We are off shopping :yay:

As I have already told you mum wanted to change the day as it was not very nice weather!! We got a little shuttle from POR to Alamo car company. First stop was Edwin Watts (golf shop), Prime outlet, and a super target. That was it we were going to go lots more places but mum was getting very stressed!! But we did get to every place very safe and sound which was good!!

We didn’t have any pictures again and I have a few logos of some of the shops we went to:

After we bought nearly the whole outlet :rotfl2: we decided to move on and go to the super target!! Everyone said they live on Target we didn’t think it was that good it seemed like a massive Tescos (our local groceries store.)

We thought it was ok. We bought: some cough sweets for myself, lots and lots of crisps, some pop tarts as Ellie loves them she got some random flavour frosted chocolate fudge and the cookie dough one too as we don’t have those here. I got a chocolate brown skirt and a pink hoddie t-shirt. We also got many essential things like breakfast bars for the mornings before the parks!!

We went back to Alamo at round about 4:30pm and we got a little shuttle to take us back to POR and were back in the room quite quick with our bags and guess what???

IT IS STILL RAINING!!! ARGGGGGGGGGGG

We are in our room and some of us got changed into our new outfits! We were off to Down Town Disney to the Virgin mega store!! :yay: Ellie and I bought ourselves something Dad didn’t buy anything and neither did Mum. Ellie bought Guitar hero for the Nintendo DS; she plays on it all the time!! She also bought the Mamma Mia CD and I bought the Camp Rock CD

We all started to get very hungry and Dad wanted to go to Earl of Sandwich but I didn’t want sandwiches as we had them for lunch. So we went back to POR on the bus as it was still raining. We ordered 2x pizzas and 1x pasta. For dessert we got 3x ice creams. We were back in the room by 8:40pm.

We all were so tired by the end of the day as of all that shopping!!

Tomorrow is our favourite park EPCOT woooohoooo :):yay:

Thought it was easier for this day for me to do my thoughts in one big bit!

So as Jess said I tried to cancel the rental car, the hurricane was still with us and I was not keen at all for my first time driving on the “wrong” side of the road to be in the wind and rain  I phoned Alamo up but because I’d booked through a UK company (cheaper deal :rotfl2:) I would have to phone the UK to cancel, well me being tight didn’t want too so I sucked it up and decided to brave it!!!!

It was very easy to arrange the free transfer to the Disney Car Centre and as we drove there I was busy trying to memorise the route for the way home :lmao: We surprisingly were the only ones in the queue and we were quickly given our keys. We walked to the car, OK ran a bit because it was raining, and me keys in hand went to get in the right hand door, uhhhh the steering wheel is on the left silly woman :rotfl: Anyway I soon found the correct door and after a quick look at how things worked we were on our way, pretty slowly I must say. Oh I must point out this was my first time driving an automatic car too!

The ride went smoothly my navigator (DH) was excellent and after several times of me trying to find the clutch and gear stick as I was braking and a few squeals of will you get into the middle of the road not on the side of the road we arrived at our first shop all in one piece :goodvibes

First stop was Edwin Watts a golf shop, I can remember this shop from when I was a child, I think my first set of golf clubs may have even been bought there. Anyway it was massive but what a disappointment, no bargains at all, most things were full price! We walked out with nothing!

Next was the Prime outlets where we errr spent loads, new trainers for both girls, Jess found the Converse all stars she wanted and they were a fraction of the price. I found several golf skorts, which again were a bargain, oh I also got a nice new fossil watch as my other one had broken a few weeks beforehand. Other things were bought and we also had lunch in the food court, some kind of cheese steak sandwich!

We then drove to Super Target which I didn’t think was that fantastic, we still bought a few bits though before heading back along the I4. We arrived back safely and the car was still in one piece too, phew :rotfl:

I can’t say I enjoyed the driving, it was pretty stressful in that weather, but would give it another go :goodvibes

As Jess said we then went to DTD in the evening for more shopping, strangely we never found CD’s or DS games for sale so off to Virgin we went and spent another $150 :faint:

There then was a bit of a battle as David wanted to go to his favourite EoS but Jess wasn’t having it, so we ended up back at POR. He never let her forget that BTW :lmao:

Thanks for the reply Nat, I see loads of people have read, I wish they'd say hi :goodvibes

Well Done with the driving Jo:thumbsup2

Craig is going to drive for the first time next year:scared1:

Glad you all had a good shopping trip:thumbsup2 I :lovestruc shopping

Walmart & Virgin are good for DS Games we bought a few too.

You were brave driving Jo :thumbsup2 Every year I say I will but never do :rotfl:

Is the rain ever going to stop :confused3

I love your reports Jess :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

excellent shopping day. good for you to venture forth on the roads, not sure I am brave enough

Thanks everyone, lets just say I was glad when the driving was over :rotfl: Oh and the rain does eventually stop I think it ended up being 5 solid days of rain though :sad2:

Thanks Nat, Jess is loving writing it and for her to enjoy writing is amazing :rotfl:

Target is good for some things and not others I agree with you - we got chino's dockers from there and they are good but most of it is cheap and cheerful, and if you live in the UK you get it all there anyway.

Good shopping at Premium Outlets ..... I applaud my fellow shopathons!!LOL!

I did all the driving in the US too, which is easy apart from when you get on to something like a highway from the right and immediately have to cross 5 lanes of heavy traffic to turn left at the lights just 200 yards away .... which happened more times than I care to remember!

Great shopping day guys :thumbsup2 .You all know how to spend.Poor Hubby not getting his EOS-i love it in there.
How brave of you driving-well done :thumbsup2 .Keep up the great writing Jess.x.

I think you were really brave driving. I have been driving an automatic car for 15 years now and I don't think I could go back to manual.

shame about the weather.

I always reply when I read a trip report then I know if I have read it when I check back as it has a tick next to it.

I love shopping days!

I am now very scared as I will be driving for the first time over there in two weeks!!!

Lovely report again and it is nice reading about the day from two prospectives.

I do admire you for driving, it is something I have never fancied doing over there and to do it when it is raining (like no other rain you have ever seen if it rained like typical Florida rain) was fantastic. Well done.:)

Just found this report Great job
love the idea for the 2 of your posting

looking forward to hearing more

Thanks everyone :goodvibes

Claire don't worry about the driving, I just panicked because of the weather, I'm sure you'll be fine :)
