I am still thinking of buying that one for the wii. I am afraid DH will be addicted and never go to bed at night! I probably wouldn't get a turn.

I don't know about guitar hero, but my whole family loves Rock Band.

It comes with drums, a guitar, and a microphone, so 3 of you can play at once. If you buy an extra guitar, you can have 4 people (one playing bass guitar).

Me and DH stay up half the night after we send the kids to bed playing this game!! We've only had it since Sunday night!

And even if you aren't coordinated, you can be the singer! Who doesn't want to rock out to Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi??

Later, losers. I'm off to retrieve kids from school and yell at them to do homework. Yay. I'll be back later tonight.

Kellie, I forgot to  earlier. Glad you made it through the surgery. Hopefully you are in a nice, comfortable, drug-induced dream!:upsidedow

Here's one!

:rotfl: Much better than the Peter Pan one over on the lounge. I CANNOT get that pic out of my mind..and not in a good way..

Stupid Rock Band.

Anyone else play this game with their kids? It's kind of addicting. I've mastered the easy level, and I'm moving up to the medium level.

I know I'm going to have corpal tunnel in my wrist. Hey!! Maybe that'll be the excuse I use to get out of going back to work next week!!

I saw this briefly on some TV show. Do they have it for Wii, I've only seen XBox and Playstation...which we have, so I guess I don't need it for Wii.

Can you describe it, it's a game? I thought it was just karaoke with instruments..

How old are your kids that are playing it...mine are 8 and 10...old enough?

he he he....this thread is silly today....

 #1DS just got a phone call from a girl. I'm soooooooo not ready for this to start.
Oh I know it's a girl from his class, but it totally caught me off guard.
:sad1: My baby's growing up :sad1:

Go ahead call me a dork, I know Fire Eater will as soon as I tell him about it.

Awwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(you need a drink....something strong....RUN do not walk to the kitchen and get one)

OK, I'm outa here...see y'all later.

shoot me now.

I had DS10 get a book on how to draw people out of the library at school since we keep getting these book reports that require drawing. Now this book is very simplistic. Circle for the head, square for the body. The figures they are teaching him to draw are even cartoony like.

Let me just say this, I had to walk away. This child will never get an art scholarship that is for sure!:lmao:

I dont know which is worse, this or when he draws his unidentifiable stick figures.:confused3

Just to talk??? We have had girls call for homework but not to chat.

Although I think the girls are very protective of him from what I have seen. It is so cute.

He does chat with one girl through Webkinz but you cant say a whole lot there.

I guess so cause they are on spring break for the next 2 weeks & there's no homework for the entire break.

They have it for playstation and xbox (which we have). It's really cool.

You start your own band. A drummer, a singer, a guitarist, or any combination, even one person by themself.

The singer is given the words, as well as a line on the screen that tells them how high or low their voice should be on a particular note.

The drummer has four colored drums, plus the foot beat. On the screen, it will show you a particular color, and you have to hit the right colored drum at the right time.

The guitarist has 5 colored buttons on it. Again, you'll see a particular color on the screen, and you have to hit the right button and "strum" the guitar at the right time.

If you do good, you'll hear yourself play music. If you miss the notes, you'll hear silence. If you do terribly, you'll get boo'ed offstage. If you do great, you'll get money, a tourbus, unlock new songs to play, etc.

It's hard to explain, but very fun.

And 8 and 10 are GREAT ages for this game.

Now that sounds like so much fun! I have the brain that never forgets a song. I'm sure I would be booed off the stage because I have a terrible voice. Do you sing with it Shore? You are such an 80's girl, I'm sure you love it.

Evening losers,

I want Rock Band! Can I come over and play??

I'm also getting sick. In a wierd way that I have never gotten sick before. I had to come home today after going with DH to the office (they are moving into a new office, and I need to space plan the place) and I slept for FOUR HOURS. And I'm still tired? :confused3 Yesterday was the same, as soon as DH came home I slept for 2 hours. I'm getting plenty of sleep at night too. I woke up this morning with heavy black circles under my eyes, which is unusual for me.

OH - and call me a dork, but on the 8th the Wheel of Fortune Bus will be rolling into our town for tryouts. I want to go. I think I might.

You need to try out! My husband is always telling me that. The bus is never near us so I don't. You should. What do you have to lose? Are you good at puzzles?

Yes, I sing with Rock Band. I also play the guitar.

DS is begging me to play with him right now, so I guess I'll be the good mom and indulge him.

Mkrop, take care of that 1 in 10 ohioians thread for me while I'm gone, will ya?

That's MY BOY:cool1:

Yeah, I'm usually pretty good when I watch it at home, but I have no idea what it will be like when I'm in front of a whole bunch of people.

I'm playing online WOF right now to practice. Yep. It's official. I'm a loser.
