The LUCKY Muffin Spoke to Me - Halloween at WDW & Summer 2011 at DLR - 01/09/11

I'm late joining...better late than never. Your plans look great. Love your Disney tree! Can't wait to see pictures of the ornaments you bought. I got sucked into the "Mickey's Christmas Carol" collection last year. It took me FOREVER to find one last year. I can't wait to get the Ebeneezer Scrooge one this year.

Hey Heather - Plans look great! Can't wait for OCTOBER!!!!

I love the trees, obviously I am partial to the Disney tree!

That is some intense Christmas celebration! I love it!

We only have one measly tree, but it sure does have a lot of Disney ornaments!
Looking forward to seeing the new Disney ones you picked up.

OMG I love all the pictures of the Christmas trees! I love the Disney tree! Especially that castle topper, did you get that at Disney? :cool1: I love Christmas ornaments soooo much, and I love Disney ornaments even more! I don't have enough to fill a big tree yet, but I'm hoping I will soon! Right now I might be able to fill a small tree, which I might try to do this year! :)

your plans are great i wish i could spend a week in the world but school will not let me but its better than no time at all!..lol...I absolutely love that dsiney tree..If i could just print it out blow it up and put in my house i would!!!!!

Wow, apparently I forgot to subscribe! I love your trees! :lovestruc Also, your itinerary looks awesome :) We'll have to see if we run into each other at one of the parties :lmao:

:rotfl: All my friends used to think my family was nuts for having 2 trees! I had two here, a little one in a window, and the bigger one. The bigger one isn't supposed to be a Disney tree, but most of my ornaments are Disney! My Mom has a Christmas countdown (with Mickey & Minnie, obviously!) that she changes the cube everyday to reflect the new number of days til Christmas! Her favorite thing to do on December 26 is say, "Only 364 more days until Christmas!"

I have a Mickey countdown like that! He's on the mantle in the Disney tree pictures.

I hadn't planned on just having a Disney tree either; woops! Haha

You know I love me some Disney ornaments and everything Christmas.

Great plans!! I would LOVE to see pictures of your Disney ornaments!! We are such ornament collectors here!
I have my fingers crossed that your flight won't change again-- I HATE when that happens!!

I'm going to take some pictures to post soon; it was a really, really busy week!

AHH! I love all your trees!! The pink/Victorian one is sooo cute.

Also love the "hidden" mickeys on each tree.

I'm planning on buying an ornament or two at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in MK or at Disney's Days of Christmas if we go to DTD after Epcot...which I am planning on! Just looked up that the stores close around 11. So, we could probably go over there after Illuminations for an hourish or maybe just skip it since we saw it in March! Then we could maybe meet up if you're not having too much fun at SSR!

I don't know which store has a better collection, but I've heard great things about Disney's Days!

Definitely let me know if you go to DTD!! We're just a short walk away!

Your plans look great! I like that you've included a lot of AKL exploration time - I really regret not doing more of that when we were there in January. :guilty:

Oh my goodness, I can totally relate to the Christmas decor! I go crazy over it! For about five years I did a different theme and bought all new ornaments, decor, everything each time. :scared1: It was fun but pretty pricey! Now I have a set theme that I do every year that matches the rooms in my house that the trees go in. :thumbsup2 But the amount of Christmas decor boxes I've accumulated for someone my age is scary! :lmao:

I can't wait to see your new ornaments!

We normally don't spend a ton of time at the resorts, but I know I'd regret it if we didn't plan in a lot of resort time this trip.

I'm such a Christmas nut; I think we'll have to buy a house to fit our trees, not the other way around. Haha.

I am buying the same series, too. I mayyyy have gotten Scrooge when I went way overboard last weekend. :goodvibes

Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet???

I'm totally obsessed with Halloween and Christmas. I can't wait until we have a house to decorate for both holidays!

I actually found it on Ebay. I honestly have no idea what is supposed to be or where it came from. The thing actually opens in the middle like a doll house, so I'm thinking it had some little Mickey and friends pieces to play with. But, I figured a way to attach it to the tree and stick some lights in it, so voila!

