We're BAAAAAAACK! Executive summary (loooooong trip report later to be sure--you'll have to check the trip report section):
I'll be glad to answer questions...
PERFECT weather. Absolutely wonderful. 70's day/50's night. sunny.
Low crowds. Walked on most rides. Longest wait probably 20 minutes. Hardly used FASTPASS (maybe once just to try it out!)
Magical time. WISHES was the best attraction for me. It was better the night we saw it w/MVMCP 12/9--the fireworks surrounded us at the end AND we saw Tinkerbell. The second night we saw neither of those things (it had sprinkled a little, maybe that's why no Tink). But it was still magical
I had breakfast with the princesses in the Castle!!! Cinderella is my favorite (see avatar). I embarrassed myself by crying (well, you know, teary-eyed--not bawling for heaven's sake!
) when she came to our table. My kids told her how she was my favorite. She smiled at me and said, "I am glad to be a part of making your dreams come true." Oh! made my day. I was like a little girl again.
Sorry I missed the MVMCP meet. I really wanted to as did DD, but we were too far away enjoying rides during the first parade (caught the second) and weren't really sure when it ended. As we drew neared to Casey's Corner, we saw a DIS shirt---we ran! By the time we got there, DIS shirt was gone and we could find no other DISers. I had my DIS button on...I must have gotten there too late. I didn't run into many DISers, probably because we did NOT do EE since we stayed at HIFS.
HIFS was wonderful, especially for the price. Would definitely stay there again.
Cruise was wonderful. Again great weather (until the last night--lots of rolling. Probably 45 to 50 mph winds--no one was allowed on the front deck).
Lots more to tell. It will have to wait for a trip report. I'm crawling out of 6 loads of laundry, restocking run to the grocery, etc. DH got sick at 3AM last night and hasn't gotten out of bed today. (great timing...).
I am so happy. The magic of Disney is alive and well!
