The longest I have ever waited in line for a ride.....

This past January we had fast pass return passes for Test Track at DW. The ride broke down while we were in line and we waited more than 2 hours in the fast pass return line to get one ride in!

It was like that the whole trip! We were at DW 5 days and spent $1000 for 5 day park hoppers. During the 4 days we spent at the parks we ended up only getting 5 rides in (twice on Expedition Everest during Magical Hours). We chose not to go into the parks on day 5! One ride a day for all that money!

The crowds, the rain-we learned! It's Disneyland for us from now on!

I waited about two hours for Expedition Everest during the sneak preview for Annual Passholders at Disney World a couple of years ago.

I waited 45 minutes for Nemo a couple of weeks ago--got in line five minutes after park opening and still had that 45 minute wait, much better than the 90-120 minutes people were waiting for it.

By far the longest I've ever stayed in line was the 4 hours the night that Nemo opened this summer. We got to the park not even realizing that it was opening day - took one trip around the park seeing huge lines for everything else and figured "why not?". 4 hot chocolates, 2 burgers and a heck of a lot of tetris on my cell phone later we got on the right before Midnight.

I wouldn't say the ride itself was worth the wait, but it's a fun story for us to look back on so it was worth it.

Sadly, my longest wait was not for a ride, rather a character. We were in DL on June 11th for the opening of Nemo - and went to DCA for our last day (the 11th) to avoid the lines. We were laughing that someone would wait four hours for a ride. Then the unthinkable happened. We saw Stitch - DS's absolute favorite character. You have to understand that DS is in a special needs preschool, and his first word was Stitch - so this was huge - Stitch also was the first anything that DS reacted to ever. We ran over, and were too late, but were told he would be back in 30 minutes. Every 30 minutes we asked a CM, and were told he would be back in 30 minutes. FOUR HOURS LATER we finally saw him, and were able to begin our 7 hour drive home much later then anticipated!!!

In my adult life.

At DLR 25 minutes for Roger Rabbit. it had broken down (No fast passes) and when it opened up we had nothing more to do back there or near it so we figured wasting 20 minutes getting there and back later anyway, we were better off just waiting it out. We also waited 25 with fast pass for Indy. We now treat that as a non-fastpass attraction and hit it early. Nothing else over 15 minutes, ever in my adult years.

Over at WDW 40 minutes to eat at Crystal Palace with ADRs, and about 30 minutes for Turtle Talk with crush. Nothing else over 15.

As a kid, we waited 2 hours for Space Mountain, didn't even make the loading area, and exited because we thought our parents might get worried. They chewed us out for riding it multiple times behind their backs without permission when in fact we didn't get to ride it once. The CM had seen what had happened so she explained we hadn't ridden, took us in and got us on the ride immediately. We then took advantage of their embarrassment by riding several things multiple times without permission getting called on it zero times the remainder of the trip.

In DL, the longest I have waited was probably for GRR, around 45 minutes one day (if I had only known back then their fastpass machine wasn't linked). Also, we waited for Jungle Cruise once for around 40 minutes in a very deserted park. No idea what the heck was going on, didn't know it was that bad until we got inside and they had the line snaking upstairs. I was ready to jump out down below to get out of that line!

In WDW, my longest wait was for Expedition Everest. Sign said 70 minutes, we waited around 60. I'd do it again for that one!

Probably a little more then an hour. Most of the times were before FP exsisted, and before coming to this site! I've learned so much here, we only waited 20 minutes for Nemo in June even!

Ok. SO I was young & stupid but when my best friend & I went to Universal Studios on our own (20 yrs old) we waited for 4 HOURS to go on Jurassic Park.....it was cool....but we got too wet after dark & we were freezing. We went on Backdraft afterwards & smelled like propane all night. Ahhh....to be young again! LOL

Back in the day I can remember waiting in lines for almost two hours. This was way back when we were young and didn't know better. We would go in the middle of summer, on a saturday, and would not get there at opening. We have learned our leason though and never do that. We fast pass everything we can, and almost never wait more than 30 mins ever.

Of course! We got to the gates early for EE. My son and DH RUSHED over to Nemo as soon as they let us in. I'm not such a quick walker so I met up with them. It paid off because we on the first sub. The only reason we had a wait was because they took 20 minutes to start the ride!

It did take up most of our EE (we got to ride Buzz and Space afterwards, but that's it). In June it was worth it though, the crowds that were rushing over there on non-EE days were amazing! Left the rest of FL empty! LOL

Thanks for the hint! We'll be there in March! This past March when we were there, Nemo was still under construction!

Where is the line up? I imagine it is close to the monorail entry.

The line actually starts back by the Matterhorn. The best way to get there first thing is just to follow the parade route back through Fantasyland.
