Just returned from an 8 day Dover-Barcelona Cruise and wanted to let the world know that we had the time of our lives! I could not fault anything! From the minute we stepped inside the Cruise Terminal in Dover myself and my neice were treated like a couple of princesses! We were on board in about 15 minutes of our arrival and my neice was in the pool within half an hour of our arrival! There was an unlimited amount of drink - tea, coffee, coke and water at no cost as well as ice on tap - all available 24 hours! One of the machines wasn't working on one day but true to Disney form the staff were there with a trolley full of ice making sure that we weren't inconvenienced! Oh and don't bother packing towels as they were also available around the pool. Our room was spotless and was cleaned in the morning and then again in the evening our beds would be turned down with some crazy animal made from towels waiting for us along with chocolates! My neice, who is has just turned ten, loved the personal navigator that was waiting for us every evening as this told her everything that was on in her clubs and onboard and she laid in bed circling her itinery for the next day - if you are taking kids then take a couple of different coloured highlighters so you know which child wants to do what! But don't worry they are fully supervised and it will leave you time to relax in the Spa or by the pool. Despite the size of the ship everything was pretty central and we had a system whereby she went off to a club or activity and then we would meet at the pool or the room at a certain time to check in on each other! The staff were incredible and the performers in the shows in the Walt Disney Theatre were amazing! If your cruise includes Gibraltar then definitely book yourself onto the Dolphin World trip as it was A M A Z I N G! The characters appeared throughout the day and were there for photos and autographs and on one occasion when I was in line with my neice waiting for Mickey and Minnie there was a family with two small children one a baby and one a toddler and Mickey had the baby on his knee so they could have their picture taken and his big hands were playing with the babies toes!!!! Oh so cute! I could write so much more but I think you get the idea! We are already saving for next year and if you are due to go on a cruise soon then you are about to have the time of your life!!!! Thank you Disney Cruise Line.

Glad you had a good time. I was on this cruise too and even though it wasn't my first Disney cruise, it still feels like the 1st!

Your post may get moved into the chatty section as opposed to here on cruise reports, so don't worry if it's gone! :)

Did you book another one onboard for a 10-20% discount?

Hi

Obviously the magic doesn't dissipate! Didn't book another as I have just gone self-employed and whilst I am sure we will be on board next year - or sooner if we can - I will have to save the pennies! Mortgage comes before the Magic unfortunately! Good incentive to knuckle down to work especially as the weather has been awful! Looks like you are a veteran!
