I think the brush I'm using now is kinda big so maybe I won't have that much trouble.

KimR ~ I'm curious to know if you are still using a lash primer when using the Lash Injection. I know you had quite an extensive eyelash routine, has this cut down on that and is the result the same?

Next question: We have had a lot of suggestions on this thread, and I don't think I can go back and read it all. Quickly remind me, what is everyone's favorite eye product for wrinkles?

See if this works:

On clarifying shampoo, I too use the Paul Mitchell. My hair is oily so I use it more often (2-3x a week) but the rest of the time I use the Awapuhi shampoo.

I take my own polish to the salon :goodvibes I am fond of the OPI Hawaiian Orchid which is a light(ish) pink but still vibrant. I only do color on my toes, though, because my nail color doesn't last long with my job. I found a great nail salon, they just don't always have colors that I like, so I always take my own. That way I can touch it up if I need to.

omg...spring collections...hellllpppp. :)
I have postponed my Sephora trip until the weekend, so I can also eat at Cheesecake Factory and buy some clothes for my trip next month. Hopefully my list will not grow between now and then. Although I do get paid on Friday!

I agree. This thread has moved really fast and I'm sure a lot of questions got buried. I don't color my own hair, that's why I didn't answer the hair color questions. I'm so spoiled, my sister works at a hair salon and I get it cut for free. :cutie: Well, I give the girl $20 for her time and for that I get a cut/color/highlights/style.

I just painted my nails yesterday in OPI: Suzi Sells Sushi by the Seashore

It's a really soft color mauve-beige color. :lovestruc One of my favorites. But the OPI topcoat is bugging me. It takes too long to dry, I'm always getting them scuffed up. When I get my next ULTA rewards, I'm going to use mine on a free bottle of Seche Vite.

Hey, does anyone have a "CosmoProf" stores in their area? You have to have a beautician’s license to get in. I would love to see what's in there. But I'm afaid I'll get "carded" as soon as I walk in. My sister is a message therapist and I am trying to get her to take me. Anyone ever been? Is it worth the trip?

Also, what books or magazines do you guys like to get tricks of the trade, sort to speak. I have a subscription to LUCKY magazine. I like it a lot and I have even won some make-up from their contests. I got a whole bunch of Max Factor makeup from them. I also got a book "How Not To Look Old" by Charla Krupp. Since I am 42 and just really getting into the whole make-up thing, ugh I can't find the words, I don't want to look like I trying to pass off as a teenager, know what I mean? I want to look beautful for my age. I think her book is great.

Clarifying shampoo? I don't use one. But I switch brands a lot. Does that count? I go from Matrix Amplify XL, Redkin Blond Glam, and right now, Nexxus Color Assure/Endure.

The OPI I like is almost that color, just a little more pink.

I have been to CosmoProf! My stylist friend (who has since moved away, alas, he used to cut and color my hair for next to nothing!) took me in there with him when we were buying some product to highlight my hair. That place is AWESOME and dirt-cheap. They sold the Paul Mitchell color there, as well as a buttload of other things that I really really wanted! If she can take you there, I'd say go! I wish I could, rather than spend a fortune on my products at ULTA.

Yup, still use the primer. My lashes need all the help they can get. I can do my lashes a little faster now because the wand on the lash injection is sooo much easier to use than Fatale (my old mascara). The results are about the same except when I curl my lashes - then I like the look of the Lash injection better. Not sure why that would matter. :confused3

As for clairifying shampoo: my hairdresser suggested that I use baking soda on my hair every once in a while (mix it in with my regular shampoo). I THINK that is supposed to do the same thing as a clairfying shampoo - does anyone know?

Heck yeah Ive been to CosmoProf - but I'm licensed. :cool1: It's an awesome store! :goodvibes They will probably card you at the door - and if not you have to have a 'number' to give them when you check out.

I love Allure. That's my favorite magazine (for makeup, etc)

I like Marie Claire for articles.

HOLY CARP!!!!! FUN!!! (We totally need a jealous, pouty-face smiley!)

I KNOW!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I love it so much - I look forward to it as much as I look forward to Disney trips... :woohoo: I met (and got a picture with) Nick Arrogo last year!!! :cheer2:

This is how my year goes:

Look forward to Disney in January
Look forward to Hair Show
Look forward to 4th of July (dont know why, but I love the 4th!)
Look forward to Disney in September
Look forward to Halloween
Look forward to Disney in January (starts over again, right here)

Hey CathrynRose! DD is licensed and will be going to that show too! I think I am going with her. Can't remember if she asked me to go or not, but I AM going!
Forgot to check: Am I allowed to go? I thought I could as long as I paid to get in with her? Maybe that was another hair show at McCormick Place?

YES GO!! Your daughter can pick up the tickets as (someone mentioned CosmoProf) or another beauty supply store - or the salon she works at can order them for her OR she can get them directly from that link I sent you.

You have to be a licensed stylist to buy tickets - that being said, Ive brought my mom in the past - and have brought my BFF for many years. (neither was / is licensed)

YES GO!

:worship: CathrynRose!:worship:

I will get right on it! Can't wait!

OH - and Kimmie when you go - bring a wheely suitcase. You know, like 'carry on' size?

Ive made the mistake one too many times the "Oh I dont need it" and come home with sore shoulders and arms! :lmao: Bring it..... everyone does.

How can you shop efficiently with sore arms? You just cant. :rolleyes1

However, being a convention - they do have a 'mixed drink' bar. If you do end up with sore arms, it's nothing a Rum Runner cant temporarily fix. :lmao:

ME too Chessecake Factory is my favorite and of course clothes, shoes, make up, and last but not least jewlery. Don't you just love it when you have new clothes, new shoes and new make up all at once?

When you talk about the OPI top coat are you using the quick dry top coat?

I find it dries in a quick time but it is hard to use up the bottle because it gets too thick to quickly and it is expensive. It is over 9.00 on transdesigns and in the store I think it is like 12 or 15.o0.

I have used Seche Vite and was not impressed maybe I will give it anohter try because maybe I am missing something.

Wow I am shocked you are not a shoe person....I love shoes and I must have over 120 pairs. The worst thing is I broke my little toe too many times, I had surgery three years ago to correct it buy dam if it is not back again. I hate flats and so I must wear them it is like pennance for not wearing shoes and breaking my toe so much after my mother told me her my whole life to put my shoes on :rotfl:
