The millionth "how crowded is it in (insert month)?" post

I'm thinking about a DLR trip in mid - late August. Does anyone know when the SoCal schools begin? At what point in August do the crowds drop off due to school starting?

Thanks for any info, and I apologize for posting this question for what must be the millionth time.

We always do the 3rd week and trust me, the crowds did not drop off. The school thing seems to depend upon what district you are in. Good luck.

Honestly, from my experience, DL is busy during all of August. The crowds never let up till the off season. Though I've gotten lucky at times and some days are less crowded.

The crowds do not drop off until after Labor Day weeked. A little tip for DL.....Most AP people are blocked out on Saturdays, all summer. So, ironically, Saturday, which is usually the busiest day of the week, is one of the least busy in summer.

As others have said, the crowds don't go away until after Labor Day.

It similar to spring break so because everyone starts diffrently the crowds dont drop off till after August, at least thats been my experience.

Crowds to Disneyland in late August absolutely drop off mid-week only. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the last two weeks of August are considerably more manageable than the rest of summer.

Crowded? Yes. But not terrible.
