Day 7
Hometime
We were up about 9am today, the plan had us packing and then heading to AK but we were SO tired we didn't really feel like hours of walking around so we decided to pack and then get the bus over to TL.
We packed up all of our things and called bell services to help us with our bags. We then went to wait for a bus. We waited, and waited, and waited. Apparently a bus had gone awol somewhere. Finally a bus arrived 45 mins after we got to the bus stop... GRRR! We were already going to be in a bit of a rush as we were heading to the airport later, so we REALLY could have done without that wait. Then it was what seemed like the longest bus journey ever to get there
But we did eventually get there. We headed to the changing rooms to change into our swimming gear and then found some loungers. Lounger found and stuff dumped we head to crush and gusher. We ride 2 of them before heading for a dip in the wave pool. After some fun in the waves we go to the lazy river for some relaxing fun.

We went round once and then decided we needed some food. I grabbed some chicken nuggets and Jen got some fish fingers, we found a table and sat eating them. We had kinda dried off by this point and we decided we didn't want to get wet again, plus we were worried about how long the bus trip was going to take back to AKL so we decided to make our way out. As luck would have it we only had to wait for a few mintues before a bus arrived for us and we were soon back at AKL with lots of time to spare. We still had on our swimming things so we used the pool at AKL for a while before getting showers and changing into our travel clothes
Our Magical express was there to pick us up about 15 mins later than planned and we were some of the first to get on board, I didn't realise this would be a curse as we had a few other resort pick ups then, and we were already running later than planned :S I was starting to get a bit hot under the collar on the way to the airport when we started to hit traffic... When we did finally arrive we had 2 hours before out flight - we were supposed to be there 3 hours before, especially with the scooter as it takes a lot longer to check in.

We then head over to . Wow, that was an experience. The queue was horrific! The dreams of looking through duty free were slowly slipping away from us

We did make it through in about half an hour though so it wasn't too bad. Once airside we grabbed something to eat, no Outback on this side unfortunately - counter service only. I grabbed a slice of pizza and Jen grabbed a Burger King. We both grabbed something else to take on the flight with us in preparation for the hideous plane food.
Our plane was on time and we were SO lucky in that we ended up with a set of 4 seats to the 2 of us! I let Jen use the 3 seats so she could sleep and I stayed in my 1 seat. She was being nice and babysitting over night as an emergency for her friend the day we got home so she needed all the sleep she could get.

We were soon changing planes in Dublin, we had the longest wait ever though when we were so tired. This part just put me off even more of indirect flights. We grabbed a seat in a window with the sun shining on us, it was almost like still being in Florida*
*not really
Eventually it was time to board our last flight and head home to London Gatwick. Sy was there to greet us once we were home - it was a teary reunion! We dropped Jen home and then stopped to say hello to my parents, we didn't stay long though as I was struggling to keep my eyes open.
When we did get home I arrived to these beauties.

I think I might have been missed LOL and not just by Simon...

Yes I did get in bed when I got home for a little nap haha
