I hope he feels better, I was up all night with stomach pains DS5 seems better, but DS10 is full off gunk, fun times!

Although I just found out last night that we may go to WDW before we have to go to my cousin's wedding in Tampa in June. DH said well if we have to be down there anyway, and so he got the kids all hyped. Now I just have to find out if that last week of school matters. I think it doesnt, all exams are the week before.

What is it with all these sick kids? Both of yours, both of mine, Lara's...

Anyhow, I hope you do get to go!! They don't really do anything at all the last week of school here. They do a lot of other non graded type of activities. They play games, they have a field day, that kind of stuff. I think the kids have fun, but I'm sure they'd have more fun at WDW.

Morning everyone!!

I had a rough night. DS3 was up all night coughing. I slept on the couch with him (his toddler bed is too small for the both of us). So I really didn't sleep at all.

I'm pumping him full of medicine because we're leaving for WDW on Friday. We weren't supposed to get there til Sunday, but my DH decided to leave early. So I booked a hotel for Saturday night.

That always happens. Whenever we make plans, DH changes them at the last minute. But hey, we're getting to Florida a day earlier, so who am I to complain?

Hope he feels better in time for vacation. My daughter has had this horrible cough too. I finally just rubbed Vic's on her chest and she is doing better. I tried all the medicine that we had and Vic's worked the best.

DS3 still has his ear infection. He has a recheck on the 7th. He was up most of the night too. I finally gave up on sleep at 5:20am and I just put on a movie. We are church skippers today.

Hooray that you get to go to Florida a day early! How long are you staying for?

At our school the last week doesn't count. They don't even have a full week. The last day is usually a half day too.

You've got 2 sick kids too? There's something in the air I guess.

We're leaving Friday, picking DS8 up from school, and heading straight down. I figure we'll get to the Florida line at about 3 am. There's a nice rest stop there, and we'll probably sleep for a few hours. Then off to Orlando. We'll do some stuff on International Drive. Maybe some mini-golf or go-carts. Possibly see the Titanic Exhibit at the Science Center. Not really sure yet. We just decided to leave early last night. Then to the hotel for a good nights sleep, so we can be up and at it early Sunday morning. We're staying until Saturday at WDW. Then we'll probably head to Universal or Busch Gardens in Tampa because we don't have to be back home til Monday night.

To answer your question, I don't really know what we're doing, except we're leaving Friday, coming back next Monday, and we'll be at WDW from Sunday to Saturday.

Alright all of you with sick kids stay away from me

I think #1DS is coming down with something already. He was up last night coughing, which kept him up half the night, until I gave him some kids night time cough medicine. Slept like a baby after that
Too bad the other two kids are too young for the medicine. If they get sick I know they will be up all night hacking.


The last week of school here all they do are field days & field trips.

I am trying to stay away from people, that is why we skipped church. I swear I feel like I haven't been out of the house for 2 weeks.

TFS, The Titanic exhibit would be cool to see. My BIL and his wife took their DS3 to it and he set off some alarms. He go too close to stuff.

Hi...just wanted to fly by and say hi....sorry to hear everyone else's kids are sick too. I'm tired of the kids being sick...I'm tired of me being sick...I still feel like hell and I have to find the energy to make and decorate a pinewood derby car for the powder puff derby next weekend.

I think we're going to do a "Bunnymobile"...then I can cover all the mistakes with cotton balls.

Pinewood Derby. My DH has such fond memories of that. I like the bunnymoblie, amybe you can find those pink cotton balls. That would really be Powder Puff.

we are church skippers today but it was all me. Like I said I had horrible stomach pains, and couldnt sleep, I said forget, I go every other week, God understands. This was one of DS5 symptoms, stomach pain, and gas pains. So I think the rest fo church thanks me too, and I am sure no one wants to shake DS10's hand during the "sign of peace" with him hacling and sniffling the way he is.

The calendar does look like it is the slow week and from what I remember, one day is clerical and they have off and the last day is 10:30 dismassal. But I will be a good mom and ask and make sure before we book anything

Yeah I was supposed to work in the nursery. I called them and told them I wasn't going to share our germs with them. I think they were pretty happy about it. I am also the nursery coordinator, what are they gonna do? Fire me. No one wants my job, so I'm pretty sure it was ok.

I am so bored. The goundhog was right too. It's snowing here today.

About the Vic's , she refused to put her shirt on. She was freaking!! She was yelling, "What did you put on me?? I can taste it in my mouth!! You never use this stuff, how do you know it works??!!" She earned herself an early trip to bed that night. When she woke up the next morning, she wasn't coughing, so it was totally worth it.

I used to have a cat that thought vick's was like crack...she'd go nuts if I put it on and would come and roll all over my chest and then get crazy. I liked her added heat on the vicks...so it was all good for me.

So sorry about every ones little ones with colds. So far it has just been me and DHG who have gotten sick this season. Hopefully, it will stay that way. We like to save our "sick" days for skipping school and going to WDW!!

I just found the bottle of Johnson & Johnson soothing vapor bath that I have had since #2DS was about a year old. Wonder if that stuff expires?
Does anyone know if there's an age restriction for Vicks Vapo rub? I found a bottle in the cabinet but the label is missing.
