YOU LADIES ARE SO HELPFUL!!

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR TIPS!

FYI - for those of you that wanted stuff, I won't send you totals until I have the product in my hot little hands. I just want to make sure all is well and that I can ship promptly.

Thanks!

I know that this has been asked before but i was wondering what is the best primer to use and the cheapest please. thanks :goodvibes

I have used Make Up Forever but that is NOT cheap...I think either Smash Box Photo Finish or The Bare Essentials primer are good. They are about 15 per bottle but they last for a long time. They are both the same so go for the one that is less expensive. I now use Sue Divitt primer it has green in it which neutralizes the redness since I have slight rosacia(sp).

I don't like to wash my hair everyday and I never had a problem with that until I cut my hair short. I want to use a dry shampoo but I don't know what one to try. Has anyone ever tried one and what one.

thanks - I was wondering is the BE rever upper a primer or is that something different? thanks

OK, ladies....I am completely befuddled here......

I was just over at Make Up Alley looking at foundation reviews. Most of them mention putting on liquid foundation with a BRUSH. Huh? :confused3

I have tried to use a sponge in the past, but never did like it, so I always just used my fingers. I can't imagine putting foundation on with a brush.

How exactly does this work?

it's something different - the bottle says to use under moisturizer or by itself, it's got a gentle acid in it to keep skin bright and fresh. I like how it smells orangy. I can't tell a difference in how my skin looks when I use it, but it feels better.

About primer - I dug through a bag of samples I found under the sink, and one was for Smashbox primer - love that stuff!! I'm going to have to spring for a bottle of this.

I just got some new liquid foundation from Mac and love it. She did apply it to my face with a brush, so I bought one, and must say it took a few days to get the hang of it. I LOVE IT! Make sure you get a really nice brush and clean it with brush cleaner often.

Hope that helps!

The gal at Mario put my liquid foundation on with a brush as well...it wasn't a "fluffy" brush though...it was more flat and wide, does that make sense? I haven't gotten the hang of it yet, I can do concealer with a brush...but not the foundation...I end up using my fingers!

OK - I received my everyday minerals free sample order today - I struck out on the 3 foundation shades, 1 is close but the others are off. I got the Mint concealer, I think this one is going to be a winner. Really tones down the ruddiness in my cheeks. For my blush, I picked Corner Office and love it - a warm neutral color with a little sparkle to it. A shade darker than the Nars O with not as much pink, and about 1/2 the sparkle. I paid for 2 samples - the Auburn brow powder and Sunshine dusting powder. I'm not sure about the brow powder - I need to practice with it, I got too much on my brush and it was not good. I picked up the dusting powder to use instead of MIneral Veil, but I need to give it another chance as well, it's a completely difference color and didn't give that smooth finish.

I also cleaned out my makeup drawer and found a couple of products that came in Smashbox kits at Costco. I bought the kits for the other stuff and have questions about these products.

1. Smashbox Soft Lights in Glow - it's a really wide container and came with a giant fluffy soft brush - when do I use this?

2. Smashbox Skin Tint in Radiance - looks like a giant tube of foundation colored lipstick, has a slight shimmer to it. Again, how is this used?

I've been busy - I stopped in at Ulta for shampoo last week and picked up a few things recommended here.

1. Too Faced eye primer - like it
2. Too Faced mascara - like it too
3. got a sample of Smashbox O-Gloss "intuitive lip gloss with goji berry-c complex" - it goes on clear, but ends up a soft pink, a little too pink for me. AFter a couple hours the edges had gone pepto-pink. yuck. If you look good in a pink/berry lip gloss (I wear other colors) it might work for you.

Has anyone tried the Covergirl Eyelights Mascara? You're supposed to get a color based on your eyecolor and it claims to make your eyes look brighter. Any luck anyone?

It is the one in the white bottle with the black pump. I cannot remember the name and it is down stairs. Since I used the the Sue Divitt I have not used the BE so I think it might be called Prime Time but I could be wrong.

Is it Smashbox Photo Finish?

I havent tried it. I like black mascara, though.

I got my first beautycrunch order yesterday. YAY!!!

Wonderful. :goodvibes

I got my sephora order yesterday too. :woohoo:

Are you loving everything you got from Beautycrunch? I have to admit, I haven't tried anything from Stila yet. I don't like the way you have to buy the eyeshadow and the case to put it in seperate. I got a sample for Stila's primer and for a illuminating tinted moisterizer that I'm excited to try. I always wanted to try a tinted moisterizer for summer, when I'm much more casual and want a more natural look.

I tried the Too Faced Girls Dig Pearls lipgloss in Mermaid. I'm not loving it. I'm trying to decide to keep it or return it for another Buxom Lips lipgloss. Close up it is a very glittery, which I can handle but it is NOT the same shade as the girl in the picture. I wanted an icy pink, and this comes off as sort of a rosey color. I like it I guess but it was not what I had in mind. This is the second time I bought a lipgloss because I liked it in a picture on someone else, but it doesn't look the same on me. Maybe I have weird colored lips that throws it off or something. :confused3

I can't wait to try my new NARS blushes! Angelika looks very pretty in the case! And I am really loving my Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Pressed Powder! This stuff is amazing! It makes my makeup look flawless! I put on a full face for my first day at the Plastic Surgeon's office and it looked fresh all day. I was so glad I did because everyone there is dressed up. It's a much different environment than the hospital OR.

That sounds interesting, I'm all for brighter looking eyes! I remember hearing that when you wear sparkly earrings (like say diamonds :rolleyes1 ), it makes your eyes seem to sparkle more. I don't have diamond earings, but I never wear dull colored earrings ever since I heard that.

When I won some Max Factor makeup from a Lucky Magazine sweepstakes thing, I got a colored mascara. It was called Vivid Impact and had a blue basecoat for your lashes and on the other side was a pink highlighting topcoat color. I tried it and it was kind of a fun look. I don't use it much though because I am very conservative with colors on my face and I thought maybe it was more for someone younger. Hey, I thought was really becoming more dramatic when I moved from brown mascara to black! But I have ventured out with the blue/pink mascara and it's really subtle.

LUCKY! Working in Plastic Surgeon's office!!!!! Jealous!!!

Stila's shadows are very very smooth. Very silky, very buttery to put on. I really like them.

They are (IMO) runner up to TiGi shadows, which (again, IMO) are *the best* eye shadows out there, hands down. Theyre fantastic.

Yeah - that color didnt look like that girls lips, in person - I agree. It was much pinker.

You need a milky color. lemme think.

CR,

Got mine today and I love it! YOu were not around this weekend to talk me down (lol like you would even think of it)so I got a new flat iron(solano) I found the one I wanted for 35 less than folica by searchng the net. I also got more Beauty Crunch for an additional 66 but that dam shipping KILLS me.

OF course my DH was home today to get the BC package and then when I went to the porch the flat iron was there too! I told him that the BC was only a partial order NOT that I had ordered more. LOL Not that he cares but I know that if I live to be a million I will never use it all up. I seriously, seriously am an addict. You know how some people are shopaholics...I am a makeupaholic.
