The Magician on Crescent Lake. A sister TR 4/28-5/4/24, New TR link 9/22**

I've never seen PPF with such a low wait and you got to take a good picture in there.
It was crazy to see such a low wait time I loved it 😍
I was just thinking the same thing. You're getting so much done.
We really did and we weren’t rushing around
Oh noooo! Disney seems to changing things around a lot lately.
I know the parade was at 1200 all the way until this time
I love the Dapper Dans. What a treat for H.
We do as well! Such a treat to listen to them
We watched the parade from here once and it really is a great spot.
It was a wonderful location
Fabulous picture!!!
Thank you so much!
What a great morning/afternoon in MK. You got a lot done!! And that view for FOF. I have never watched from the train station but I might have to think about it for next time. When I was there in April, I did an LL for the parade for the first time. It was nice to have a designated spot but wow, was it HOT!
I didn’t even know they offered a LL for the parade. Will keep that in mind.
The train area worked well for us
Love your Castle & sisters pic!
Thank you so much 😊

Are you sure you weren’t dreaming??
It sure felt like it. I have not seen the wait time less than 60 minutes in a very long time! It was very unusual!
Ah, the good old days.
Yes you really had some great set ups for the ride photos! I hope you make a return soon and show us some fun staged pictures again!
Ugh. I remember when mine were little. I’d take them to the park and before you knew it I was taking care of half a dozen more kids. Parents nowhere to be seen.
So many kids are ignored for the ❤️ of the parent’s phone, ugh I hate seeing that!
Yer darned tootin’!
Yes Sir! traditional PM picture on my next trip!

“Abracadabra”

We keep with the “magic” theme around Crescent Lake!

Here are a few more pictures from our time in the MK and two of our treats we got at the Confectionery.

We also had a Mickey shaped sugar cookie and it was delicious. We had started eating that one before the phone could eat! :rotfl:

We did sit on our balcony for a while. We had some chips, dip and a beer.

After this none of us wanted to go swimming! We had good intentions to swim several times and spoiler, we never did!

I know this pool area is awesome but we never felt like swimming so we never did enjoy that beautiful pool.

We relaxed for a little while longer and decided to walk over to AbracadaBar!
IMG_2024-06-10-183536.jpg
It was a beautiful evening! The walk was really nice and we took in the sights and sounds of the Boardwalk. We did not see any entertainment out tonight but the atmosphere was wonderful.

Our plan was to have a drink and a small bite at AbracadaBar. I have never been in here!

Incredible Tricks – Even Better Drinks
Travel back in time to the golden age of magic as you step inside this curious cocktail lounge.

The lounge is dark and mysterious and I got the vibe of a 1920’s cocktail bar.

I will say the seating in here is not the most comfortable. There was a couch area with a small table and a little round stool on the other side. The stool did not have a back and for us, more mature women, none of us wanted to sit there so we all sat on the couch. It was a little hard to visit because we were in a row! It was okay but not ideal.

Here is a picture of us. A nice lady offered to take our picture.
IMG_2024-06-10-183833.jpg
I totally forgot about the signature drink here that I wanted to try. The Hoodunit Punch. I was into the Dirty Martinis this trip so I had that and so did D. H got a Mule of sorts with the Ginger Beer. Our drinks were very good but we all thought the drinks at Ale and Compass are a little better.

Our server was nice except she gave the impression of being harried during our visit.

We decided on The Charcuterie Plate
IMG_2024-06-10-183929.jpg
Calabrese Salami and Prosciutto di Parma with Gouda Reypenar 2 Year V.S.O.P., Brilliant Savarin, Seahive Beehive, Humboldt Fog, and Point Reyes Blue.

We laughed because we didn’t really know what half of the above descriptions were. :confused3

All in this was really good, maybe not enough for the 3 of us. We each had a little taste of each item and really liked it. Consensus was it was delicious and we should have ordered two.

We enjoyed our visit to this lounge, however, it would rate below most all of the lounges I have been to at Disney. Not that it was bad, there are just better ones in my opinion at Disney.

I will rate for you all and let me know what you think.

  1. Nomad Lounge
  2. Baseline Tap House
  3. Bar Riva
  4. Geyser Point
  5. Dahlia
  6. Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar
  7. Ale and Compass
  8. Steakhouse 71
  9. Space 220
  10. Abacadabar
Those are my top 10 so far. Tambu lounge would be 11.

I want to try the one next to Yachtsman steakhouse. Sadly we didn’t make it to this one during our stay. The Crew Club I believe is the name of the lounge.

I want to try the Key Lime Martini 🍸 it sounds divine.

We finished up our snack and drinks and walked back to the YC.

We had some of our sweet treats from the Confectionery before calling it a night.

This was a really nice evening to take in the wonderful Boardwalk area. I think it is a must when you stay at The Epcot resorts.