Haha; you can make a life-size print of my tree. I'd be honored. :rotfl:

Definitely! I think we'll be at MK on one of the same days, too!

:lovestruc I LOVE your Christmas trees!! :lovestruc They are so beautiful! I want to have an all Disney tree one of these days.

Cute Christmas Trees! I need to start my own Disney ornament collection now that we have our own place! Maybe we'll swing by the Christmas shop in DTD while we're there.

BTW, I just looked at your Christmas Cake pics on FB! AMAZING!!!!!!!! You have just given me a whole new perspective on what my cake could look like!! OMG I'm even more excited now than I was before!

They have some great ornaments there! They are actually a bit more affordable than the Hallmark ornaments, too!

Brian did a great job! I just told him what theme I wanted and he ran with it. I was really impressed, especially for the price! I'd love to help you with ideas if you'd like any help!

I feel like Pooh Bear - "think, think, think!"

I am hoping for opinions, pah-lease!

I know we just booked our Le Chefs ADR just to see Remy, but now I've been drooling, er..reading...the F&W Festival menus and am wondering if I should cancel the ADR to spend more time at the booths. If you don't remember our exact schedule, we currently have one day to experience the booths; we'll be there for lunch, leave for a break to go back to SSR/meet a DIS friend for a bit, and then go back to Epcot for dinner at the booths. (That going back to Epcot was a big if, too. We were thinking about just going back to the resort to explore at night since that will be our first day at SSR; it looks beautiful in the pictures that I've seen!) Our other day at Epcot is a half day; we'll be there for AM EMH to ride any rides that we want to ride, and then currently have the Chefs ADR; we'll leave right after the ADR to go back to the resort to get ready for MNSSHP.

Thoughts? Opinions? I'm still really wanting to see Remy, but I also don't want to feel like we miss out on the F&W booths.

Oh, and I just updated my post with our details!

Ali (Simba22) and I have worked out a couple of times to meet up! I'm so excited!! I get to see a DIS friend that I met last time again, and meet a new one! There are a few others that I know will be there at the same time, so we'll have to see if any we run in to any of them, too. But, there are definite plans for at least two meet-ups!

It's been recommended to me that I not bother with ADR's on my Epcot day because of the F&W festival. I honestly don't know how much snacking I'll be doing at the booths, and I think I'd rather just grab quick service if I get hungry late in the evening. Are you guys getting park hoppers? Maybe you could reschedule your Chefs ADR for another time during your visit, if it works out better that way? I'd just be worried about having the ADR and not being hungry at all when it comes time to go, you know?

We aren't doing park hoppers this time around; it worked out where we didn't need them, somehow.

Right now, we just wouldn't go near the booths on the day that we have our ADR at Chefs. Our ADR is at noon though; do the booths open earlier than that? If they do, I think I might have to drag DH away from them or he won't eat at Chefs.

I honestly don't know what time they open :confused3 I've never done the festival before :lmao: I'm sure you guys will figure it out, though. And by the time we go, I'm sure that someone will have posted the schedule and everything, so I bet those of us going later in the month will have a better idea of how the days go. I only have one day at Epcot unless I decide to hop over, so I decided to just say screw it in regards to ADRs. The only one I really wanted was Le Cellier, and it's not available, so... Yeah. :teeth: I can get the soup at the Canada booth anyway :)

You think Chefs would buy that I really, really need to use their restroom (although there are others all over World Showcase) at the time that Remy comes out? :thumbsup2

I'm not completely sure, but I think I've read on some people's TRs that Remy doesn't always make an appearance at Le Chefs. So I'm thinking, is it worth going there and maybe not even getting to see him? Maybe I'm biased just because I think the F&W food sounds amazing, though! :lovestruc

I just feel like you can go to Le Chefs any trip, but being there during the F&W Festival is special and something you might not get to do again for a while. But I also understand completely that you really wanted to see Remy!

That is so great that you get to do some DIS meets! Hopefully someday you and I can meet in person! I hope I hope! :goodvibes

Booths are open at 11, when World Showcase opens. You could always keep the ADR and see how you feel that day. Just swing by Chefs around noon and cancel it if you want.
