Wow! Those are some really great pictures!!! I am so used to carrying around the smaller digital cameras---I have a water/shock proof that is great for the pools and water rides. Do you find that it is a pain with a bigger/heavier camera or has it been ok? It sure has been worth it because you are taking great pictures! Now some food porn! Have fun!!

Hi. no it was not a pain at all. I kept it around my arm and sometimes would wear it around my neck.

Great pictures!!! You'll love having a SLR now and it'll be really hard to compare to your compact digital pictures when you do - just a friendly warning! I have a Nikon digital SLR and can't imagine not having it with me now eventhough it's a lot more to carry around!! I can't wait to see more of your pictures.

I'm in with the others - pictures of Tonga Toast! I've never had it and I keep hearing about it. I might have to put Kona on the list next time...

I just found your PTR and am so excited to hear all about it when you return. I started reading it yesterday morning and found myself thinking at dinner time.... "Oh she is eating at Tutto tonight! I am so jealous!" Reading about you exploring your new camera is also making me feel guilty about not doing more to master the SLR that my husband and I got in the fall. Did you read any good books or find any good beginner websites to get you started?

Oh good you're still going to do JIKO too! I haven't been to either, but I'm interested to hear about JIKO.

Nice pics. Is that more than a point and shoot camera? I don't think I could handle something more than a point and shoot. I'm not even very good with it. Our digital camera's from 2005 though so been thinking about getting a new one.

Thanks.. umm we never did Jiko lol. We are just having too much fun in the parks and did not want to leave lol.

We have a canon rebel XS and it was fine walking around the parks with it. I just carried it over my shoulder.

He just put his feet in the pool lol but he did get in the hot tub with me lol.

It's a small world after all - I saw you & your husband getting on a bus @ Downtown Disney Sunday, 5/3 around 6 pm-ish. Didn't get a chance to say 'hi' because we were still on our bus - but I saw you two out the window, turned to my wife and said "don't we know that couple?" then it dawned on me - I've seen their pic before in the "May" threads on disboards!

Ahh I know I'm so sorry. I have to get back into my routine and get settled. Work is busy for me, my lap top battery is shot and so is the cord. Tim is taking it to the computer store when I go to work. I have to upload pictures to photobucket.

I also have to wait for my photopass pictures. They lost over 100 of our pictures, I'm beyond livid. There are a TON of pictures missing. They better find them. I have never heard of that many missing before and I have never had a problem. For now on I'm just buying the cd at the park that way if there is a problem it can be dealt with then and there.

Ahhhh! Hope your trip was fabulous-- but how sad about the Photopass pictures. How did that happen? Were they all on the same day? I just prepaid for a photopass CD bc I didn't want to have to worry about asking people to take a million pictures of us.
