The lazy TR, my 12 y/o is writing it LOL ~~~ Day 7 August 20th ~~~

We got on the bus at about 8:25am and we were off to Disney Hollywood Studios and we all were very excited even though we only go on about half the rides there. Ellie and I were excited to go on TSM. Whilst we were on the bus we spotted Lessa (lifelongDreamer) and her family, Mum and I were waving trying to get them to notice us, Ellie told us that we were wiping the window as well.



Yes I spotted Lessa and her family walking along from the carpark, we were waving like mad but she didn’t see us



Once we were at the bus stop we waved and tried to catch up with her before going through bag check but Dad went all the way through and we had to follow him. We got in a line and then Janet (Jcc0621) spotted us and she said she didn’t recognise Mum she recognised Ellie and I. We all hugged and than she went through stroller line. Then mum and I found Lessa . Mum and Lessa said hi and then it was time to go through.



It was so great that Janet spotted us, her stalking skills were much better this year, LY Janet



We saw the Welcome Hollywood thing and the family which was chosen was from England woooohoooo. There were so many families from England We followed the crowds over towards Toy Story Mania. The queue took about 10-20 minutes mum got 96,000 points I can’t remember what I got. We headed over to GMR, I like it and same with Ellie but Mum and Dad thought it was better the very first year (2005.) We couldn’t really understand what the girl was saying though!!! My favourite part in the ride was the Wizard of Oz and Bugsy Malone bits. After the ride had finished we headed over to get fast passes to ToT.



We made the mad TSM dash, well I did, I went ahead and grabbed FP’s whilst David and the girls came behind and jumped in the standby line, it was absolute mayhem, Lessa was a bit behind us in the queue and we saw here a couple of times! The ride was well worth it though and OMG did my arm ache afterwards, on the final screen you just have to shoot, shoot, shoot, it’s so much fun



Whilst we were waiting for our fast pass time, we headed over to TSM and guess what it is closed. Guess what????? It was raining!!

We went over to the animation centre. We saw lots of characters:

Goofy and Pluto (together)

Chip

Dale.

Once we met all the characters we were all starving so we headed over to Starring rolls Café: I had a chocolate chip cookie and Ellie had the same. Mum and Dad had a croissant and we shared a crispy cake thingy.

We walked all the way to TSM and it was still shut. Then we followed the path to Star Tours I got really annoyed as people were taking pictures of everything. Whilst we were riding it Dad kept grabbing onto to the handles as he had got motion sickness again. We got off the ride and decided to look if TSM was open again but it was still shut. So we headed over to ToT to use our fast passes. I always get scared even though I have ridden it many times! Whilst we were waiting and watching the video this man closed the door. Once the video had finished we were in the corner where the door was the man/bellboy appeared out of nowhere right next to me, it really freaked me out Next to Mum on the ride was this tiny little boy of about 4, he was so brave! I liked it more than last year but still didn’t want to go on again!



TSM was down so much today it was getting ridiculous and the rain OMG it didn’t let up today TOT was better this year for me as I wasn’t worrying about Jess!



We headed to TSM again and it was finally open so we used our FP’s that Mum had got earlier. This ride is wonderful, it’s so much fun with the 4D effect, I also did better this time. Here is a photo that Janet took of us on it!

We are at Sci-fi and we all are starving!!

We had to wait a little time but we don’t care we were like 20 minutes early!! Whilst we were waiting lots of names were called out. The wait staff looked weird as they were in old clothes. The Ladies had an apron round their waists, with a pink dress with a pattern on it!!

One of the ladies had a stitch hand on and she was our server!! Mum, Ellie and I were waiting impatiently and Dad kept wandering around. Mum looked over in the corner and guess who was there????

JANET and her family!!!

Mum knew she had an ADR and was looking all over for her!!! (Trust mum to be looking!!!)

A couple of minutes later our name was called well Mum’s name was called and we were called ‘Jo and ‘FAMILY’ Our seating place was excellent the front row and Ellie and I were in the front row of the car and Dad and Mum were in the second row. Behind us (the third row) was this man with this little boy he was very sweet!!



I knew Janet had a similar ADR to us so was on the look out for her, the place was packed though with hot and wet people all sheltering from the rain. We ended up waiting almost by the toilets! I saw Janet come in and after she’d booked in I went and said Hi. We chatted some and I was very impressed with her nephew Andrew he was a very polite boy who was very good at making conversation Anyway she was eventually seated and when the waiting area only had us in it we were finally called

We were shown to a car right at the front, which was great to start with but I ended up with a stiff neck so would definitely ask for a car near the back next time!



We all ordered the: Angus Chuck Burger - Flame-broiled beef patty topped with cheddar, sauteed onions, mushrooms and crispy bacon. French fries. But Mum and Ellie didn’t have mushrooms on theirs as they aren’t fans well they don’t like mushrooms!!

OMG they were gigantic!! They must have been twice the size of an English burger and so many fries. Dad and I finished every little bit but Mum and Ellie literally couldn’t eat anymore and they did well as far as I was concerned.

For drinks Ellie and Mum had an oreo milkshake, Dad had a coke and I had a Lemonade/Sprite (Lemonade is the English term.) For desserts we all had Cheesecakes to go!! I have never had a doggy bag before!!!



OMG the Oreo milkshake was delicious, I think that’s why I didn’t manage all my burger and we had to take dessert to go We like SciFi and would definitely dine there again!



We said our byes to Janet and left the restaurant and then headed out of the whole park. Well it must be about 3pm and we all wanted a swim, as we were all so sticky and hot from being in that restaurant. We were swimming in the rain and we thought it was great I think it was our first time swimming in the rain!!!

Once we had enough time in the pool we decided to head up to our room. We had showers and changed into different clothes. We got a phone call from V (PrincessV) to say “We are going to the riverside food court if you want to meet us there.” Ellie and I were excited to see Leo. !! I couldn’t wait to see you too V but your son is so sweet!!

Once we got to the food court we saw them in the distance. We wandered over to them and we all hugged and said hi!! We got talking and Leo had finished his kiddie platter and introduced himself and we had a conversation with him!! He told us that his friends at school called him Skull!!! V said that wasn’t true but Leo said it was true!!?? Then Leo told us he had a sharks tooth and Ellie and I were in fits of laughter

We chatted for a long while and then we left them to finish their dinner and we went to the shop!! Then we started to get a little hungry and went back into the food court and this is when I started my salad marathon I love salads and they were massive. So as I have just explained I got a salad, Ellie, Mum and Dad shared 2 different pastas.



Meeting V again was great and Leo was just adorable, his skull and shark tooth stories were hilarious, I’m glad you called V

Jess loved the make your own salad bar at POR, she could choose exactly what she wanted and they made it up as you watched, very fresh and delicious



Once we had finished we decided to back to the room and had a midnight well 8pm night swim and it was still lovely and warm.

Tomorrow is shopping though mum tried to delay it!!!

Lovely report Jess, sounds like you had a fantastic day. We did swimming in the rain at Aquatica this year, it was lashing down but it was still great fun.
