Deck 4!!

Right next to the deck shuffleboard areas.

Unattended small kids with no idea of keeping score or even how to play--just swinging the sticks wildly and trying to hit the plastic pucks as hard they can...usually nowhere near the scoring area and often all over the deck.

We saw several joggers get hit with flying sticks and one jogger who actually fell as she tripped on a plastic puck that was sent flying by these kids.

Some day a jogger will get their eye put out---

I agree. I'm a runner and I've come close to be taken down by a kid with a stick a few times. The kids have always been attended. The parents are just oblivious to the fact that their kid could possible hit someone when they are twirling around with a 8 foot pole in their hand. Why they put the shuffleboard on the deck where people run and walk is beyond me.

Me also; I've dodged many a child spinning/twirling with a stick in that area. I wonder if Disney could put a small sign where the equipment is warning people to be alert to joggers and walkers that come through those areas. ( although that wouldn't deter any children who are alone) If not a serious fall, someone is going to get an injury to their head, if this hasn't happened already.

I remember to slow down and am very alert when I pass those areas.

Totally agree! Even some of the adults are painfully unaware of the joggers at times and I had near miss. The guy looked at me like I was in HIS way. No apology, even though HE was the one swinging a stick around not looking at what was going on around him. There seems to be a number of people who don't realize that deck 4 is also a running track. I try to be courteous and if I see someone's about to shoot, I slow up so I don't interrupt and I always run as far to the side as I can so it's not like I'm just blowing through the shuffleboard area not paying attention. I will say there are also lots of very considerate players who are aware of their surroundings so it's not everyone.

Aside from the shuffleboard area, there was also an area on the running track that was always wet and could get slippery back by where the service dogs relieve themselves. They must wash it often because there were little puddles of standing water almost every day I ran on the ship.

My husband would say the most dangerous part of the ship (for me) is the retail area. $$$$$$$$ There's a great deal of pain and suffering each time the stateroom bill comes. ;-)

This is something many people seem to forget on a cruise, YOUR ON SHIP AND ALL SHIPS, EVEN DCL VESSELS AND ALL OF TODAYS CRUISE SHIPS, NO MATTER HOW SAFELY THEY ARE BIULT, CAN BE DANGEROUS!

Parents are responsible to keep a eye on their kids. No matter how high a railing is or a lock on a door, younger children can get into a dangerous situation. Letting a younger child run wild is not only rude , its highly dangerous for the child and other passengers around them.

Aaaaa-MEN!!!

For us the most dangerous place is between me and the buffets onboard.

In all seriousness thought I could also say the pool area where the decks get wet because parents don't watch their kids pushing water out of the splash areas. Or around the elevators when people don't wait for others.to exit first before pushing their way in.

As silly as this sounds, the top decks when they are dry and the sun is out in full force and you forgot to put on your sandals. That stuff gets hot, and if I remember right the line on the aqua duck can get a bit toasty too.

Another would be on deck 4 where they have the spots in the railing that would open to allow people to board the lifeboats. I would be cautious if you lean on one of those spots to take a look out at the ocean. I remember reading on the boards that someone had one that wasn't latched properly start to open on them. Probably the only time it happened, but better safe than sorry.

Excellent point!
