The Many Adventures of Bridgie the Boo Wish Trip -GKTW 6/27-7/3/11 PTR

Bridget the Brave - what an amazing little girl. what a beautiful family you have. I hope you get the cargo situation worked out. Thank you for sharing your story with us.

Thanks so much! It is such a privilege to be her mom. Our trip will be great no matter what. I know we will get it worked out They could throw me in the trunk and I would be happy I was going to the happiest place on Earth :)

We too are taking the girls to Cinderella's Castle--an absolute must for my princess-obsessed 3.5 year old! I'm sure Bridget will love it.

Hope your oldest daughter is feeling better!

Enjoy the planning--love your packing style. Sounds similar to mine. "Oh! I should probably put that aside for our trip. We'll need that." Then I promptly put it somewhere where I think I'll obviously look and it'll be the last place I think of when it actually comes time to pull out the suitcases!

:lmao: I spend the last hour stuffing things in bags after DH has already loaded the real luggage. With 9 people there is always something forgotten in the laundry room, upstairs, etc. I think...oh it would be good to have this or that. Then good luck finding it later! Somehow we all get there with enough belongings. I drive my born organized DH crazy!

I followed you from another thread and am entranced by your daughter's story and your lovely family. Can't wait to hear more and hope that your older daughter is feeling better and Bridget the Brave continues to do well :).

what a beautiful and amazing family you have! I love your DIS name, quite fitting!!! I only have one DD, wow 7 I :worship: down to you!!

Bridget has gone through so much and you have such a wonderful outlook on life!
Hope Catherine is feeling better!

wow you such a short time to plan your trip, but looks like you have a lot figured out already!

hope this trip will bring a lot of magic and happiness to your family!

Blessings to you all!!

Hello, I'm joining in the fun!! Bridgette's story is truly miraculous!

I think once your kids get to GKTW, they won't want to leave. I've heard of kids, once they get there, would rather stay there instead of going to the parks. :rotfl2: I'm sure your kids will fine plenty to do. Don't forget about the Ice Cream.

I hope your DD16 will be feeling ok for the trip.

What a lovely family you have. Cool that Catherine is into Irish Dancing. I used to do Irish dancing before work got in the way :rotfl:

Bridget the Brave sounds like an amazing little girl and pray all goes well for her in the future. :wizard:

I just found your PTR and I can't wait to read all about your trip!! We will be there a couple of overlapping days!!! Also it sounds like you live relatively close to us...we are Notre Dame fans since we live so close, but also Michigan fans because a majority of my family has attended there!!!
Can't wait to hear more!!

party: Wow!!! I’m off the thread for a few days and come back to so many new friends. :welcome:party: Thanks for joining us!

I haven’t been able to post in a while because my kids have been occupying the computer with Finals. Also, I have responded to posts four times now and when I go to submit, lose it all. :badpc: I finally got smart and am writing in Word. Maybe I should be Dopey :lmao:

Awww…thanks so much. I hope you will follow along on her journey to WDW. Both girls have had a good week. We appreciate the good wishes.

pixiedust:Mommy2mrb, You have brought magic and happiness to our trip already!!! Thank you for being our first Big Give!!! I am going to post more when I can add the pics, but wanted to say a big thanks here. The kids were absolutely thrilled.:thanks:

So in responding to your post, I love my name too. Snow White has always been my favorite, so it is perfect. I spent all of my childhood an only child( I was out of college when my sister was born) and I can tell you that 7 is challenging at times, but so is 1. My mom and dad had to work hard to make sure I had enough time with other children and to make sure I wasn’t lonely . We had no family where we lived. My kids, on the other hand, might actually crave a little loneliness at times. I admire all moms who love their kids and want the best for them. Mothering is no easy task some days. So don’t :worship: LOL… Plus, you haven’t seen my house today!!! :rotfl:
It is true we have a short time to plan our trip, but it will all come together. The truth is if I had longer I would have spent too much time planning.

Thank you for the all the good wishes. Blessings to both of you too!

:wave2: Joining in on your PTR. What a beautiful family you have:goodvibes
Thank you! And thanks for joining in on the PTR. :)

Thanks for joining and saying hi! One of my favorite quotes is that "the most amazing thing about miracles is they happen" It really has been quite a journey. It is funny you should say that about the ice cream. When I asked Jack what he wanted to do most at Disney World, I was expecting to hear about rides or something. He said, “I want to eat in that ice cream place. Can we do it every day?!” I think that is every kids dream. Hey, it may be every adult’s dream too!

What a lovely family you have. Cool that Catherine is into Irish Dancing. I used to do Irish dancing before work got in the way :rotfl:

Thank you for the prayers and good wishes. :dance3:We have been an Irish dance family for almost 11 years. Catherine and Bridget both danced until Bridgie got sick. Now Bridget just dances for the neurologist to check her balance She would love to be stable enough to do it again, but it is so intense I’m reluctant. Nora and Jack are starting this year. Danny gave it up after a few years for other things. Catherine and some of her friends entered a local talent show this weekend and took first prize. They were so excited!!! Sorry you had to give it up. What school did you dance with? Hey, at least you can do a jig for St. Patrick’s Day! :dancer:

Happy the package arrived and brought some magic to all the kids! can't wait to see the photos when you have time!

BTW, Snow White is my favorite princess too....Megan says its because when I was little she was the only one :lmao: I'm not THAT old :lmao:

Thanks for joining in! Isn't it fun to be so close to a trip to Disney?!!! Actually, we are opposites :lmao: We are Notre Dame fans that live close to Michigan and the majority of our family went to ND and St. Mary's :) We like to come down to your neck of the woods in the Fall though! Actually, Michigan has been quite good to Bridgie, so we have new admiration for the Wolverines. Hope you have a great vacation with your family and Congratulations on the new little one!

O.K., now I'm counting princesses and I don't get off of one hand. Snow Whiteprincess:, Cinderellaprincess:, Auroraprincess:...now I'm stuck. Uh oh... I'm OLD!!!!

We have had major pixie dust here!!! I am overwhelmed by the kindness of our new friends here on the Dis through the Big Give. My kids have caught me with a few tears in my eyes (and of course they mock me:)) I just wanted to say a quick THANK YOU with a promise to post more this weekend. I can't wait to show you!!! Bridgie had a 2 hour MRI yesterday which translates into a day at the hospital and Nora has a minor ear surgery tomorrow. Tomorrow marks the last day of school for all but Bridgie too. Needless, to say, my dis time has been limited. Thank you again my friends. I am truly grateful for the sunshine you have brought into our lives.

That's the official list (with the new one coming in 2012 from the movie Brave--Merida). A few more to add to your list.

The unsung princesses of Disney: Eilonwy (The Black Cauldron), Kida (Atlantis), Nala (The Lion King), Melody (Little Mermaid II), Mei, Ting-Ting and Su (Mulan II).

Heroines, but not technically princesses: Alice (Alice in Wonderland), Maid Marian (Robin Hood), Megara (Hercules) and Esmerelda (Hunchback of Notre Dame)....princess:princess:princess:

Hope Bridgie's MRI was clear and Nora's surgery goes well today!

What an amazing family you have. Your trip sounds like it will be wonderful. We've driven to Florida from MD several times. It is probably a bit shorter than your drive. My kids (I only have 2) don't mind the drive at all. They watch movies, play on their DS and make friendship bracelets. Hopefully your drive will be uneventful.

I danced with a school in Ireland called Mahon school. We actually danced in Magic Kingdom twice it was AMAZING!
