Just to be fair, the DISer could have left not because he or she was losing but because they had something important to tend to, like lunch burning or something.

Hmmm.... I'm not really sure I agree with this little "experiment" of yours. Are you trying to give DIS'ers a bad name? "PM me and I'll give you their title and room name?" Just because this person booted you? What REALLY is the point of this thread of yours??
I guess I will find my name being pm'ed to people at some point if this is what you are basing your criteria on.
1) I have a very fast boot finger at certain times when in my rooms, and I don't feel bad about it at all
2) I boot people out of my pirate games ALL THE TIME because I cannot do 4 on 4 or sometimes even 3 on 3. Also, if I'm playing an organized friendly game, you're going to get the boot regardless of whether you are a DIS'er or not.
3) I decline trade requests pretty much all the time unless it's someone I have specifically arranged a trade with ahead of time. I don't care if you're a guest or wearing a gazillion infernos, you will get that little "rude" pop-up telling you that I declined your request (and I'll probably put you on ignore too).

I can understand doing an experiment to see how a "guest" is treated in VMK.
HOWEVER, this experiment seems to be going awry - it is now more like a "let me spy on DIS'ers while incognito and run back here and report their bad behavior". THAT'S what I have an issue with.
I don't believe Titanic has a hidden agenda; I remember being a guest and a new player (and many people still think I'm new because I don't have anything that is considered "rare") and to tell the truth, it is a miserable life much of the time! I remember when I didn't have any fansite to help me, and when I would try to trade for "rare" I would put up stuff- I had no idea of values of items in VMK!- and would be summarily laughed out of the trade box. I started with the old Pirates game and after awhile I only played with the computer because people would ask me how I ever got to Level 2 I was so bad. Nobody ever asked to be my friend, especially at first because I didn't wear a "female figure" shirt. People do discriminate! Sure some of us do all we can to help guests and newbies, but others frequently persecute the "poor". As for trades, back when we couldn't turn off trades, sure I would deny trade requests, but only after I asked how I could help the requester, then said, "sorry not for trade" or "no thanks, but good luck". And I have observed Titanic in-game, and no matter how long he has to wait, he never boots anyone from a Pirates game. Even if we have a group going, he waits until all sides are even before starting. One time we waited 10 minutes.
If you want to see for yourselves how guests are treated, do what Titanic did. Create a new character, don't go seeking out your main character's friends, act like you've just stepped your virtual foot into VMK, and watch how things unfold. I can almost guarantee you will have similar, if not identical, results. Just as with any type of discrimination, it's painful to think of, but it needs to be brought out in the open, and that's just what Titanic is trying to do. I'm sure he has only good intentions, trying to show us the true colors of many VMK'ers. It's easy enough to be nice and friendly to rich people and CL's, but guests and the poor often get overlooked. I applaude IliketheTitanic; he has shown in the past that he is only looking out for others, at times to the detriment of himself. A round of high-fives to Titanic and all who try to make guest's lives, and the lives of all us other avatars, better and more pleasant!![]()

Once again, I don't think this is the case. He is not conducting a smear campaign that I can see, he just happens to note that it's a DISer that treats him this way! I guess we hold DISers to a higher standard, so it seems to him to be unusual to be treated so by DISers. If he really wanted to smear someone on here, wouldn't you think he'd name names? Even if he was "spying" on DISers, our behavior, to ANYONE, should be above reproach. We shouldn't act one way to DISers and our friends and another way to people we don't know. Common courtesy should be extended to everyone, even guests. Titanic, I'm going to recommend that you not even mention DISer's poor behavior anymore. DISers aren't perfect, but I guess we like to go on thinking they are.![]()

well... I was actually going to post my story on a different post, I actually am not giving DISers bad names, But maybe unveiling the truth, Everyone is titled to their own opinions,
With the trading incident, I moved and accidently was in front of someone and was booted for no reason at all.
I have a understanding of you booting people out of a game for friends and DISers to a extent when I start games I always try to include everyone in with the fun.
and for trading I randomly asked to trade someone once then I decided well I should probably ask but I asked properly and was ignored... but if I was a guest and had sparrow, stitch, green flips etc.... There probably would have been no hesitating to trade me... the fact is that all guest are considered poor or new or both by alot of people. The purpose of this test was to test and revel the truth when I was a guest nobody traded me and when I was not a guest and I had no rare at all nobody still traded me when I had Inferno on I had a 98% increase of trades then with my character with nothing at all...
I think players and DISers have the right to know.
