The Milestone Birthday Celebration!

SO in December 2014 I turn 50 and I thought long and hard about what I wanted to do, and I decided I wanted to do a Disney Cruise with Christmas at my other home, Saratoga Springs. So after research, lurking on the cruise boards, I decided to work with the DIS Board sponsor travel agency to help with planning and logistics.

Today I booked a Category V Deluxe Family Veranda Concierge, and our room is across from the Concierge Lounge! <Happy Dance> Now I just need the 11 month booking to open for SSR.

We are doing something similar for my wife's 60th birthday this October. One night at SSR, five night cruise (two stops at Castaway Cay) and then six nights at BWV.

Special birthdays are MORE special when you celebrate them with Mickey and the gang!

So Phase 2 was accomplished today. I booked a 2BR villa at SSR for Dec 22 through 27!! There are only DH, DD 14, and me but I thought after 3 days on a cruise -- even Concierge -- we will all want a little more space. <Happy Dance>.

I think SW is out through October as of today.

We are doing the Fantasy for Xmas and then doing BLT for 6 nights from DC. I know someone on the cruise site got a one way flight on the 19th for $147 direct DCA on USAir.

We travel in November using SW the best prices are "around" their birthday celebration usually it starts around mid June. But you have to check regularly because sometimes their sale is 2 weeks before their birthday and it only lasts 3-4 days.

I am having the same milestone this year but in April!!!! Since my family can't take a week off during the school year we are doing a quick 4 day trip to WDW! Currently at AKL-KV but have waitlist for WL! So excited and wondering what special magic or pixie dust may come my way!!
I know you will have the best time on DCL - have done two cruises and we are hooked!!!!

Jet Blue released their flights over the holidays!!! Woot! Just booked our trip and with booking extras for leg room and security access the tix were still cheaper than a legacy airline!!!! One more detail and cost managed. YAY!

So for those who are following along -- just bought our PAP with the DVC discount!!! That means there will be several trips in 2015 that will require planning. Woot!!!

So to recap --
3 day DCL cruise for b-day - check
2BR @ SSR post cruise, over Christmas - check
a PAP - check

YAY!!! truly getting excited!

And the DH was less than amused about the whole planning thing. However, with the Disney app I think I can cope -- since I'm the family planner.

So for those who may recall I'm celebrating the 50 birthday -- gulp. So with this post I've crossed the MB and FP+ trip milestone. Yet to do is order from WeGoShop and schedule OL. IT's getting close!!!!!
