I went to Spectra and it was more confusning than navigating Make up Alley do you have any advice? I could not really find forums like this. :confused3

Really? Did you go to the forums section? Here is the link to the reviews section of the forum. It's broken down into MAC, high end, and drugstore brands to make it easier.

Hey guys,

Did you see the exclusive spot on Beautycrunch with the new offerings for "loyal customers"? There was a pop beauty shadow lip thing with 35 shadows and a bunch of other stuff in a jewlery box....for 20 and yes guess who bought it? I could not control myself. I heard that Pop was an English company and the products were not bad. Did I really need it? NO!

I like POP. I posted awhile back about their blush cakes. I love them. :thumbsup2

Totally OT,

I am not a Vera Bradley fan but I need a few things for Mother's Day so I went to her site and they were having a sale, some things were 75% off and then if you use the code Extra20 by April 24 you get an extra 20% off. I got 1 mother's day present, 2 birthday presents, 1 Christmas present, a make up case for me(large of course and yes I guess this IS related to the topic), book cover and a Cargo sling for me (hate it but it is light weight for travel) all for 133 at retail it would have been slightly over 400! ! Most of the items I got were retailed for over 75.00. I will admit they zap you on shipping it was 15.00 and they do charge tax if your state has a sales tax but still and all it was a savings.
Some of the sale items were retired patterns and some were current patterns. I could not care less when it comes to a make up case what the pattern is however I do like Botanica and they had it in that pattern.

the shu lash curler is what i have & it's fab. i got some fab stuff & I'll add pics when I can probably later today/this wk. :)

My UD stuff came today. The lipsticks are just meh. I don't hate them but I don't love them either. My eye cream came from Sephora too. I can't wait to try it. I have some serious lines under my eyes. It looked like x-mas on my door step when I got home from work with all my packages waiting for me.

I placed an order for the 12 piece custom kit from Everyday Minerals on Thursday evening, and I got it today. I was surprised at how a quickly it came. So I have some new stuff to check out. I got 2 foundations, 4 blushes, 2 finishing powders, 1 pressed powder, 1 concealer, and 2 brushes.

Last week I had the "good" Ulta coupon, which I received in the mail. I used it for 20% off Be Delicious, which came with a free gift, and a gift set of Pink Sugar. I love them both! :lovestruc

Okay update on the UD lipsticks. They taste NASTY. :scared: I don't know what to do about them.

What is UD? and where did you get them? Can you return them?

ETA never mind I figured it out it is urban decay. Did you get them from Sephora? They will take it all back.

I got them from UD. The funny thing is I have other UD lipsticks and they don't taste like.....rat poison? lol

Ewwww, did you get a return slip with your order? I hope you can return them.

I found out today that my favorite liquid foundation is being discontinued! I'm bummed. When I run out I will need to find a new one. Any suggestions? I don't like mineral makeup at all.

I would definately contact them. Tell them that just because they have the word decay in their brand does not mean they need to live up to it in their product. Seriously I would definately contact them. Just a thought where is the product made? China? Could be a manufacturing problem and I would definately make them aware.

Thank you!! My MIL loves Vera Bradley but never could afford it so we bought her one for Christmas during a big sale in the fall. Since Mom's Day is soon, I ordered her two accessory pieces to go with the one we got her and a mini hipster for her summer travels.

I had to pay $8 on shipping, which is fairly ridiculous IMO. I agree they zap you on that.

YOu did use the 20%code right? I figured it out when you use the code it kind of offsets the shipping depending on the pieces you buy. BTW last year on 12/12 they had a 50% off sale including the sale pieces but that is kind of a short time before Christmas and I was not sure if they would have the pieces I wanted for christmas if I waited. As it turns out the bag I got my MIL for next Christmas was 75 and I paid 28 I could wait but then they may not have it. I am glad you were able to take advantage of it.:cutie:

Has anyone tried any of the Boots products that they sell at Target? I was just wondering what your opinions were. They seem to be pretty reasonably priced.

Yep, I used that code :thumbsup2

I know some of you were looking for the Stila Smudge Pot Trio. It looks as if they are listed under sneak peaks and extra deals on Beauty Crunch. Again they are sold out but it also seems to me I pretty much check that site every other day and they just showed up on there so I am guessing they might get them in again. I cannot remember who it was that wanted them but if you check out the Sneak Peeks area of the Sneak Peeks on beautycrunch you will see what I mean and maybe you might be able to get them.

I do not know if any of you use MUD make up but if you type in gossmakeupartist in the coupon field when you buy it you will get an additional 15% off.

I never tried Boots but I will say this. It is really difficult for me to try new things from Target because if the package is opened, they will not take it back.

I bought some lip glosses from Almay that are just horrible, they feel slimy, they smell funny and I think I can get a longer lasting shine by just licking my lips. I brought them back the next day and they wouldn't take them. I even tried to give them to my dd12 because the color was very sheer and she didn't even want it. Since then, I've been very reluctant to buy anything from Target unless I already know I like it.

I just got my order from Sephora. I ordered the Clinique Black Honey lipstick (which I love!), and the Too Faced Pinpoint mascara. I am so dissappointed in this mascara. I had such high hopes! It is OK, but definately nothing to get excited about. Are there any tips to applying it? I used more than one coat, but my L'Oreal Lash Out is still my favorite. Also, I have never used a eyelash curler. Would that maybe make a difference? Any advice appreciated.
