The Meanest Mother in the World--A L-B TR, 5/05 *DONE. p.65, with one last pic*

We’re looking a little hot (in the sweaty, grimy, way, not the Paris Hilton way)
Ironically, the only people who find Paris Hilton "hot," are named either Paris, Hilton or Nick. Or any combination thereof.

And how is it that I got stuck with the diaper change, and Daddy gets the “relax with your beautiful daughter and a cold frosty beverage” card?
It's a dad thing. We learn quickly how to avoid the "messy" stuff in favor of the more pleasant times with our kids. For instance: women get labor and we get calling friends and family to tell them, "it's a girl." Women get thrown up on, and we get roll back over and hope the woman cleans up the mess 'cause it smells. We take the kids out in the yard to play ball and you get cleaning them off. Well, you know the drill.

Hey, KPK: as usual this was a great read. I liked your description of Soarin. That's one of our favorite rides. You did a great job of bringing us back there with you.

:moped: Because I care.

TOOO true, Zzub. I should make it known that I do not find Paris Hilton "hot". At all. I was more referring to her use of the phrase "that's hot" to describe desirable, attractive people/places/things/ideas. And, that crowded, humid, Mother's Day at Epcot, we were anything but.

I know they are securely fastened, but it’s the mom instinct. Truth be told, I had a touch of a little feeling I call “I think I’m going to fall out!”

Previous occurrences of this feeling: on the chairlifts at Breckenridge, Keystone, and Copper. Here in the east we provide safety bars for our chairlift riders. Apparently Coloradans are more adventurous or less hospitable.

Yikes - Does Soarin' really make you feel as though you're going to tumble out of a ski lift? I skied Copper once during a snowstorm (stupid high school days before I got common sense) and all I could think was "If I fall out of this lift, will they be able to find my body before it's buried under all the falling snow?" I've been kinda nervous about heights ever since.

Wow...almost two installments in a row...I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. :teeth:

Still loving the report. Especially stuff like this:

Maybe the standby queue is totally, elaborately, and thoroughly entertaining.

I wouldn’t know. Bwa hahahahahahaha!

popcorn:: Yippee Skippee I'm all caught up! Between your TR and Horsegirl's I'm done (temporarily). What's another good, funny, TR I can read till the butt-crack of dawn and completely ignore my family and ONLY get up to go potty or get another diet pepsi (BTW, DONT accidentally order a pepsi product at the Whispering Canyon....They YELLED at me "Mickey drinks COKE!").

great!!!

hey back when soarin' was new it has a single line and believe me the wait was 3 minutes or less.....It was wonderful.

then I went a couple of times with people who would not get there in the morning. the fass pass were gone by 10:30 am - we got there at 4pm....anyway you learn a lot in that line.... :rotfl: the problem is the information it has is about the World not just dumb ol California - so you go in expecting more.....

your tr are :thumbsup2

you know the ride has to be good for me to wait in line for 2 hours..... but I still love Mission:Space better....

Have you read Hucifer's? It's great too!!

Thanks for the latest update Mean Mommy! It was beautifully written as always. Great discription of Soarin'.

So we exchange Sydney for the magic ticket, and the rest of the group takes off. Just kidding - - they didn’t get to keep Sydney, they just needed to see her. Otherwise, any schmo could go up to the CM and say they need a kid-switch pass.
Dwats Kimmie!!! Foiled again!! :teeth:

Criminy, the child’s not large enough to ride Soarin’, but they’ll give her a beer?
Come on Kim, you know the rule right?? One adult beverage per person. They needed her!! She took one for the team. :teeth:

Maybe the standby queue is totally, elaborately, and thoroughly entertaining.

I wouldn’t know. Bwa hahahahahahaha!
hehe :teeth:

Or is it the front row? I can’t remember. But know this: in the middle, you’ll see feet. In the front or back row you at least have a 50/50 shot at NOT seeing feet.
It's the front row baby. All the others get the wonderful world of stinky-feet smell-o-vision. :teeth:

You get better and better, girlie. This was a great installment. As I was reading, I was thinking I'd quote the "Bwa hahahahaha" section, but then a couple of others did, so....don't want to be redundant. It was a classic, though. As was the "cold and frosty beverage" part. Hmmm, seems like some of us find the same things amusing.....whoda thunk it? :teeth:

Can't wait to hear how the sweaty, grimy, Park Fare dinner went. Did Cinderella forgive your lack of hygiene?? Did Sydneyralla love seeing her namesake? Glad to hear you have nothing to do in July, so we can get more installments quickly!!

I have really been into this TR. However, I've been busy w/ real life and only been coming back to The Dis for a couple of days. It took me a couple of days to do this wonderful report justice.

Now .... I'm gonna have to sit and wait for the installments like the rest of you. Luckily, some of you have been pretty generous w/ your praise of other trip reports. Gives me someplace to go until the world's meanest trip report write ...oop, I mean mama ... posts again.

Thanks for the wonderful posts. Giving me incentive to maybe do a report for our last trip. I have a scrapbook I want to get started on, too!

Thanks so much for the description of Soarin'. DH & I just love that ride! Even my dad, who doesn't go on many rides at all, loves it. Me & hubby are going to WDW for 14 days in August (celebrating our wedding anniversary) and have a goal to ride it every day for the first 6 days while we are staying at BWV! It's a lofty goal, I know, but worthy! Luckily we are early risers when at WDW. Even when we try to sleep in, we are just so excited to be there we wake up early every morning!

I'm really enjoying your report.

ZZUB, Jeremiah 29:11 has gotten me through many trying times! Nice to see it in your signature.

Great, wonderful, amazing travel report. :Pinkbounc

Getting all excited about it from reading this. This really has to be one of the best I have read. I love the way you tell the story and your kids are OH so cute!

:grouphug:

Can't wait for more!

Sheesh...priorities! I see what kinda safty the mouse is lookin' out for!!!

I just found your TR this afternoon! Now, HOURS later, I am all up-to-date, and eager for more!

This is making me rethink our trip in March, I think I will have to give TR-ing a go! I have had sooo much fun today reading yours.

From one mean mom to another! (and I mean mean in the nicest way! :goodvibes )

Keep em comin' kim!

I'm still lovin' this TR...can't wait to see how your dinner goes....hopefully great even if everyone is a little hot :woohoo:
