We got up at the crack of dawn with our Mickey call and headed to the bus stop a little after 6:30. The bus came around 6:45 and we were at MK for EE by a little after 7--in fact, we were the first ones there! When the park opened we headed leisurely down Main St. and were surprised to see the castle was closed--we had to walk around. We found out later they were shooting a commercial for the new ad campaign. We did Fantasyland by 9--Dumbo 2x, Peter Pan 2x, the carousel, Pooh, Snow White, the Tea Cups, and finally small world. Ariel was not there yet or we would have seen her too. Headed to the castle for our 9:20 PS and got in pretty fast. When they called us they announced it was our 15th anniversary! The characters we saw were Jasmine, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Prince Charming and Belle. Snow White was in the foyer but we were called before we got to see her. They gave us two champagne flutes with "Cinderella's Royal Table" on them for our anniversary! We headed over to Tomorrowland and got FP for Space MT. and then waited standby for Buzz Ltyear. What a mistake! The standby wait time was posted at 35 min. but it took an HOUR! They let anyone and their brother in the FP line in before anyone in the standby line! This was the LONGEST wait of our entire stay! DH and I babyswapped for Space Mt. and we headed out.
We went swimming in the afternoon at Luna Park and tried out the KEister Coaster--the girls loved it but I didn't really like it, all the rivets seemed to stick out and get me. I wasn't really thrilled with the pool in general. The only safe part for DS was the kiddy pool. Our city pool has one of those areas where it goes in slow like a beach, and the shallowest area in the main pool is over 3 ft. here.
We got our act together and headed to Epcot. It was really looking dark, but we got to the Land pavillion for our Garden Grill PS. While we were waiting DH decided to check to see if it had rained--he went outside and there was a funnel cloud in the sky! It never came down, so a bunch of people just watched it twist around! (Of course I had the camera so I have no proof of this, but DH says a lot of people were taping it). Our dinner was great. We did the rehitching ceremony and saw Dale, Chip, Mickey and Pluto. The kids were really, really impressed with the restaurant turning around! AFter dinner we did Living with the Land (I had gotten a FP before dinner) then went out and did HISTA next door. It was after 7 by then and several things I wanted to see had no more showings, like Food Rocks. After HISTA we headed out to the hotel. We saw part of Illuminations on our way out. We checked out part of the boardwalk action and went back upstairs. DH fell asleep in the whirlpool tub and the kids crashed pretty fast too.
