My nails ar finally long enough that I wanted to try and do an at-home French Manicure. Well, it didn't go so well! :lmao: I had bought the Sally Hansen French Manicure set; comes with the white and french nail polishes, and sticky tabs. The white polish was very goopy and difficult to smooth out. Plus when I removed the sticky tabs, the white polish would smudge or crack along the edge.....ugh. I tried twice before giving up!

Does anyone else do French Manicures themselves? What products do you use? Any tips/advice would be appreciated!

I've done youtube searches and notice that some women use regular white nail polish, or a white tip pen (for french manicures). Have you tried these methods?

Thanks,
diznee25

I use nail polish pens - I don't always like the "traditional" pink/white french manicure, that way I can change it up!

Thanks. :thumbsup2 I'm going to Ulta tomorrow to look for white tip nail polish pens.

I was shopping at Ulta today for some nail polish. I noticed a small bin down one of the aisles, and it had everything from China Glaze to OPI. Most bottles were around $4.99.

The cashier told me this was the first time she had ever seen OPI discounted. I was so giddy because I love OPI....I got the Sparrow me the Drama for $4.99. That's from the Pirates of Caribbean collection, it's pink.

So go out and check your local Ulta store! :thumbsup2

:)Can someone tell me about the Clarisonic face brush? I was in Sephora last week and was talking to the consultant about it, but I don't know if it would be good for me or not. :confused3

I have oily, acne-prone skin that tends to be pretty sensitive. I was at Sephora to return the Philosophy Micro-delivery that made me break out terribly.

It seems really pricey...is it worth it?

I'd love to hear all your experiences ~ good or bad!

I've been using my Clarisonic brush for about 4 years and I love it. I'm 49, very oily skin, large pores but no acne. My pores used to be filled with black heads. The Clarisonic brush not only cleans but it has also improve my skin texture. It is expensive but I highly recommend it. It's I also read review of the Olay brush with similar results but I've not tried it personally.

I have used both but I like the clarisonic better....sad but true. I got the really expensive one when Sephora had a sale and I had a bunch of gift cards so out of pocket it was like 64.00 but really I think it is like over 200.00 which is kind of expensive!

i'm using the olay brush (like the clarisonic but only 2 speeds & $20 instead 0f 150)

I love my Clarisonic Mia. I could tell a difference in my oily T-zone from day 1. I also have less breakouts. Within weeks of using it, I began to get quite a few compliments on my skin, convincing me that the results I saw were evident to others. I wish I had gotten one sooner.

Do you like the Olay brush?

Dunno.

The Clarisonic is absolutely amazingly wonderful and worth it's weight it gold. After having used it, I'd pay twice as much for it.

I also have that Neutrogena Healthy Skin / Microdermabrasion kit. But I find I don't need it as often, at all. The clarisonic is just amazing.

Damnit, I want to use that money to buy a Kate Spade purse!! I can't get both!! :lmao:

Finally got the Urban Decay Naked palette - would love to hear your best tips and tricks with this set, and photos :D

For the original Naked, I love using Virgin as a highlight/tear duct, Naked on the lid, and Buck in the crease for a "my eyes, but better."

For a dramatic smoky eye, Creep on the lid and Gunmetal on the crease. I blend Creep out so it is light toward the tear duct and dark toward the outer v.

Another fave is Toasted on the lid, Hustle lightly in the crease, and Darkhorse in the outer V.

For a metallic look, Half Baked on the lid and Smog in the crease.

With Naked2, I haven't played around with it as much, but my recent fave look with it was Pistol on the lid, Verve in the crease, and Gunmetal (from Original) in the outer V.

Get the Clarisonic brush...much better than a purse :thumbsup2

Agreed. :thumbsup2

AND SARAJAYNE: Go to www.skinstore.com - use code: NEW2012 or FAB20 (20% off) and it's free shipping over $49. They have the MIA in a ton of different colors, on that site. Fun!

Then come back and let us know how you like it, once you have it, because you know you're gonna get it. :lmao:

P.S. - I ordered the 2 day UPS shipping (it was like $10 or something) I ordered it, late late Wednesday night (more like Thursday early morning) assuming I'd get it Saturday. It was sitting on my porch, Friday morning. :)
