The month of September and 9/11

I know in general that the month of september is not a busy month in but I understand the "night of joy" is playing the 9th-11th and I am wondering if you think this will majorly increase crowds or not?

Hi Melodi,
My fiancee and I actually arrived during Day 2 of NOJ last year and heard that MK was near full capacity. Some one please verify. Needless to say, we just didn't do MK the first day and pretty much had the 4 parks to ourselves for the rest of the 6 days afterward!!!!!!

I had a related question -- we plan on going to MK on Wednesday 9/8 before leaving WDW on 9/9. For those who have experienced the Night of Joy program in the past, do crowds tend to arrive earlier than the date the NOJ actually begins? To put it selfishly, am I likely to see bigger than normal crowds on September 8? Thanks for any and all insights/thoughts.

Interested as well. We are going for a long weekend trip 9/10 to 9/13. Planning on MK on 9/12 which is the day after the last night of NOJ. Anyone who has been before and can share some info on daily crowds during this time would be appreciated.

I have been there over two NOJ weekends and the MK is considerablely more crowded on NOJ days than even normal weekends..Since most of the kids are busses in from local Churches and Youth Groups, they tend to arrive early and spend the day in the parks too...

If you can avoid MK on those days I would, the sunday after it ends, the crowds are gone as the kids are heading home...

I will be there too over that weekend and we plan to avoid MK thurs, fri and saturday, but that is just our preference as we prefer the days with lower crowds.....

to make MK my first park that day.... Is there any way to find out how crowded it is before actually getting on the resort bus that afternoon?

we were there during that time last year, and I could really tell no difference in crown size. we go every Sept and all parks are very slow, literally walk right on to the rides...
