Ok, so um.....my kids just ate some chicken strips. DS8 has ketchup left on his plate, and DS3 is yelling at me because his brother won't let him lick the plate.

Arguing over ketchup licking? OMG, I am in for such a bad day.

:rotfl2:

#2DS has started the "adoring big brother wanting to do what he does" phase

I think #1DS is getting alittle annoyed with him:rolleyes:

Ugh I now what I'm doing Monday morning :headache:

I just checked the mail and found a safety recall for my car.
They say it's gonna take more than 30 mins. So they are gonna have to give me a loaner car ( I hope it's not that cruddy bootie (you know what I want to say;) ) impala they gave me last time) move the car seats over to it and then I have to deal with getting a pass to get back on base.

When my car got hit last summer and we put in to get fixed they met me at the dealers with the rental. I drive a camery and they said I would get a carmery. Well the insurance company messed up and they showed up with a little clown car.:rotfl2: The car was telling me how I need to let it warm up do to the fact it is a envoimently friendly car blah blah blah. I was on the ground laugh at him. Warden had to let him know this was so not going to work. I need a car with some get and go.

Yeah, my dealer gave me a clown car when I got the new transmission. That was joyful.

Me too. Although my car is a PT Cruiser it has a turbo and will move. When our car got hit last summer the rental company tried to put me in a cracker box. :scared1: I told the rental agent, "Can't you just see getting my backside in and out of that thing?". No thank you.

Considering I'm used to driving an Eddie Bauer Explorer...the little tin can they put me in was very damaging to my rep. :snooty:

OK..I slept in this morning...how much of a loser am I if I take a nap?

great now that you two have mentioned clown cars I keep hearing circus music in my head. :scared:

I am going to take one. I hope my boss will be okay with me napping at work Monday.

Circus music is good for the soul:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Hey where is FE. Napping from his babysitting job last night:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Back from my morning extravaganza :woohoo: I was winner mom this morning pleasing all....Got the kids up and brought them to Home Depot where we proceeded to see grandpa (AKA my dad - he works there) and make planters which they even complete with potting soil & mixed flower seeds. Drop off DS to play Wii with dad/dh and off DD & I go to snipits and shopping. I wanted her to get a cute little up do - curls and such...she picked this:

Which I let her do because it will last about a week so she will be able to sport it at school Monday. Then she had her nails done hot pink with a rainbow on her thumbs :goodvibes We completed the trip with 2 outfits from Justice/Limited Too so she is on cloud 9 :cloud9: and lovin mommy!

You will have to be one handsome man before I reply to that.

Hey, after a few Jagermeisters and who knows :rotfl2:

Ok, so why didn't all you sport parents tell me that you had to be EARLY to sign up for pop warner football?

Sign up started at 9 am. I got there at 9:20. Waited friggin 40 minutes. We are #1 on the wait list for Junior Pee Wee. So now I'm left hoping for the next few months that some kid moves away or stubs his toe or something so my kid can play football -- because if he doesn't play, you know I will be the worst mother in the world.

I was thinking that I should get there early, but I dilly-dallied because DH said, "They'll let everyone play, they won't leave anyone out." Yeah, DH, it's all YOUR FAULT!!

Blame the husband! If YOUR FATHER was ready at 8:00 when I WAS then we would have gotten in. 1st spot though, you should get in w/o a problem.
We had to sign up 2 weeks ago for football. DS7 is the starting age around here - you cannot play before that in any area league. He is a sports nut so he is completely psyched for football!

Well, they don't have enough for towns to have their own teams here. It's a county wide thing. I just didn't realize that the county only had the 1 team. Apparently, there are only 5 teams for the entire eastern shore of MD.

I thought it was like t-ball. Each team has corporate sponsers, and the county has like 10 teams that all play against each other.

The only good thing is, the people there told me that the top 5 wait list spots are all but guarenteed. So, everyone keep your fingers crossed for my little guy.

My kid lives and breathes football. He will be so disappointed if he can't play.

