The downside is - my boyfriend was reading the tube and what it is actually used for - he gets really bad rashes on his inner thighs when it is really hot and he is working outside at WDW. He plans on testing out the Monistat to see if it helps him! I told him to get his own bottle - not highjack mine!!! Oh well.

I have used it before for that reason and it does work very well.

I got my everyday minerals sample yesterday - only came from Austin so it got here in a day! Course I don't have anything to apply it with so I haven't even tried it. I am going to hit Target and buy some Sonia Whateverhernameis brushes.

The big question: What kind of brush do I need to apply the mineral base, concealer, and blush?

Oh - Cathryn - I scheduled an appt to do the Stila demo thing for Friday:woohoo: If I like what they offer, I may schedule a Too Faced for the next week.

Ladies!! Good Morning! My neuroma surgery is this morning, so if you see a post from me later that is just rambling.....it's the meds!

At any rate, I am finally using my friend's connection for myself. I ordered myself some Bare Minerals stuff and some brushes, and I should get it this week. I mean, if I get it so cheap, I should try it, right?

Hello ladies,
So happy to have found this thread. I also use Monistat as a face primer, works great and saves a ton of $$$ too. I ordered the EM this morning. I have to ask though what do you use over it? Do you use a mineral Veil of some sort. I hate BE so hoping EM is better. Also I have tried the Too Face mascara but didn't work great for me. I like Diorshow and Benefit bad gal lash better. I guess it just worked better on my lashes. Also for a cheapie brand I like Lash Stilletto by Maybelline, 2 coats works great for me. Almost as good as the expensive ones.

I see some of you are trying out the mineral makeups. Just thought I'd throw out another alternative. I just started using them (almost 2 weeks now) and I LOVE it. I get the look of BE but without the horrid breakout and burnt skin (allergic to bismuth). For color comparison, they have a BE to Aromaleigh chart.

www.aromaleigh.com

They are a husband/wife business and only have an internet presence. They also have a message board and some great advice, etc. on there. Definite makeup addicts!

They don't do free samples - I think the samples are $2 and $.80 with free shipping.

never mind I think that buttered tan is lighter then the beige natural right? but when I put buttered tan on my face it seems more brown then the beige natural I wonder why?:confused3

Hi there, it is so nice to see the DIS is back!

I've been wanting to share since last night that www.toofaced.com is have a sale. They brought back a bunch of last years items at beautycrunch-like prices!

MPA, I had trouble putting things in my cart, I went there as soon as I saw your post.. The prices were fantastic but onlyh one item would go in my cart at a time. What did I do wrong. Did I need log in first? I used it as a sign from providence that I better quit the make up buying for a while but the prices were so good that if you can tell me how to make it stay inthe cart then I might just ignore the sign because there were some fantatic deals. MOst of which are probably gone by now

hmmm, I don't know. Try logging in first. It won't save it unless you are logged in. And I have had to log in every time I go away and come back.

OKay thanks...and when the package arrives, I am going to tell my husband that the people on the boards are using mind control and FORCING me to buy this make up.

BTW,

Kind of funny I went to the eye doctor on Sat and he dialated my eyes so Igo to the Company Store after and see what I think is a cream based MAC shadow. I have to ask the clerk what the color name is on the bottom because I cannot read and I need to tell the clerk behind the counter so she can get it for me. I get home never look at it an d put it all over my eye lid. It looked like a subltle gold in the jar and Ithought it would go well under my matte shadow. It was horrible...when my eyes cleared up...it was fluid line!!!! I have a jar of fluid line in GOLD. I will find a way to use it but it was a disappointment.

I get home to my 4 yr old having put wter in 3 of my BE foundations - any way to save them?

I can tell you what I would try...

I would lay the powder out on a piece of paper and let it air dry. You might also put it on the clothes dryer (while running). The heat may speed it up.

does the beige natural have more yellow in it then the buttered tan in the EM? thanks

Good morning ladies! Just saying hello

I have yet to find my Monistat. I think it has disappeared in the black hole that is under the bathroom counter. So, I'm going to try to find more somewhere. I remember I had a hard time finding it though when I bought it the first time....

what is the best eyelash curler? I am going this weekend as a girls weekend and we are going on a make up and clothing hunt.

I wanted to know b/c every time I use one I can't get my eyelashes in one to even curl them or am i doing it wrong?

and i know this has been asked but i was wondering what mascara is recommended for someone who only wants to put one coat on? and one that I can get with out having to order. thanks :goodvibes

oh and my friend who has never worn make up (in her 40's) just ordered her EM sample kit and brought them to me and said "what do I do with them?" too cute.

anyway i was wondering about some brushes for her I want to help her get some for cheap but not cheap made.

I have the brushes from BE and just ordered the flat top on EM so I'm really no help when it comes to over the counter ones. thanks :goodvibes

I love love LOVE Benefit BadGal Lash, and you can get it at Sephora stores and some Macy's stores. I like it even better than the Lash Injection, but it doesn't tube and isn't waterproof. But you only need one coat of that.

I also only use one coat of the Lash Injection and it's sufficient for me (I have very long/thick lashes though)

I've heard wonderful things about the Sonia Kashuk brushes at Target. I have a SK concealer brush and while I don't have anything to compare it to, it seems great to me. I haven't had any problems with bristles coming out or anything like that.

I finally broke down yesterday and bought the Too Faced "Teddy Bear Hair" brush set at Ulta. :cloud9: It was $62.50 dollars for five brushes and a cute pink makeup bag. That's about $12.50 per brush. I've been wanting TF brushes forever!
