives!! Now I know why the California Grill gets such wonderful reviews! Great food, wonderful staff - a beautiful view of the Castle and the Christmas lights being turned on!!

And - because Inventions is shut - we got all of the Characters too! What a perfect way to spend our last night!! Also the lady making our reservation knew it was for a special occasion and we got candles in our desserts and a round of applause! [Full review here]

I love your report!! We really want to go in January for my birthday, but I'm scared it will be really cold or snowy so we're thinking on waiting for March - what date did you go, as the light crowds sound very tempting!!

We went 18th-21st (Sun-Wed), it was pretty chilly, butthe crowds were unbelievably light!! We will definitely be back that time of year!! Ear warmers and lots of breaks make it totally bearable!! :) Also mens you can get great cheap hotel deals! We got DLH for cheaper than we paid for SL in the summer!

Another great day, and the crowds did seem really light!
