I love the updates you've done so far!!! DF and I stayed at AKV last year... it was the trip we got engaged on... so that AKV holds a special place in my heart as well as being an absolutly amazing resort!!! (Ps thank you for being my SBP escape wedding inspiration)

Anyway I can't wait to hear more about your trip! The pictures are awesome and you have me laughing all the time! Great start lynn!

There are SO MANY negative TRs out there. Like seriously so many of them can *almost* make you wonder why you are planning a trip to the World instead of somewhere else. But you hit it right on the nose...it does have a lot to do with the person and whether they have some magic inside of them. And YOU definitely have some magic inside of you!!

Aww thank you, so sweet. Yeah you just have to be a positive person. Life is short so I live it to the fullest everyday.

Great pics. I love them I specially like the one where Tim gives you a kiss in the photopass pic and the rose pic by The Haunted Mansion very cool. I like the food I think it's because I am hungry lol. I never saw the sword by the carousel either I will have to look for it next time. Can't wait to hear more.

Yeah Peter Pan is always forever. I did see wait times of 30-45 mins though other days in the week. We do FP too for that ride.

I love the Bride scene!! It is creepy but it's my favorite. The first time I saw the new scene was on my wedding day so of course I love it haha. The part where the doors are knocking creeps me out lol.

Aw, Tim's a party pooper! I could see Aaron saying the same thing to me, though. I'd probably trip, drop the camera in the pool and then be ask him why he let me bring it. Probably a good thing you didn't take it down there.

Um...yeah. Idol was very underwhelming. That song Kara wrote...EEK!!! Seriously, no one could make that thing work. What are they smoking when they come up w/ this junk?! I thought both of them did well, but of course, I love Kris so I voted for him. In fact, I was so pathetic -- I voted for about 3 hours. I need to get a life!

I'm so glad you were at Disney in the nice weather rather than now!!! Your pictures are great. You can really tell the quality of the pictures in the closeups of the flowers. They are beautiful!

Yeah sway him please lol!! You guys have to stay onsite!! If he won't stay at AKL then definitely try the POLY. We honeymooned there and it was the best. We love that place!!

Great photos and brilliant start. It was nice to be able to drift off to a sunny disney world after the worst drive ever in torrential British rain. lol I can't believe Haunted Mansion had a wait that's crazy. I've been in early July and got straight on before, Peter Pan on the other hand I don't think it's ever under an hour.

Oh gosh the yucky rain!! Can I tel you how much I can't stand rain. It's so blah! YUCK! Yeah I know, it's never a long wait. It really wasn't long though haha. 10 minutes is nothing, but when you are used to just walking in it's long haha.

Peter Pan is always a wait. lol

Love the photos of the studio..very nice! Curtains are cute too! When we stayed in the normal room they weren't like that so that must be a dvc room thing. Love MK and Comic Rays!!! Yum! In Jan when we went to ride HM the cm told us it was going to be a 45-50 minute wait from that point...it was only like 10-15...they totally lied and the line moved super quickly. I can't wait to hear more! Love all the pics so far...i think the out of focus fence/ in focus rose picture is my fave so far, but they all rock! Can't wait to see more!!!

Yeah a couple of my friends told me that the normal rooms are not like that. I would have never knew that. I thought they were standard.

Yeah it is huge, especially compared to Kidani LOL! Kidani is nothing compared to the lodge lol!

So we made our way back to the room to change. We did not wait long for a bus. I think it was there as soon as we got to our stop.

Along the way back to the room I spotted another animal. This is an Ankole Cattle. I just looked at my wild life field guide that you get in your room to see what the name of this animal is.

When we got in the room Tim like crashed out on the couch. Our luggage magically was in our room haha. I started to unpack. After unpacking I sat at the table and looked through the papers. While looking through I saw this gorgeous piece of paper. I laughed as soon as I read it.

If you can read it, it's all about DUN DUN DUN... Swine flu. Oh gosh. It was a nice little letter, it just made me laugh. I know it's not funny and I should not laugh but seriously it was all media hype. I kept the letter, the paper is just so pretty lol.

I looked over to tell Tim about it and this is what I see. Yeah he was out.

After I showered and got ready I went out on the balcony to see if there were any animals out and about. I found some more zebras.

