Do you know if they have an age requirement for these projects? And are the projects listed on their website?
The closest one to us is about 30 mins. away & don't want to drive all the way there and find out that #2DS is too little or not a project any of them want to do.

Morning Losers.

I stayed up too late in chat last night with Kate and Mary. They did give me excellent council on a problem I could forsee.

Katie didn't want to drag her skinny behind out of bed this morning. It took me yelling at her, and a Little Mermaid/ Aristocats combination playing to lure her downstairs.

I am currently fighting with RiffTrax to get a download I payed for to work. (RiffTrax makes sarcastic comments to play on your iPod along with dvds while you watch a movie. Made by some of the guys who did Mystery Science Theater 3000, if anyone remembers that.) The one for X-Men keeps downloading but when I go to unzip, computer tells me there's nothing in it.

I need caffiene and a shower. But my bathroom smells of Axe bodyspray and I don't know why.

I have seen kids that young there. I agree with HRH, call your local Lowe's and see what they say. Usually I have had to "help" my 2 build whatever it is but it's the outing & experience that I look at. There is plenty for them to help/do. I think it depends on the child too. My 2 LOVE going and wearing the cute little aprons and getting pins for them after they complete their projects! And for what it's worth, I think a 4th/5th grader may feel like it's too babyish for them

Yeah, the lounge was juking last night! My internet decided to blink out and then I forgot to go back in.

Yes, I am here. I'm out of bed. I jumped out of bed to catch the early morning news, but our local channel didn't even cover it!!

The meeting wasn't in DC, it was in Annapolis (state capital). It didn't go very well, apparently. It was looooooooooong. A lot of watermen gave their thoughts, their examples, their suggestions, their complaints, and basically they seemed to get the brush off, because every time a waterman suggested something, the gov. would say, no that won't work because....

So the watermen felt like even though they got to talk, the gov wasn't interested in what they were actually saying.

I know that DS went just this winter at age 10 and there were several his age and all the way down to preschoolers. You just have to help the little ones more. They will not turn anyone away, AFAIK.

Its freaking SNOWING here! And I just saw a weather report that it is supposed to be 80 on Wed. What the heck. DD has a band competition tonight at 8:00pm and then is off to a retreat for confirmation tomorrow. Would it be bad if I just said she wasn't gonna go? The rest of the group (except her and 1 boy) are going tonight and DH or I will have to take here there tomorrow. It's about an hour away and she doesn't want to carpool with the boy (I think he's going later tomorrow anyway) All but 2-3 kids in her class are goin but I just don't want to drive there and back. It's not even like there's something to do on the way home. DS assked for a sleepover tonight, too. I hate those. DOn't know why--his friend is a good kid--jusst don't like sleepovers. Anyone else or am I the only one? Seems like kids do it every weekend around here .

Sorry to hear about the news from the march last night. Sounds like the officials are just being bullies (what's new, right?)

The lounge was juking last night? Man, I always miss the good stuff. I 'may' be around there tonight, but a lot of that depends upon DH and DD...they are rarely cooperative when it comes to MY time!

Laundry is the order of the day today. DD is engrossed in the Nick Jr. Cowboy roundup and it is rainy/slushy/snowy outside, so we aren't going anywhere anyway!

On the upside, my order from Disneyshopping.com is due to be delivered today!
