The Many Adventures of Brer Rabbit - a Non-Disney movie

Hi,

I wanted to share this, as it is something I often suggest when people ask for movies to help them get excited (Kids, especially) for an upcoming Disney trip.

It's called "The Many Adventures of Brer Rabbit" (distributed by Universal). My kids love it and they always ask to watch it before any Disney trip. It provides a nice tie-in for Splash Mountain.

I found a copy at my local Stop & Shop for about $5.00. For anyone interested, Amazon. com has it:

Again, it's not a Disney film. My kids were always asking to watch "The Song of the South", which is unavailable.

Hmmm. That looks neat, I may have to order it. How close is it to Uncle Remus' tales? I had that book as a child and enjoyed it, oddly enough my mother swears she DOESN'T remember me having it (?) LOL I'm not sure if she's too PC to admit she let her kid have it or if she really doesn't remember it. I sure do, though. I wish I could find it. I would love to read my kids the Tar Baby story. I know I can order a new one but I'd love to find MY copy.
