CR,

Got mine today and I love it! YOu were not around this weekend to talk me down (lol like you would even think of it)so I got a new flat iron(solano) I found the one I wanted for 35 less than folica by searchng the net. I also got more Beauty Crunch for an additional 66 but that dam shipping KILLS me.

OF course my DH was home today to get the BC package and then when I went to the porch the flat iron was there too! I told him that the BC was only a partial order NOT that I had ordered more. LOL Not that he cares but I know that if I live to be a million I will never use it all up. I seriously, seriously am an addict. You know how some people are shopaholics...I am a makeupaholic.

Since you admitted it.....

I made my initial beauty crunch order.

Then I made another one.

Then I made another one.

I also will be rec'vg partial orders.

Keeping in mind.... I have 17 days to go, for my hair show. (where they sell more makeup, too) :scared1:

If youre an addict, Im an addict.... and Im not an addict. :snooty: ;) :lmao:

I ALSO....

Bought 4 pairs of GAP jeans this afternoon. It should have been 4 pairs of jeans and a shirt - but the shirt went *poof* by the time I got to payment time. I HATE when that happens!!

Cant wait to get my jeans!!! :yay:

Oh - and shipping..... I - whenever it's available - will pay for over night shipping. Why? Cuz lets say the normal shipping is $10 - and over night is $20. And normal shipping takes 10 days.... I figure a dollar a day is worth my sanity. :)

I dont think I'll keep them all. Am I the only buyer here, who does so with intentions of probably returning some?

Catherine Rose,

I thought at the beauty shows they gave you products. Now I guess I am not all that jealous. I have to find a way to find out when the Mac make up artists go to Maggianos for their new lines. I wonder how many times a year they change the line. Is it in Winter and Summer? Or is it for fout times a year for each season. My friend tired to go in and get the info from the Mac make up artist near us but he only told her that going to the conferneces were fun. WE have an friend we NEVER see anymore and now her son is a Mac Make up artist ..he is actually a memeber of their dream team and does all the fashion shows. It is too bad we cannot call her but we have been out of touch for quite a few years. Dam.

The only thing I did not like about Beauty Crunch is that when I put in my second order some of the items were not available like the Stila concealer. I check the next day and it was available but not worth it to order because the shipping was 7.98 not really making the savings all that much on the concealer.

When you shop on line do you check naughtycodes.com or retailmenot.com for codes? I saved an extra 5.oo on my flat iron by going on there. It was supposed to be a code that was used after you make your first purchase not ON your first purchase. I think there are some other code sites out there so I will try to find them. I always check out the codes for sephora becuase I can stack them and usually get some neat little extras.

How do you stack the codes at Sephora? I missed out on a free sample of Smashbox eye primer because I had a code for 15% off?

Sorry if this has been covered before.... I was wondering if anyone has had problems with mineral makeup itching their face? I bought the Loreal version and I've been itching. I think I'll be switching back to my usual Clinique makeup. I love the coverage with the mineral stuff, but hate the itch.

Has anyone heard of Shu Umera? I picked up some from my friend tonight, and was just wondering. Also, I have a line on TONS of BE and Philosophy stuff, if anyone's looking.

There is an ingredient, bismuth oxychloride, in certain brands of MMU that causes that itching in some people (both infomercial brands- Bare Minerals and Sheer Cover- contain it). Look for MMU that doesn't have that ingredient. I use Everyday Minerals, and all of their products are bismuth free- no itch!

What Philosophy stuff????

Do you have a facebook page??

I need help. I have always used Creme de la mer lotion. But with the current economy, I need to find something else cheaper. I need something that is not too heavy (I'm in humidity rich FL) but will keep my wrinkles at bay without making me break out. Any suggestions. I am willing to pay more then drugstores but not $150 for a small container.

"Update" happens 4 times a year (once each season for the upcoming season). "Basic Training" (which is the training that all new artists go to within a month of hiring) can happen at many times throughout the year, depending on how many people a particular region has hired, etc, etc.

"Update" is where the upcoming collections are displayed and demo'd, and where you get tips on application and selling of recently released or soon to be released products and collections. It's two days long. It's usually roughly in October for Winter, January for Spring, April for Summer, July for Fall.

"Basic" is where you learn how to do things the "MAC" way. You learn foundations and skin matching, how to pair certain colors and use certain products, tips and tricks, how to do smokey eyes, making "day" looks and "night" looks, applying lashes, etc, etc.

I remember you mentioning vitamin E in another thread. I bought some and I'm quite impressed. It wasn't expensive at all. I think $3+ for two tubs. It's not straight E, it's called "Fruit of the Earth" and it has aloe and other stuff I can't think of. I was so scared it would break me out because it is so thick and creamy but I really think I see an improvment in my skin! I have no idea how it would compare to somelike like Creme de Mer with such a vast difference in price but maybe??? I don't know I don't recommend a lot of skincare cuz I am very fortunate in that I have good skin that doesn't break out. So far this year I've tried new foundation, a primer, this vitamin E stuff, no breakouts. Kudos to the parents for that good gene. :thumbsup2

Heeeey, April isn't that far away! I wonder how one would find out where this things are held, and maybe snoop around

The MAC sales people seem to be well trained and really know their stuff. So, this is my plan. I need a good blush brush (for the four NARS blushes I've bought in the last four months  ) So I'm thinking I may spring for a skunk brush. So, maybe it's time to book an appointment for a real makeup consultation and makeover with MAC and buy the skunk brush and something else. Am I right in thinking that to get a makeover you have pay $50 OR buy $50 in their products? I'd love to be color matched for foundation. And that new rose romance collection looks positively dreamy. Yep, I'm going to do it.

I was also one who got my EM samples on Monday! They must wonder why the sudden sample order? I have tried two shades of foundation so far and I like them both. Hmmmmm? I'll try the third tomorrow and see what that one does. This is a hard time of year to decide because I'm planning on being tanner!

Kar ~ It's been snowing here. I need a SoCal weather report!

Cat ~ After all that perfume talk a couple of weeks ago I have tried those Estee Lauder samples I had from a gift exchange. I think I like Beautiful and it doesn't make me sneeze. I'm going to try Pleasures next. I wish I knew exactly what makes me sneeze so I could look for it in ingredients.

if you have that one in a mini - try it. Because if you like it, I have almost a full bottle you can have.

I have used Shu Umera mascara and it is really good. I have not used any of the other items in the line.