Stay tuned for a fun Epcot morning!

Great Magic Shots!

Here is the delicious cookie and a blondie type treat with a candy bar on top. I can’t remember what candy bar it was.

These look delicious.

After this none of us wanted to go swimming! We had good intentions to swim several times and spoiler, we never did!

I have every intention of swimming on every trip but rarely do.

Our plan was to have a drink and a small bite at AbracadaBar. I have never been in here!

I've never been to the bar, but did get a quick peek when we ate next door at Trattoria al forno.

Here is a picture of us. A nice lady offered to take our picture.
IMG_2024-06-10-183833.jpg
That was really nice and it's a cute picture.

Ok, first of all I need to get out more and try more of those top 10 lounges :rotfl:
I have been to Crew Cups and we like it there. I liked Abracadabra bar when we visited. Our table in Trattoria wasn’t ready so they told us they’d call us from there when it was. We had the boys with us so they sat on the the stools which might have made the difference. I definitely prefer the Ale & Compass or Baseline over it. Even Martha’s Vineyard is better ( comfier seats) for having some craic with friends but I did enjoy the atmosphere and would go again for a short visit.
The photo of you 3 sisters is lovely. A nice keepsake to have from your visit.

Like this one the best. :)
Here is the delicious cookie and a blondie type treat with a candy bar on top. I can’t remember what candy bar it was.
mmmm... both look amazing.
We also had a Mickey shaped sugar cookie and it was delicious. We had started eating that one before the phone could eat! :rotfl:
That shows just how good it was!
After this none of us wanted to go swimming! We had good intentions to swim several times and spoiler, we never did!
Oh, I get this.
I can't count the number of times I've dutifully packed my swimsuit... only to never wear it.

Wait... that didn't come out right. I didn't go skinny dipping. I never went in the pool.

Wait... that didn't come out right either... I wasn't streaking at the resort...

I never went swimming...

:faint:
Our plan was to have a drink and a small bite at AbracadaBar. I have never been in here!
Nor I... and I've wanted to.
The stool did not have a back and for us, more mature women, none of us wanted to sit there so we all sat on the couch.
Yeah... that's a hard pass for me too. I can sit on a stool for a while, but eventually my back is gonna get sore.
Our server was nice except she gave the impression of being harried during our visit.
Not good. If my server acts that way, then I'm going to feel uncomfortable.
We decided on The Charcuterie Plate
Looks good.
We laughed because we didn’t really know what half of the above descriptions were. :confused3
 Neither do I!
We enjoyed our visit to this lounge, however, it would rate below most all of the lounges I have been to at Disney. Not that it was bad, there are just better ones in my opinion at Disney.
That's unfortunate.
I will rate for you all and let me know what you think.

  1. Nomad Lounge
  2. Baseline Tap House
  3. Bar Riva
  4. Geyser Point
  5. Dahlia
  6. Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar
  7. Ale and Compass
  8. Steakhouse 71
  9. Space 220
  10. Abacadabar
I haven't been to many of those... well 4 out of 10. I've dined in Space 220 but didn't visit the lounge.
Those are my top 10 so far. Tambu lounge would be 11.
:scared:
I want to try the Key Lime Martini 🍸 it sounds divine.
That does!

I know this pool area is awesome but we never felt like swimming so we never did enjoy that beautiful pool.
It takes a lot of work to go swimming. You have to change clothes, drag your stuff to the pool, swim or not swim, then head back to the room, take a shower, rinse out the suit, etc. It takes a lot of time, too. :)
We enjoyed our visit to this lounge, however, it would rate below most all of the lounges I have been to at Disney. Not that it was bad, there are just better ones in my opinion at Disney.
I don't understand the love for this lounge. It is small and dark and noisy and has bad seating. We aren't big lounge people. But our number one favorite is Geyser Point. We also like Territory Lounge, Crews Cup, and Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar. We like the pool bar at POR and Hurricane Hanna's at SAB.

Those are my top 10 so far. Tambu lounge would be 11.
Hey Everyone, some of you have reminded me of a few other favorites that would knock the Abracadabar even further down!
Territory Lounge at WL is above that for sure! The servers here are wonderful and the bartenders make an excellent drink!
I have only been to Trader SAMs once because of the ridiculously small lounge and ability to get in the place, ugh 😣 but it was fun and above the Abracadabar most definitely!
I have not been to BD lounge in DHS or Prime tune lounge in DHS. I hear both of these are a good choice as well.
Let me know if I missed any of your favorites!
I could talk about lounges all day, :rotfl: :drinking1

Another visit to Abracadabar may be needed so you can try the Hoodunit’s Punch.
And that Key Lime Pie Martini from the bar by Yachtsman’s, another one to definitely try.
I’m interested to see if you enjoy them both as much as I did.

