Hey All!

Can someone recommend a great moisturizer and eye cream?

Thanks!
Brunette

For moisturizer, I like Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment by H2O+. It isn't something a lot of people might like since it is more of a gel than a cream, but for my skin that tends to get very oily from moisturizer, I really like it.

For eye cream, I really, really like Philosophy's Advanced Eye Hope. I also have used and like the Eye Oasis Moisture Replenishing Treatment by H2O+. I can't really compare the two since they are totally different, but I did like both for adding moisture to the skin around my eye area.

Sephora still has the FF2009 promotion I think so if you want the Eye Care Advanced you can get it for 9.00 off.

Today I bought QVCs special value of the day which contains several Bare Essentials products. It has blush, a couple of eye shadows, mascara, liner, mineral veil and lip gloss plus the brushes. I can't wait to get it.

Has anyone bought anything good lately? :confused3

I got the Kat Von D shadow set Beethovan it is good. If you save your Sephora Points you can get a smaller version for 500 pts.

I was just about to check out Beauty Crunch but I thought I would check here first because I was looking for sales. God knows I need more make up. I really want to buy some MUD. They had it on sale a while ago and like an idiot Idid not get it. They were giving 20 worth of free make up. I must have been crazy not to take advantage.

Just checked out Beauty Crunch. If you sign in and then go to the home page they have the special deals. They had a few really good deals for stocking stuffers. They have a small shadow compact"Little Brown Dress" 2 for 10.00 usually 25 each...I got two of these last time they had it for this price it is a great stocking stuffer. They also have a huge compact with mulitple colors of blush shadow and lip color TWO for 20! I also have this and love it. I cannot remember the manufacturer but if you go on you will see it. These are really good for gifts. I got them for my niece for Christmas and you cannot beat the price.

Eye shadow/primer base..........I use Covergirl Outlast lipstick (liquid type in tube) as eyeshadow base- buy in a neutral colour-put on let dry then put any eyeshadow on- eyeshadow will then last ALL day no problems. I have oily skin and eyeshadow would NEVER stay on- tried many different brands and primers. :)

What color do you use?

I'm glad I saw this thread. I hope someone on here has an answer to my makeup problem:

Last month, we were in EPCOT and I bought some Guerlain makeup in the France section. I love the makeup, especially the mascara. It doesn't smudge at all. Only thing is, the last 3 times I've worn it, the next day I wake up and my eyes are very red and watery. I'd hate to throw it away, cause I love the way it works and it was very expensive. Any helpful hints? Has anyone had this happen to them?

I haven't. But you're taking it off at night, right?

Well if she is advertising it then I am guess she is SAYING it is the top selling make up even if it isn't. You could go to the Cover Girl Site and I bet they show you which celeb is selling which make up.

Ahhh, you are probably right. Of course she would say it is the TOP selling make-up!!!! :lmao: Its all about the marketing. ::yes::

Yes, definitely taking it off at night. I just got back from the drugstore where I bought some Visine total eye wipes that remove makeup and sooth your eyes. I also bought some natural tear eye drops to flush whatever's in my eyes out.

DH told me to stop using the Guerlain mascara. I guess I'll have to, but it looks so cool on.:lmao: Its magenta colored and like I said, doesn't smudge.

Do any of you ladies own a nail dryer? I'd like one but I can't find one that is of a decent quality-I've tried Sephora, Ulta, Sally's and Trade Secret.
Has anyone tried the new heated clip remington rollers? I'm thinking I may get them for Xmas for my mom, who hot rollers her hair everyday.

:cool1: My Sephora order came today! :cloud9: So far, I've sampled the eye shadows in the Tarte set and the eye liners. Actually did a little testing on the eye liners and, so far, I think I like the Makeup Forever Aqua eyes one the best. It smudged the least directly after drawing the line and took longer to wipe off after getting my hand wet.

My samples: (1) the new perfume by Leslie Blodgett of BE fame. It was nice. Not sure it is something I'll really wear, but then there are very few perfumes I can wear because of my allergies. (2) Smashbox primer - very curious to see if I will like this better or as much as the Monistat or BE Prime Time. (3) New Clinque Redness Solution - really interested in trying this since I always have some redness on my cheeks. It is a little pricey, but if it works it would be worth it.

GoofyforDisney3, how did the Clinique Redness Sollution work out? I bought the cream cleanser last week when they had the bonus - the bonus was so good that I went back & got two Bamboo Pink lipsticks, one butter shine and the other long lasting.

Has anyone bought the Tarte Treasure Chest @ Sephora:

or the Ultimate Blockbuster:

Planning a trip to Sephora (and to Costco to look for those brushes) :cloud9:
