Why was a thread from a year ago bumped up to the 1st page?

Just a wild guess, but the OP has created a schism on the DIS. There are those who treat him with kid gloves because of his persona; it's assumed that he is mentally challenged in some way and that he needs to be protected.

Others, however, see that it is an act and are a bit perturbed that he is untouchable. It's good, sometimes, to be reminded that things aren't as they seem.

If you ARE an adult and CAN act like an adult you should be expected to post like an adult.

I know I wasn't educated at first and it takes a whole ton of time and reading to figure it out. It's nice that there are those who help others to figure this place out.

I don't see what anyone needs to be educated about. If you think he is putting on an act, then ignore him. I don't see any reason for people to keep picking on him all the time other than they like to bully people. Like I said, just like high school.

So I've perused the 1st search page of Flower's Child's posts, wondering how I could have missed his threads...I've been here longer than he has. Now I know. I remember seeing some of the thread titles, but always assumed that it was a little kid talking about saving bugs or loving Suzy and Perla, so I was never interested in tuning in. Assuming the OP is rational adult, and forgive me if I'm offending anyone here, but anyone know what the purpose of posting as two different "characters" is?

Those that treat him with "kid gloves" are most likely JUST BEING NICE to another human being, plain and simple.......there are people in the world who are nice to others for no reason whatsoever, ya know?
