Your first day in the parks is the same as my last day.... Epcot.... I do believe Melissa is there that day as well, maybe some others too

If you are leaving on the 31st and will be at epcot, maybe we can all go Soarin' early that mornin' . Let me know. Faindrops, are we on somewhat of the same schedule? I posted that because you wanted to see my schedule. (My subject to change schedule).

This sounds great. My most adult beverage would be a regular soda instead of a diet soda but they can put a cherry in it. If I get a mixed drink, it is usually a virgin something or other .

Yes indeed I am there, on the 31st!! Let me just tell you something StepDisney. This meeting is the first I ever tried, to attend. This is so unlike me. Because, I am usually shy with meeting new people. But, after I know you. I am easy going!! I however, am reserved to the fact that I will push through my shyness, and meet some of the most wonderful people this side of the earth!!

I'm chatty but self conscious. My chattyness is usually a direct result of being nervous about meeting new people. It usually makes things easier for everyone else. I'm usually the one in charge of ice breakers at showers and fellowships. I guess you can say I push through my shyness by chatting. I'm a brief chatter though. I have a lot of energy so I usually chat and run. My husband is very quiet and will not want to meet for a long time. Don't mistake his quietness, he would consider a meet a very "girly" thing and would just be uncomfortable "chatting" . Don't worry, I'm sure we all want to meet and put faces to the nice people we have come to talk to daily but there is a bit of nervousness attached to placing faces with words. It's easy for those of us who know how to post pictures and have done so, but I haven't done so yet...... Gotta go now and start my diet (just kidding) I've never been to a meet like this before either but I think of it like "back to school" or "meet the parents" night at the schools each year. You get a short period of time to say hello and attach faces to the people you will intereact with all year long.

I agree, faindrops!I think it should got the same way. We meet, we ride, we go on our way! But if you want to follow me feel free. I must warn you all, I walk pretty darn fast!!!!!!!!

You sound like me. My DH calls me commander because I walk pretty darn fast myself. Because we all usually have the park mapped out for the day, it would be impossible for us to follow each other around but it will be nice to have someone to wave to once in a while if we pass each other again.

That is our R&R day, and we have planned to go fishing in the morning and then rent the sea racycer at our resort. So I am hoping to get shower, dressed and head to MK to ride with everyone if time allows.
? for you, did I read it right that you were in WDW this same time last year?

hey gals, My family and I are going to be there on 8/27th, we're going from NY and don't get to Orlando till like 11:00 am.....we are plannig to hit MGM that afternoon.....and watch Fantasmic's second show that night since it has 2 shows on that Monday....It would be cool to see other DISers, but I'm new to this and it is the first time we are taking myt nieces, one becomes 16 today 8/1 and the other one is 14, also friends mom is 74 and never been there b4....so We have a lot to show in just a couple of days, but would love to say Hi to other DISer's ...
PS : we are stayin at ASMO.... counting days can't wait!

I have no idea how meets are supposed to go, as I have never been or done one. But, in my mind. I am thinking it will go just like when my friends and I have book club. Just a nice time together, but in our case chatting briefly about our love Disney.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you. I just want to be honest with everyone about who I am.

I am the same way! Plus, I will be with my mother and sister. They have never been and I don't want to have to worry about meeting other people when we could be doing something else. (Please don't take that the wrong way.) I am hoping to meet at Splash. If we make any of the meets that will be the most likely. However, I'm not sure if we will ride. If we are able to make it, we will meet everyone there, say hi and be on our way.

BTW - where, exactly, are we going to meet at Splash? I would hate to get there and miss everyone.

Having it planned this way makes it so much easier for everyone I think, no awkward moments after the ride has ended where everyone wonders if it is ok to leave or what we should be doing next

I did see you, I(me, the boys,mom, and dad) and Shhhq, will be at Epcot on the 31st!! So, the ride on Soarin in the morning sounds great to me!! We should head there first, at park opening for the lines are horrendous, as the day progresses, what do you think??

I cannot believe we will be there this month!! I have yet to decorate my t-shirts. I feel I am so far behind. I think after I read the boards for one more hour. I will get the kids to help me, make them! Since I am off today. It should be pretty easy! Maybe, I will dust off the luggage. I have lime green luggage, but it has gotten pretty darn scruffy looking, with only 2 trips to the airport, do you know how to get it clean. I am thinking. I may get my scrub brush, and scrub, the outside of it, with some pine sole, of lysol. Any other ideas??

Since I have gotten older(34, about to be 35I will celebrate my birthday in Disney!!)I have gotten over, fitting in societies perfect size mold. I think everyone is beautiful, in his or her own way. I know I am a good person, inside, and out. So, I am ok with myself, fluffiness and all!!

I was thinking about the searaycers too! But, I don't know where it would fit in my schedule. What does the voucher include, I have yet to look at it. Is it good for our whole party? Or is it just for 2. If they are transferrable. I could give mine away. As I don't think I will use it. Especially with Justin along. I think I may go to Planet Hollywood, though.

Last year. Yes I was there!! It was the best!! But, more or less in the middle of Sept. I took my son Xavier out of school, for 11 days. Wrong move on my part. It took him so long to catch up, and it followed him through the whole school year. He could not miss another day, or he would have to repeat the school year. So, I decided to go in August, this year, as it will not interfere with his, or Justin' schooling. They start school after we come back!!

Ok, I totally understand about meeting, and moving right along.
Where to meet, hmmm Should we meet right at the ride entrance or, to the right down the steps by the fast pass machine, that place is always so crowded. Give me some ideas ladies.

Please remember everyone who is meeting this day, please, please, please, get fast passes, around 12p.m. So, we can just get in the fast pass line to ride, at 2p.m.. This will eliminate us all waiting an hour or more to ride!! Thanks everyone!!

Great, I am so happy. I am not alone. I can chat, chat, chat, here, but I am a lil shy. But, at least we all know about one another!

Pam, thanks for coming up with the meet, ride, and move right along. This is terrific!! No ackward moments at all. Just pure sheer fun, at the Happiest place on Earth!! Tracie, I am so excited right now. I just cannot believe we are down to just a few short weeks.

I may be able to make the one on the 31st at Epcot. I need to rearrange a few days since Teppanyaki won't be open when we get there now. So I don't really need 3 days for Epcot. I had everything all planned out now it's all a mess!

10:00 a.m. EST. Yesterday was Disney Paris (which is a lot like Disney here) and Monday was AK. Today was the behind the scenes. I am so goofy I check the schedule all day to see when there will be a Disney feature. I sometimes check for the entire week. (shhhh, our little secret).

By the way, the hokey pokey is my favorite dance .
