Ever notice you cant sleep the night before you leave... well last night I went to bed at midnight, I slept great, BUT I was up at 6am, Im NOT a morning person I struggle to get up at 7, but this morning I just hopped out of bed! Its a beautiful rainy day! I leave in 10 hours and 27 minues... according to my clock, not the DIS clock. So by 6pm tonight I am on my way, soooo if anyone is near I-95 and sees a crazy woman driving all night... just wave and know that Tam and Tom are on their way! I will miss you all, its hard to imagine not DISing while Im there.

Does OKW or POR have DSL??? Hmmmm

I'll stay off of 95 tonight but wave  as you drive through Howard County in MD.
Have an awesome trip and give us all of the details upon yout return.

I'm usually up late making sure we didn't forget to pack anything and any laundry that had to get done for packing was done. Normally I finish around midnight doing this stuff. Done this on several occasions when we were were going from NY to VA. We would try to leave between 4 and 4:30 am to make it to my BIL & SIL's house by 2 pm. Getting up at 2/2:30 am is hard when all you want to do is sleep.

But with a trip to Dis in three weeks, I'm gonna start packing the evening of the 21st (the day my DH heads down before us) until the night before we leave (the 25th). This way I'm not up until midnight still packing :teeth:

Still can't wait to tell DS4 the morning of the 25th and see his reaction to going to Disney and meet up with Daddy :goodvibes

We usually take an early morning flight when we go to WDW. I try to get to bed at a reasonable hour (after doing the final packing/cleaning...yada yada yada) but end up not sleeping well because I'm paranoid about oversleeping and missing our flights...that would be a nightmare :scared1: .

Enjoy your trip.

I know the feelin .....we fly out at 6 am tomorrow :cool1: 8 of us from logan 4 from manchester and 2 more later in the am @ 8 I think

Bleh! This time around we have to fly out of New Orleans at 9am! That means we need to leave at like 6 or 6:30am because that is like 45 minutes away! OMG that is going to SUCK having to rush around that early!

Its 3:36, we are all packed waiting for the kids to come home from school! Next thing we have to drop them at the grammas then off we go!!!!

I'm trying to imagine what state I'll be in the night before we go. I keep remembering the Disney commercial where everyone says "I'm too excited to sleep!" :Pinkbounc Of course, that will be just me, since DH doesn't get like that before trips and we're not telling the DC until we wake them up (quite early, might I add, since we have a 7 am departure!).

Hey, thebecka - I grew up in Howard County - Ellicott City!! :wave2:

DH and I keep joking about that commercial- that's exactly how it's going to be for both of us! We're like little kids :)

I agree with you.

Fan Of Small World... LOL, it's a small world after all. :rotfl2: I live in Ellicott City... Where are you now?! :tiptoe:

I actually have to go in to work for 3 or 4 hours before DH and his dad come to fetch me to go straight to Newark airport. I'm paranoid that something will go wrong at work or DH will forget something and we'll miss our flight! I'm sure I won't be able to sleep the night before (I'm ALWAYS "too excited to sleep") :goodvibes . I'll be able to relax once we're at DTD sippin' on a rum runner :thumbsup2

I can usually will myself to sleep but DH....Absolutely can not sleep the night before. We always take the early flight which means we have to be at the airport at 4am. DH is like the little boy in the commercial that says "I'm too excited"! :teeth: I really believe that Disney will keep us young forever! :goodvibes

We'll be leaving on Friday Oct. 27th, our plane takes off at 6:50am...so we have to be at the airport at 4:50am...too early for me. However, I will not sleep we'll all be too excited. Because we live an hour and a half from the airport we always go and stay overnight at the airport hotel and leave our car parked in their lot, I love doing this..but I still won't sleep. This year we are letting our two DDs trick or treat on Thurs night from 6-8 and then leaving for the airport at 8:30 which won't put us there until 10ish. But the girls want to trick or treat with their friends so we are waiting to leave. Well, hope the trip was awesome!

I live in New Jersey now, and unfortunately my family has all left E.C., although they are still in Maryland, so we still get down that way pretty often. I realy miss MD! I also lived in Columbia for a while, and it's so funny to read the "you know you're from Columbia, MD if..." lists (for example, "you know you're from C if you know what a 'people tree' is" LOL!).

Actually, our original flights to WDW were going to be out of BWI, and we would have stayed the night before with my sister, but I was finally able to get a better deal by switching to PHL.

Whenever my daugther wakes up too early to get up in the morning, say 4-5am, I always tell her it morning but not the morning where its ok to get up yet. Her response is: oh the morning where it is ok to go to the airport for Disney World?? :rotfl: Always makes me chuckle, when normally I'd be cranky about being up too early. I am not even close to being a morning person, but those early mornings getting ready to leave are the best! :cheer2:
