The LUCKY Muffin Spoke to Me - Halloween at WDW & Summer 2011 at DLR - 01/09/11

I'm not completely sure, but I think I've read on some people's TRs that Remy doesn't always make an appearance at Le Chefs. So I'm thinking, is it worth going there and maybe not even getting to see him? Maybe I'm biased just because I think the F&W food sounds amazing, though! :lovestruc

I just feel like you can go to Le Chefs any trip, but being there during the F&W Festival is special and something you might not get to do again for a while. But I also understand completely that you really wanted to see Remy!

That is so great that you get to do some DIS meets! Hopefully someday you and I can meet in person! I hope I hope! :goodvibes

He is supposed to be there on certain days of the week at specific times, so I made sure that we'd scheduled around that. He was technically a temporary show, but they extended him because he became so popular.

We will meet! I've already decided that you need to start saving for when I graduate from law school; Brad and I want to do a WDW cruise! It'd be so much fun with another couple!

BTW, your green light is on! Sign on to G-Chat! :lovestruc

Booths are open at 11, when World Showcase opens. You could always keep the ADR and see how you feel that day. Just swing by Chefs around noon and cancel it if you want.

Good idea; thanks for the suggestion! (If I know Brad, he'll be full by noon since they open at 11am.)

Hmmm, that's a tough one. I would see how the first day of browsing the booths go. If you feel like you've tried all you want to, then you can still make you ADR. If you've still got things left over, cancel the ADR (like someone else suggested). But I would definitely keep it until you actually get there. Also, I don't know how long Remy is planning on staying at Chefs, so that might be something to think about too. F&W comes around every year, but Remy might not. :confused3

Unfortunately, our ADR is on the day before our full day at Epcot. I might look in to switching it for that reason, though!

Have you had a chance to look at the menus yet for all the booths at the F&W Fest? This site has the menu options, as well as photos of some of the items, so maybe you can make a list of all the things that sound good to you. You'll also be there a couple weeks after the festival has started, so if you check the boards there is always a post of pictures and reviews of all the food from the booths. Maybe once you know how many things you want to try, you can decide if you'll be able to fit it into one or two days.

Hi Heather,

I'm finally catching up now that Joe's surgery is over and he is nearly recovered.

First, I love your plans so far. Great job! :thumbsup2

Awesome Christmas trees too. Hmm, I like the Steeler's tree...wonder why that is? :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Hope to catch up with you on FB chat one of these days......

Sophia

I'm kind of in the same situation as you, the first night we are going to Epcot I didn't bother making an ADR because I'm planning on just snacking at the booths all night! But the 2nd day, I have an ADR at Chef's and I keep wondering if I should cancel it...but I'm not going to see Remy like you are, I just want to eat there! :rotfl:

I'd say just keep the ADR and make the decision that day! :)

I sent a PM with my info.

If I'm still in Florida when you're here, I'd like to meet up to. I've done a few DIS meets and I've had fun at everyone. Love the color-themed trees. The Rockettes oranament and the of course the Disney ones are my favorites.

As far as F&W goes, I would say just stick to the booths. If all goes well, my boyfriend will be coming to visit and we may do 2 days at the booths and a whole separate visit with my dad.

That's a tough decision... I've been dying to try F&W festival, so that what I'd do.
But Remy is a pretty enticing rat...

If you want to do Epcot with us one day we'll "use the bathroom" with you guys at Chefs :rolleyes1

I told you we want to meet Remy but don't want to eat there!

ETA: although you could just keep the ressie and get only drinks/dessert....

I went over this with DH today! Lots of drooling and chin cleaning going on. :lmao:

Hii!

I'm glad he is doing well!!

Haha; if you didn't like the Steelers tree, DH would probably make me delete my DIS account in pure shame. :lmao:

You need to create a G-Mail account, missy!!

I really enjoyed dinner there last year, so that's why I'm equally stumped. WDW involves too many decisions!!

I added you on FB and sent a chat invite!!

I know! What is with WDW making us fall in love with house rodents - mice, rats, etc.? It's not normal.

If you want to do Epcot with us one day we'll "use the bathroom" with you guys at Chefs :rolleyes1

Haha. I can break out a sweet, southern accent, bat my eye lashes, and beg really hard to use the potty. :rotfl: I'm not ashamed to do a potty dance, either.

:rotfl2: I OWN the potty dance! :rotfl2: That being said, after 4 years, I bet the Tag Fairy finds me NOW! :lmao: You would not believe how many places have let me use their "employees only" restrooms....:rolleyes1

Honestly, I hate to say it, but I'm almost positive that if you try the pee dance at Chefs, they'll just send you to Morocco, since that's the closest bathroom.

:duck:

Haha; been there, done that too! That would be too funny if you actually got tagged with that, though!

Oh I know, unfortunately. :rotfl:

I'd have to agree w/ others...ditch the ADR and spend more time at the booths. We did that in 2008 and LOVED it. There is so much good food there, you won't miss your ADR. Nothing beats eating your way around the F&W! :thumbsup2

I'm here! Was there on your last PTR. Hope things are going well (good?) for you! Now I have to go back & read after I type up an assessment form for work!

Thanks for the tips!

Welcome to my new PTR!! I have vowed to actually complete this one! :thumbsup2

I just subbied to your PTR and will have to get caught up!

I have some fun news that I'd like to turn in to a game to pass a little WDW-waiting time!

I'll post pictures as hints until someone can put all of the clues together to figure out the entire news! Please do not edit your posts; just one guess per person, per hint. The Fairy Godmother might just send a special surprise to the winner for playing along with my (beyond excited) antics!

(Btw, JONI - you can't play since you would get this right off the bat because we talked about it over the weekend! :lovestruc)

Finally caught up again! Boy, just a little work and I am pages behind! ;) :lmao:

Love the Christmas trees, can I please join your club - I LOVE Christmas too, even though I only have one (but real) tree. ;)
But I LOVE my Christmas countdown calendar!!!

I actually can't even see what it is... Can you maybe PM me a larger version of the photo?

I'm going to see if I can find one that is a bit more clear!

Haha; welcome back, again! :goodvibes

My parents have the one real tree every year! I want to have at least one real one once we get our own place, but didn't want to have anything real in our apartment. I love the real trees though; it's not Christmas without the pine scent in the house!