I’m loving your report

Noreen

OK so I caught up again. It's been so crazy for me and I think I only have 2 more weeks of it. Can't multi quote, but I remember finding Abracadabar not nearly as astounding as we had hoped.

I haven't visited enough Lounges (yet) to rate them, but might be able to after a few more trips with Jill. I think we might be more likely to visit the Lounges than Fran and I did.

Great Magic Shots!
:thanks: I’m glad we got a few magic shots!
These look delicious.
Everything was very good, the sugar cookie and the chocolate Mickey cookie were the best
I have every intention of swimming on every trip but rarely do.
Sounds just like me! The older I get the less fun it is, mostly the getting ready to do it! :rotfl:
I've never been to the bar, but did get a quick peek when we ate next door at Trattoria al forno.
It was fine, so many better lounges out there!
That was really nice and it's a cute picture.
A little dark but it is way better than a selfie I would have done! 😆
Ok, first of all I need to get out more and try more of those top 10 lounges
Yes you do, haha 😆 Try some more on your next trip!

Thank you! I agree with you on Ale&Compass and Baseline!
Dahlia lounge is ok but it can get CROWDED!!! The outside seating area is beautiful though.
I love Dahlia, the vibe and atmosphere are right up my alley!

Love your lounge list! Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge is a hidden gem in our opinion. Worth a look next time you're looking!
Thank you so much! We love trying the lounges at Disney! I have been twice to TL and really enjoyed it. The staff were awesome and made some good drinks. The downfall, very crowded the couple times we went!

Like this one the best. :)
Awww Thank you, I love the balloon picture and we rarely get this one!
mmmm... both look amazing.
The cookies were the best of the 3 highly recommend
Oh, I get this.

Haha😆 Now I know you didn’t want to get escorted out by security! Swimsuit required Pkondz! :rotfl:
Nor I... and I've wanted to.
It is a cool little lounge just not a favorite
Yeah... that's a hard pass for me too. I can sit on a stool for a while, but eventually my back is gonna get sore.
Ugh same. My back starts to get sore and these were the smallest little stools ever!
Not good. If my server acts that way, then I'm going to feel uncomfortable.
I’m sure she was busy but our server at Ale&Compass was busy and she was awesome
Looks good.
It was really good for a little charcuterie board with items I had no idea what they were :rotfl:
I haven't been to many of those... well 4 out of 10. I've dined in Space 220 but didn't visit the lounge.
I really liked the Space 220 lounge. Now that Andi is an adult lounges are a priority to her! :rotfl:
It takes a lot of work to go swimming. You have to change clothes, drag your stuff to the pool, swim or not swim, then head back to the room, take a shower, rinse out the suit, etc. It takes a lot of time, too.
Sue, you said this just perfect and exactly what I was thinking! Thank you! 😊
I agree with you on all of the above. Andi visited the pool bar at FQ and had a really good drink a few years ago! We also like Hurricane Hanna’s good drinks there as well!

Another visit to Abracadabar may be needed so you can try the Hoodunit’s Punch.
And that Key Lime Pie Martini from the bar by Yachtsman’s, another one to definitely try.
I’m interested to see if you enjoy them both as much as I did.

Hi Noreen!
I think we will try it again in September since we will be staying at BWI. I want to get the Hoodunit punch! You have given me isome good ideas for drinks after reading all your dining reports! Thank you for that and for reading along!
OK so I caught up again. It's been so crazy for me and I think I only have 2 more weeks of it. Can't multi quote, but I remember finding Abracadabar not nearly as astounding as we had hoped.
Hi Alison, man I want your life, haha! Love all the travel you have been doing! Looks and sounds amazing! The food on your trips is always a highlight for me!
I haven't visited enough Lounges (yet) to rate them, but might be able to after a few more trips with Jill. I think we might be more likely to visit the Lounges than Fran and I did.
Definitely do it! The lounges are a great way to explore the light bites and different cocktails!

no one.

Hi Alison, man I want your life, haha! Love all the travel you have been doing!

Well, you don't really want my life because it means you don't have your partner anymore, at least for my travels. She couldn't live without me cause I had to do basic things like out her shoes on in the morning. It's bittersweet that I'm getting to do all this.

She spent all her time fineagling all these airplane miles, so I'm just trying to use them up before they figure out she's gone! 😂

Looks and sounds amazing! The food on your trips is always a highlight for me!

Thanks! I'm just trying to eat as good as I can. Luckily I taught myself to cook early in life so I generally eat well.

Definitely do it! The lounges are a great way to explore the light bites and different cocktails!

Yes! I'm looking forward to trying out the Lounges more. Fran was very opposed to drinking cause her father was a raging alcoholic, but traveling with Jill I think we can do more casual dining in the Lounges as opposed to having dinner reservations at the restaurants.
