Especially when we can spend it here

I love the pre-child strongly opinionated people, they have the best ideas of how life should be handled

You reward your child for _____________ (fill in the blank with any meaningless task that they take for granted but you have spent the last 2 hours argueing with a 2 year old)

or the infamous

I would never allow MY child to ____________ (example here would be: let my child sleep in their school clothes, wear pajamas/costume/bathing suit to the store/school/etc.

....you get the point ;)

Disclaimer: This is a general statement. Not ALL childless people act this way.

I don't have kids and I am opinionated. The difference with me is that I interact with kids alot. Especially young kids. My friends all have kids and I spend lots of time with them so I see what they go through so I can relate to what other moms go through. I have helped feed and bathe and dress the kids. I am just glad I don't have to do diaper duty.

Well I have finally made it back from my errands. Now gonna head over to the drive thru thread to see what she said about my quote. :scared: Should I be scared?

:lmao:

Thats my point though, you have some experience with how children can be ;) It is the people who do not have exposure to children for any length of time that seem to have the best advice on what to do or not to do with them. It's okay to be opinionated, but it's like crossing a street, the key is being able to look both ways before stepping off the curb :teacher:

You've heard of "armchair quarterbacks?" This one is an "armchair parent!"

I had a friend who was pregnant. She wanted to be (what I called her) an "earth mother"..although she didn't breastfeed...but anyway...She was NOT going to use the Microwave on any of her baby's formula or food. Something about microwaves being harmful, not inconsistent heating..That attitude lasted about two weeks or so, after having to heat formula in a bottle in a pan of water in the middle of the night...

Everyone had ideas about how different they would be with their kids, but when reality hits, it's a totally different story..like my DMIL says (7 kids) "whatever works"..

Is there anyway we can pound what you said into Mrs. Smiths skull? Because she ain't getting it. Must be stupid or something.

I'm too lazy to respond to the drive-thru thread.:lmao: And ya'll have said all the good stuff already. I just wish I had a drive-thru convenience store near me. As a person who has buckled and unbuckled those stupid car seats and booster seats 300 thousand bajillion times, I know it isn't laziness but deep down bone crushing exhaustion that makes me use a drive-thru. I have literally almost cried before when I have stopped to get gas and the machine took my card but then after you pump, it says "Please see a cashier inside." And, if you are such an evil mom as to even consider leaving your precious darlings in the vehicle in sight for 2 minutes someone would be calling social services on you.:sad2:

Looks like I go a free pass cause she never responded to my quote.

Seriously craving DD right now with all that drive thru talk.

If I tell her that her opinion means nothing and to get off her high horse and stop the holier than thou attitude...do you think others will back me up?

She will just lead her high horse out to her organic garden, sit in her solar fed house, sipping her boutique purchased coffee that she walked to pick up. All the while singing "the hills are alive with music"

But will it get her out of our thread?

My (now ex) husband & I used to own one of those evil drive thru convenience stores. Am I partly responsible for contributing to the decline of our society as we know it? :confused3

Man, it must be exhausting being perfect all the time. I try to limit it myself so as not to wear out too soon. :rotfl:

That thread sent my cravings through the roof, too., I am sitting here right now with my drive thru Big Mac..I wanted to check in on the fun before I ate it.

Rats, if I would have WALKED into MD's instead of using the drive thru, it would have totally negated the 1000+ calories in this sandwich..D'oh..

But will it get her out of our thread?

Now why would we want her to leave, her hoity toity attiutde is what is making it fun. She really has no clue and people are cyber beating the snot out of her
