I would really like to ask you all to pray for Bridgie today. I think she may have had a seizure yesterday. It is hard to tell, but she was really fatigued and her memory was a little vague on some things. It could be from the chemo, but I am worried it is the start of more of what we saw in the winter. If she had seizure activity it is the first since before Christmas.

Her MRI came back looking mostly stable, but there is a very tiny tiny area of enhancement the radiologist are watching. Her dr. doesn't seem overly concerned, but considering how things were at Christmas, we are worried things are getting worse. Things declined pretty quickly at that time. I asked the dr. if she thought it was 90% good on the MRI and she said no, I would say 95%. That is good, but I want 0% concerning news So, my friends, please keep her in your thoughts. I so don't want this to keep her from her dream of going back to Disney and to GKTW.

I promise more Big Give Updates later today.

I am finally all caught up again and first things first... that Bridgie is okay and feeling great now!

The Big Give items are GORGEOUS and I can see why that bag made you cry, how beautiful! The genrosity of so many is quite overwhelming and I am so happy you are all being spoiled in such a wonderful way!

Well, sorry I have had a big break since my last post. Bridget is doing better, though I am a little concerned. We so want her to be able to go and enjoy this trip. She is so excited. Every day she tells me how excited she is for her trip!

Her MRI came back mostly stable, but there is a new area of enhancement. Enhancement is a dreaded word because it usually means something abnormal is happening. It is a very very tiny area, but it is there. We are hoping it is just post radiation weirdness. The dr. said the MRI was 95% good news, when I asked her if it was 90% good, 10% bad, so she is hopeful. I was hoping for much improved again though.

Bridget bounced back from her bad day Sunday, but she is a little off. I don’t know if it is because she just finished chemo, or tumor issues, or seizure, or she is just getting sick or just fatigue. There are so many variables and her type of brain tumor is behaving so oddly. She went to bed at a ridiculous hour last night and then wasn’t up for PT today. She loves PT and riding the bike around the hospital, so she definitely was not feeling well.

The good news of the week is that Jack (7) had some testing done last month that showed he is dyslexic. I got the impression it was pretty severe from the psychologist. Today a reading specialist used him to teach a group of teachers how to help struggling readers. Jack did amazing! The expert felt with work this summer he will really improve as he said he is very bright and a fast learner. Still a worry, but not as big a worry as I thought after his testing. Phewww!

Today we received a huge delivery of Big Give gifts so I will start updating. I am sorry I have fallen so far behind. I can't upload pictures on my ipad or draft messages easily so it has to wait until I am able to sit at the desktop. Usually after midnight ! Does anyone know if the DIS site runs slow in the early a.m.? It seems I always have trouble if I am on in the wee hours.

Thank you for all the prayers for Bridgie. I'm a little behind in greeting my new friends so to all of you I say We are so glad to see all those enjoying the Big Give gifts with us. Bridget everyday tells me "mommy, these people are soooo nice!" You have brought her (and all of us) much sunshine and happiness.

Thursday last week arrived and the postal lady brought 2 envelopes and a package to our door.

The first gift was from miprender! It was a seven dwarfs Disney gift card!!! Bridgie was so elated when I told her she could use it to buy herself something special at Disney that she was jumping up and down! It was so kind of you and I just love the 7 dwarfs card. Thanks miprender !

The next envelope contained a gift card from BP from the Rusty Scupper! That was met with jumping up and down from the whole crew. I know we could put it towards gas $$$. But, I thought it would be more fun to promise the kids a fun pit stop on the drive. Drinks and snacks for our dwarfs are a special treat on a long ride so we will take a picture of them with their treats and slushies!!! This was so thoughtful of you Rusty Scupper!!! We are sad you will not be volunteering that week at GKTW, but how neat that you get to volunteer there. It would have been so fun to meet you! Thank you so much, Rusty Scupper!


The package contained a beautiful Curious George dress for Bridget from J. I didn’t have a disname for you and didn’t want to use your name in case you prefer to keep that private. It is perfect on her and she is excited to wear it to Universal Studios. Thank you so much for thinking of Bridget. Thank you both so much. We don't really feel deserving, but it sure is nice to be on the receiving end of so much kindness. We truly are grateful for all of the prayers and good wishes. God has given us so much and He has seen Bridgie through so many storms. I think the whole family is truly ready to just enjoy some fun time together.

Friday arrived and there was one more awesome package to end a week of special deliveries every day. It wasn't a Big Give, but so much fun I had to share it!

The big Disney box contained our Rainbow Connection shirts. It was from our wish trip organization. There was one for each of us and a folder with all our information in it. It also had a check to cover our hotel accomodations on the way down and back, as well gas and other expenses.

Rainbow Connection for making all this possible for Bridget and our whole family!!!
