Interestingly, many of the PROPS from that film are still seen in the "prop room" queue (for the tour-trams) that you will enter following the Water Tank portion of the current version of the attraction.
That prop room also has many artifacts from other now-closed WDW attractions, Epcot's defunct World of Motion, in particular.
Wow. Thats a flashback. Hadn't even thought of that movie for ages. Wasn't it shown when you walked through the enclosed catwalk area overlooking the sets? Or am I mixing up my tours.

Long gone, but it was one of the better parts of the back lot tour. You watched the movie, then saw some of the props and techniques used to make the film.
1990. I remember driving in to the parking lot on the Southside of the park back then. You could see the props in the back stage tour through the fence line.
I remember that tour used to take you into a viewing area of current productions. My sister was a huge fan of the Mickey Mouse Club. She remembers clearly looking down from the glass window to see Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake dancing. I wasn't a fan so I can't recall the specific people, but she still talks about it.
MGM (at that time) was smaller but very interesting. I remember taking the baclot tour and Herbie the love bug was doing a wheel stand and the tires smoking when we drove by
Interesting to see how little of that 1990 map is actually labeled Theme Park vs the Production Facilities. Despite the production never really taking off, it was nice to do the tour and actually see things being filmed, as well as attending a Mickey Mouse Club show taping.