Timmy took my picture. Thank God my hair was back to normal lol. Yeah that did not last long. It was a little humid that day so I should have used more stuff in my hair lol.

Alright it was time for DTD!!! As soon as we got there I went into the Design a T store.

Yeah um I never made a shirt lol. Tim was relieved haha! I'm picky when it comes to shirts. I don't like to wear baggy Tees. I like form fitted shirts. Well they don't have them. I wear XS and they didn't have them. So we never made shirts. Oh well lol.

We left there and headed to the pin store of course!!! That was when I noticed the new store Tren-D!! OMG what an awesome store. I have been calling it Trend... well today I got my disney rewards magazine in the mail. There is a little article about Trend in there, well it is called Trendy but spelled like Tren-D with the the Disney D.

yeah just noticed that LMAO!!

I could spend all say in this store. If I lived down there I would work there in a heartbeat.

I took more pics of the store, you will see later in the report. I bought a really cute Tink shirt that I wore in the trip too.

Tim called me and said "Hurry over to the pin store, a woman has some vynilmations and she will trade them for anything!" Sweet!! I ran over there are traded two that I needed with a woman, and another with a little boy. They were so nice!!!
Sweet!!! I was so excited. Now I only needed two more to find.

I still had to find upside down mickey, and kermit!

It was time to head over to the POLY. We walked over to the bus stop and hopped on the GF bus just because it was there and we wanted to ride the monorail lol.

Here we are on the monorail!! YAY!

WOO HOO BLT is almost done!! It looks great!

YES! We made it to the POLY. I went to go check in and when I saw the line for Ohana check in I nearly passed out haha.

The line, seriously, was all the way out to Kona!!!!! I walked up front and asked a CM what was going on. He said something happened, not sure what, and that he never saw the line that long before. He said that our ressie would not be messed up. Ok no problem.

While we were in line some guy freaked out over Tim's pins. He collects all pins too. He asked how long it took Tim to get that many, and other pin stuff. He made me laugh when he called the pins "Disney crack" lol. They are addicting.

Finally we were able to check in. I want to say it took 10-15 mins to check in haha. But we only waited like 5 mins, if that to be seated. WOO HOO!

We were seated right next to the table we sat at last May. Aww it brought back the memories of our first meal there with the family.

Here was the view. Smack dab right in front of the castle.

YUM the delicious bread!

Our waitress came over. I loved her!! She was awesome. I forget her name. I wrote it down some where. Tracey rings a bell. IDK though. I just know she was awesome.

We ordered some drinks. Tim got a Mai Tai.

They are too strong for me.

I forget the name of my drink!! It was good though!!! It came with a glow cube. Loved it!

While we were waiting for the food to start coming, they had their little show going on. The guy started to sing it's a small world HAHAHAAHAHAHA!!! Tim's face explains it all haha. I loved it. He held his ears lol!

They brought over the salad!! YUM. This is my favorite salad!!

Then they brought over the sauces and the best apps ever. Sticky wings and pot stickers! YUMMMY!

Noodles and broccoli, oh the noodles are different. They seemed smaller to me and there seemed to be more veggies in with the noodles. It was a good thing, I thought they tasted better than last time. I love the noodles.

All of it was so good of course.

Tim put his umbrella from his drink in my hair lol.

So they only brought us over some steak. They asked us if we wanted anymore meat but we were so full, had to save room for dessert. Tim asked for the shrimp so we got that.

I wish I could eat the shrimp, it's too spicy for me. I can't so any spicy food. I have a very sensitive tongue.

Tim enjoys the shrimp though, can you tell?

Then it came.. finally!!!

and it was gone...in like a matter of 10 minutes lol

Awesome meal, always a great way to start your Disney vacation!!

After dinner we hopped on the monorail and went to MK for the fireworks. This was the night I was going to practice taking pics of the fireworks with my little tripod.

Oh two updates to read. I love the look of the new store, its a shame that you can't make fitted tops in the t-shirt shop, I don't like baggy t-shirts either. Its great that you got the new pins from the woman hope you find the other two you need.

OMG! Do you know what, it took me till the second to last day to realise that there were actually Lion King characters on the curtains, thought it was just some random pattern!! In all fairness I hadnt really looked that closely at them till I was messing about with the camera and zoomed in on them! They were fantastic!
