But you being on the cusp I think helps with references. I have Dbro 28 who gets most of my references and Dbro 24 who doesnt. Even DH and I are 6 years apart (he's older) and sometimes I dont get his references.

Although I had to laugh bc shortly after I read how old you were I went in the other room and the Kia commercial was on. Well a couple of years ago when I was working I arrived at my cube to find the ceiling tile buckling above me. I turned to my coworkers who are 28 now and said "there is no way I am sitting there and having a Flashdance moment" They didnt get the reference. So just then my boss who was in the over 40 crowd walks by. I make the same comment. He starts laughing hysterically and "says aww cmon and sit there I will get you a headband and some leg warmers" he got it. So now every time I see the Kia commercial that is referencing the Flashdance scence and they are playing the Maniac song, I always think how many people younger than me are not getting this. (I am 38 by the way )

I LOVE the music from Flashdance. And Fame...loved that movie.

I have to go to a viewing this evening. A close family friend passed away, and I have no choice but to make an appearance and express my condolences. Since I can't make it to the funeral tomorrow (totally impossible), I have to go tonight.

I do the same thing! Mine really cramps my style when he is home..I really don't get into doing anything until about 10 minutes before he is sceduled to get home...I also have a good view of the driveway from where I Dis.

I was on the Disney for Families forum, read a thread that was sort of similar to something I'm dealing with, posted my petty little problem, asked for advice, and I got totally attacked!!

Of course, all the other posters defended me, but I'm tellin ya, there's a loon over there, and she's bonkers.

Well, by the time as I read the thread, it seemed like they already had all the answers they needed (since it was at page 7).

So I told my story, that DS had been saving money specifically for a Disney trip, and I didn't feel comfortable using it. But I also didn't think I should just leave the money and not use it, since the sole purpose for his saving was Disney. So I asked everyone what they thought I should do with his money.

I just don't understand where she got that I don't give my kids presents and that they have no toys?? That I only give them money so they'll stick it in the jar?? Crazy people!!

Last week I was sick with the flu and felt like death warmed over. I still dragged my coughing, sneezing, feverish butt out of bed to DIS. I couldn't go without my DIS.

Just got back from reading the link. That crazy lady who said it was pathetic. HELLO--thems fightin words. I would have gone ape poo on her I think you have done the right thing having your DS save for your trip. Most kids cant wait a week without it burning a hole in their pockets. I know my son is like that---spend spend spend.

Unfortunately reality is kicking me in the butt today. I had to go into work. DISing from the reception area as we speak. Good thing it's a slow day.
