I'm still working on my DVC rental for our first five nights of the trip (May 1-6), and as of today there was still availability at the Poly - so you should be good! I thought about it, but it's a bit too rich for what I'm willing to spend (especially since we're going for 10 nights in total). I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get it!

It's a bit more than I wanted to spend per night as well but with R coming with me I won't be able to stay as long as I would be able to stretch it on my own, so a bit more per night is probably doable over just 3 nights. My bosses are cool with me taking lots of time away from the office as long as I meet my goals... for some reason the public school system isn't as flexible for R, lol.

Plus I mean I have been fantasizing about those dang pools nearly every day since early June and I haven't figured out how to hop the fence yet

OMG now I'm even more excited for the trip I have a different vision though, I see us squatting over the geyser at 3 minutes before the hour, waiting to see who shoots higher in the air

I just shot coffee out of my nose laughing glad I had not gotten dressed for work yet!

Also I cannot even imagine what kind of Geyser-level wedgie that would give you

No turning back now! Of course I know I shouldn't have done this but I asked R, "if you could stay anywhere on property where would you stay?"

And that man said the WILDERNESS LODGE!

So much for my great surprise whatever, I am pumped for it and super excited to see you all!

As of two days ago, I have my hotels booked for this trip!

May 1-6: Old Key West (my husband loves it there so much!)
May 6-11: Animal Kingdom Lodge

I came very seriously close to booking a trip for May 2 - 6th this morning! I still am not sure if I can come but I can always cancel right? The only reason I didn't book was because I wanted one of the All Stars and none of them had availability for those dates . I'm guessing it's a MDE glitch because I can't imagine that all three are fully booked for those dates.

I'm still trying to figure out how to spin this trip to DH so that he is OK with me going. 4 times this year didn't sit all that well with him. But I really, really want to participate in this huge DIS meet.

Is there a way to find the Facebook group to join in? I'm friends with @Elevationist and @missjackiemcg on there so maybe one of them can add me?

I actually think the All Stars are booked up. I have been looking for weeks and they have not come available so I went on a hunt as to why. There are Cheer competitions that weekend at Disney and they use the All Stars for them I do believe.

That makes sense then! I went ahead and booked Pop for the weekend. I decided I want to see the new rooms anyways plus there might still be construction at some of the All Stars.

Thought it would be ironic for the biggest non-planner in the group to provide a planning update

First and foremost our sincerest thanks to our very own Julie McCoy's - @chunkymonkey and @Lesley Wake - for coordinating plans for what has become almost 30 of us!!!! For a woman who "plans" her Disney meals about 10 minutes before I eat them I am in awe of their skills. Because of their amazingness, the wonders of Disney math, lead reservations and lots of things I don't understand our 180 day ADR day is fast approaching and we'll start posting plans soon.

That said because of the massive amount of coordination Su-Lynn and Lesley are having to undertake on our behalf we unfortunately can't accommodate anyone else in the formal reservations. I hope everyone understands. But never fear there will be lots of opportunities to join our adventures over the weekend.

For anyone who is interested we'll start posting daily plans in the coming weeks so you can see where and when we'll be. Of course it won't be hard to find 30 Disney fanatics stumbling through the flower and garden festival with lots of drinks in their hands or hangin' with Chewbacca on May the 4th but we'll let ya know the deets just in case

Melinda we will be neighbors for a couple of days! We will be at the Poly standard view studio the 5th-8th

We will most likely be switching our POFQ res to AKL for the 3rd and 4th as per the birthday girl’s request. ( my daughter is turning 21) Anyone else staying at AKL?

To all readers of the Epic PTR:

First of all, thank you @kastoney for the kind and encouraging words. @Lesley Wake and I have been in "prep" mode for our ADR day which is coming up really soon. It's really our pleasure to do this since planing is our "thing", and we will volunteer again in a heartbeat, but it does come with some challenges. With that said, however much we would LOVE to include everyone, it really isn't possible at this time since we've been planning with our group since July, and we're kinda all set and any changes will just throw us off kilter. I hope you all understand. Hopefully this will the first of in a tradition of DISBoard trips so there will be plenty more to come!

As Kari said, I will post our schedule after we make our ADRs. If you happen to be in WDW during the weekend of May the 4th or around that time, you are welcome to come and say hi, especially when we're out and about the parks. I'm sure we will not be hard to miss (obnoxiously loud, possibly drunk, may be wearing matching t-shirts, and quoting Mean Girls). Come have a drink with us at Epcot! The more the merrier when eating and drinking around the World.

In addition, there may be some cancellations and unforeseen circumstances which will cause any one of us to not make it in May. If so, @Lesley Wake and I will post on this PTR if there are any open seats for any of the meals and events we have booked. If you happen to be there during that time and would like to join us, we would love to have you. We will post about this if and when it comes up closer to May. Who knows, you may get a private invitation from us.

Thanks again everyone for understanding, I hope this doesn't discourage people - in fact I hope it ENCOURAGES people to come out of lurkdom, and actively post and get to know us! Who knows...it may be your ticket to the next EPIC Girls Trip!

Hi All,

Finally have a few minutes to hang out here. I feel a bit disconnected to this group of lovely women and need to spend more time with y'all. It's just hard to find it!! But!! There are developments in this trip for me that I'm super excited to share!! YAY!!

First... as I'll more formally post on my TR (eventually), I got an AP which will certainly pay for itself with 2 more trips this year. Whoop!!! Did I mention the TIW card that's well used already and nicely paying out dividends as I fatten myself up on delicious Disney food?

Secondly, to keep costs in other areas down to a minimum, so I can add a few more lovable inches to my hips by eating hundreds more $$ of food on the trip, we added another roomie, @Chrystmasangel , a long time poster on my thread. That makes a standard view at Coronado pretty darn affordable. I have the room booked from the 3rd-7th. I'd love to join the cool kids at WL or the Poly, but Imma trying to save for a big/longer trip with my kiddos next Sept.

Mom and I did a bunch of in-person planning during my trip there a couple of weeks ago and agreed that we'd like to join in the O'hana, Dessert Cruise, The Tea, and Brunch, so count us in. Clearly, we like to eat. I think we'll be doing snacking and CS for the other meals that aren't group planned. Of course the F&G booths will provide plenty of pleasure.

Still need to get Mom a ticket (probably through UT) and link it, order our Magic Bands, and make any other ADRs in a few weeks, and do FPs when it's time.

Super jelly! A deluxe resort was a bit out of my budget for this trip sadly, or else I would totally be joining you!

Instead, Myself and @IowaTater will be living our princess lifestyle at Port Orleans Riverside in a Royal Guest Room!