On the baseball front, I pass a field in town and guess what their playing......BASEBALL :scared1: I still haven't gotten a callback after 3 messages from the freaking leaugue PRESIDENT!!! So I turn around and approach the field leaving both kids unattended in the car (bad parent) and go up to the coaches...."is this the town league baseball?" yup :when did you start?" a month ago! :headache: ...... I did manage to find out that my son is in a younger section so they will not start for 2-3 more weeks so that put him at ease. Conversation started out tense but we're ok now knowing a couple more weeks b4 he plays.

Funny....I stopped at the box office to purchase CIRCUS tickets this morning only to find out they had crap for tickets left so I think we're waiting until the fall when they come back around.

.

Ding Ding we have a winner for the day. Love the hair. DD will remember you doing these things for her.

Sometimes I wish I had a little girl to dress up and get nails done with and fix their hair.

And then I remember that they too will be PMS'ing one day, and I don't think two of us in the same house would be a good idea after all.

IAHD- glad DD and you had fun doing girlie stuff. Can't wait till DD is alittle older to do stuff like that.

Yep--DH threatens to take DS and move out for a week or more every month. The fixing hair thing never really worked for me--mostly she didn't like me to do it because it hurt. It is fun now when she lets me at it. It can also be fun when shopping--but that gets old after a while, too, trust me!

I have been semi-winnerish. DH took DS to Scouting for food and I got to take DD to a parent/kid volunteer meeting for the Olympic Trials. She is volunteering as a basket carrier for the swimmers in June. We came home and got DS/DH for lunch--gyros. Now I am doing laundry--ick.

It's supposed to be 7o today but is windy. We just can't win. It's supposed to rain again tonight and be colder all week. At least DH got the yard fertilized, which onlymeans that it will now grow and I will be mowing before too long:headache:
IAHD--DD's hair looks cute.
Shore--Hopefully FB comes thru. BTW--how's the crab poisoning?
Dorky--What exactly must you be like to be a good cat parent?:confused3 I don't get that.

Everyone else---I forgot everything I read, but have a Magical Saturday!:wizard:

Crab poisoning seems perfectly fine. I keep popping those antibiotics, and my streak disappeared. My arm isn't sore to the touch anymore either.

I have to say I was really worried about it for a while.

The kids are playing the game of Life right now. DS8 landed on a spot, and didn't understand what it said, so he came to me and says, "It says 'abort a pet.' What does that mean, abort a pet?" I'm thinking what kind of crazy game would tell kids to abort a pet?

And then I remembered that DS still does the 'd's and 'b's backwards sometimes. Adopt a pet.

At least they aren't fighting over ketchup!

:scared1:

I sent DS and friend outside because they were getting wild in the basement. Then DS friend copped an attitude. I try to be nice to the kid--he's had it rough lately, but sometimes it's hard. His mom walked out on the family last year--I think she was a little crazy anyway. Now I hear his dad is out of work but hoping that he can get a job at Red Robin. Still, that doesn't give him license to be a butt in my house.

DD is on myspace. I'm getting ready to go check out what she's got on there. I'm scared:scared: Actually she's pretty good and knows I can check at any time, but still.... She actually had a friend call her cell today and get mad because DD posted her middle name on the MySpace page (it's private--friends only, but she is taking it off anyway) and thought she was the only one of DD's friends to know that. Talk about a stalker! yikes

Just got a call from my dad...they took the kids into DC to take my stepmom's cousin (91 years old) out to lunch. She loves my kids, go figure:confused3 . Anyway, they stuffed themselves for lunch and they're not going to be hungry for crabs.

Soooooooo.....my husband and I are going without them.

No whining childeren!!!! God I hope they have good crabs!

Then I'll come home and put my kids to bed. Can this day get much better?

Sometimes I wish I had a little girl to dress up and get nails done with and fix their hair.

I once read a thread on the DIS about how boys today like to shave their bodies and get manicures just like girls. Why don't you poll this...I bet you'd get lots of support.
