The lazy TR, my 12 y/o is writing it LOL ~~~ Day 5 August 18th ~~~

Today was BB day, we went and had breakfast at Riverside Mill, Dad and I shared the platter which was OK, Mum and Ellie shared a waffle, Mum said the ones she makes are better!


I was so disappointed with the Mickey waffle, I’m sure they were nicer in 2005!


We got to BB by 8.35am but had to wait at the rope drop, they let us in and then we had to wait at another RD on the bridge We did our normal touring plan, we caught the chair lift as there was no queue, we rode team boat springs, Dad steered the raft and we screamed when we were going down backwards and getting covered in cold water Mum hurt her bottom on the handle when she got out. We then walked all the way up the steps to go and ride it again


Yeah I caught my bum on the rough part of the handle as I got out of the raft, it hurt for ages!!!


We took the lazy river for 2 stops to runoff rapids, Mum and Dad carried the double tubes up to the top and nearly had heart attacks! We rode them twice too swapping who we rode with. Mum said it was faster with me as her partner than Ellie


They so need to make some sort of conveyer belt for the tubes on these slides, it nearly killed me carrying the tube up all those steps


We then walked to Downhill Double Dipper but the tubes were all stuck so we carried on up to ride Toboggan Racers. Mum won but we all said she cheated as we have a thing where Ellie goes first, then I second, Mum after me then Dad but she went first!! Ellie and Mum went back up to ride it again whilst Dad and I rode DDDipper Mum gave Ellie some tips on how to go faster, like to hold up the front of the toboggan and to kneel down at the top and really launch yourself off


I did not cheat, the lifeguard said go so I did


Whilst I was at DDD the boy in front of me got stuck so I gave his tube a big kick Mum and Ellie met us at the bottom and could hear us both screaming yeeehaaaa as we came down! We then went to ride TR’s again but Ellie and I decided to do snow stormers instead and left Mum and Dad to have their own race and we met at the bottom!

We then rode the lazy river the whole way round, me and Ellie swam rather than floated. I liked doing this thing where Mum held my waist and I pulled her along in her tube. At one point Mum nearly killed me as I put her under the cold waterfall bit. Ellie then came to rescue her but tried to pull her back out and managed to keep her under the cold water much longer


Lets just say I wasn’t impressed with my cold shower

We then did one more go on runoff rapids followed by teamboat springs. Ellie and I then played for a while in the play area. I was upset as I’m now too tall for the ride where you hold the bar, the CM wouldn’t believe I’m only 12 We had a go at the icebergs but couldn’t do it! We then walked the hundreds of steps to have one last go on the raft ride (team boat springs).


We went to Lottawatta Lodge for lunch, we spotted Pluto so whilst Mum got the food Ellie and I went to see him. He was really funny especially the bottom photo

We shared a pizza and a chicken wrap both of which were nice especially as you got chips instead of fries! We then went back to the hotel where we went swimming


Dad went back to the room and on his way saw a huge snake he said it was at least 18 inches OMG I’m pleased I didn’t see it

After showering and changing we went to the buses and guess what??? We are going to Epcot We are going to meet some of Mum’s English DIS friends. We were at Epcot by 4:10pm. And another guess what??? We got fast passes for Test Track (as it is our favourite ride.) We headed over towards the Rose & Crown. We met TracyCooper, Lonegal and DisWolves. We chatted for about ½ an hour. Dad went and explored England really well!!! They were all very nice!!



Today we had a UK DIS meet set up, there were meant to be loads of us but because of the horrendous rain only 4 of us turned up, it was nice meeting you all though!

We explored the countries, first France and we were really lucky we saw Aurora. She was really nice and we got lots of pictures with her and she kept talking about my Winnie the Pooh siggie book.

Whilst we were seeing Aurora Dad was looking round at the shops, after we had finished Mum saw a queue for Belle and Beast, Ellie was really excited as Belle is her favourite Princess and she was in her Blue dress which we had never seen. Dad continued at looking at the french shops.

After we had seen them we carried on around the countries and I was so happy that I saw those 3 characters and wanted to find more characters and we did!! :. We were in Morocco and we met Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie. Genie appeared out of nowhere well that is what I thought!!! We got great pictures and we had to stand like Jasmine as we were girls and if you were a boy you had to stand like Aladdin. As you know I have a Pooh siggie book well Aladdin told Jasmine that I drew Pooh picture on every page and she believed it (silly her hey .)

China was next and we saw a queue for Mulan and Mushu. Mulan asked us if any of our ancestors get up to watch the sun rise? I said no as I was quite confused : But it was nice meeting them though!!

We had so much luck finding the characters this afternoon, we also found time to really explore the countries, I’m sure that because it was raining on and off and so much cooler than previous years it actually made it far more pleasant looking around!



It was now time for our meal, which was at Teppan Edo in Japan, as you may know you have to sit in groups of 8. We had a lovely family and they were Dissers the ladies screen name is Nicsmom and the daughters screen name is Dizgirl96. A Japanese lady took our orders and I ordered steak and shrimp and so did Dad but Mum and Ellie ordered Steak and Chicken. We had a wonderful chef but when he took our orders he told me I could only have cheeseburger Whilst he was cooking our meal he did some tricks, he flipped some shrimp tails into his hat! He made an onion volcano in the shape of a mickey head.

He also drew a mickey head in oil. When the food was ready he gave everyone their food but only gave me 1 of everything each time, I thought that was funny and he did give me all my meal eventually

Nicsmom’s DS was called Michael and he was about 4, he was so cute and came and talked to me and showed me his pins, he also had a new toy he showed me, so sweet!

For dessert we all had ice-cream except Dad who had ginger cake, it was OK.



Our meal at Teppanedo was absolutely gorgeous, our best meal of the whole entire trip, it really helped that we had a wonderful chef, some other tables weren’t as lucky! As a table we did clap him a lot which I think made him perform better for us



We then went towards TT to use our FP’s, the queue was really long though, Mum and Dad gave us the choice of TT or IROE and we chose TT. We had a great time as always but it kept jerking and stopping, Dad got a bit worried as you can see in the photo! Afterwards we went and got the bus back to POR and on the bus was another DISer called MissSpinCrazy, so lots of DIS sightings today!

So we had TT FP’s burning a hole in our pockets and we weren’t going to give them away this time The thing is we had VIP seats for IROE but they were at the Morocco boat landing so we didn’t have time to do both and TT won All the queues were really long and a couple with a youngish child went in the single rider line, when they got to the front they were told that the child was too young to ride alone so instead of just telling them to get in the normal queue the CM gave them some FP’s, yes very nice for them but it did annoy me that all those other people had been in a 60 minute queue abiding the rules and this family just went in front of them! Anyway this was our first time in the dark and wow it was really good, at several points though we thought it was breaking down, thankfully it didn’t!


We then wandered to the bus stop and could half see the fireworks, it also meant we missed the post fireworks rush

We missed the Dis meet as DS was taken ill - so sorry I missed you all. Enjoying your trip report-especially as we were there at the same time. You saw loads of characters at Epcot- we seemed to time it all wrong.
