Just to warn you Jess went a bit overboard with photos for today




We got to MK for the opening show, like always it was excellent!! When we were walking down Main Street to ‘Buzz light years space ranger’ we saw T, LL, V and all their families. I went up behind Leo and made him jump. V said his eyes lit up when he saw me and we hugged each other!!!
Maddie came over to me to say hi and then Maddie and Michael were holding each other’s hands and Ellie and I thought it was well sweet!!

We went to Buzz FP’d it and rode it 3 times!! At the exit of buzz (the 3rd time) we saw Stitch we went over and had photo pass pictures with him!!!

We were passing through FantasyLand on our way to Splash and saw T, LL, V and their families with ears!! We walked on Splash and like always Ellie loved it and tried to make us go on again. Once we rode Splash Mountain Dad had to wait a while (5 minutes) to get our next lot of FP’s for BTMR. Mum, Ellie and I saw some characters??!!!



Funny story about Splash, we rode it loads of times this trip and often by ourselves so we ended up singing along, but we just could not work out the words. They are ………

Well the last sentence became all sorts like pretty good show us your bum and what David and I thought it was is not suitable for this board

We met Dad at the front of the park to hop onto the next monorail. We went to the Polynesian and we just made our ADR at O’hana’s. The food was lovely but the sausages were very spicy. My favourite part of the meal (except the characters) was the tropical fruit juice it was lovely!! The first character was Lilo and then it took forever. We finished our meal and we were just waiting for the characters!! Then Pluto came followed by Stitch my favourite and then Mickey!!

We enjoyed our breakfast but wouldn’t be in a hurry to return, I’m not much of a breakfast eater, don’t like bacon for a start, but the juice was nice Jess really wanted to see Stitch so at least we managed that wish!



We got their siggies and headed over to the Monorail depot, we got given some more monorail cards, which you can collect, I got the gold monorail. It was number 15 out of 18. Once we passed the Grand Floridian and headed to the MK depot. We went through the turnstiles and we saw 2 of our friends V and Leo. They were heading back to SSR.

When we were walking up Main Street Mum decided to get some PP so here are a few of them!!

We went straight to Buzz and used our fast passes. Then we went straight onto Mickey’s Philharmagic, as it is mums favourite. Then we went to used our fast passes on BTMR. Mum bashed Dad loads and I purposely bashed Ellie to annoy her!!! She didn’t like that!!

Then as Dad hadn’t done the Hook PP we went and did them they were very funny!!! Here are many more:

The Hook PP photos are just hilarious, if you see a tripod set up facing a blank wall near the exit to Pirates make sure you do it, it was even funnier when David thought Hook was going to appear to actually fight us, he didn’t realise it was like the Tinkerbell shot



We followed the Pirate pictures by Pirates of the Caribbean. The queue we always choose is always the slower one as the queue was empty when we get on!! We were off home but I wanted to get a Dole Whip but the queue was too long so Mum said it wasn’t worth it and we would get one another day promise!!

We were back by 2pm at POR. We swam in our quiet pool. Everyone says that the smaller pools are quieter but this time at POR it hasn’t been!!! We went back into the room and got showered. Mum went to fill up the mugs at the food court and she got caught in the rain!!!

We headed straight to Epcot we were there by 4:10pm. Guess what??? Dad went and fast passed TT and then we got to the outpost and the heavens opened and it tipped it down (Mel I know you like that saying) We got as far as Germany and then the Lightning and Thunder started. We were cooped up in the Christmas and sweet shop with tons of other people!!

Mum decided to head up to the USA as the rain has stopped bouncing off of the floor. It quietened itself down!!! She got soaked and she found Mo, Kelly, Z, Kat, Mel, Bob, Z’s friend, Janet and CE. They all did the hugging thing and then started to walk all the way down to Germany and we all met them as they came back to Germany. Mo said that Mum’s accent was fake but Mine, Ellie’s and Dad’s were English!!!



The rain was horrendous, the worst of the trip I think and mixed with the thunder and lightening we decided we weren’t going any further than Germany, it was just too dangerous. So with lots of other wet bodies we waited it out and finally about 15 minutes later I braved it and dashed to America where we were meant to be meeting. I got there and soon found them sheltering by the exit to the show and lots of “Jo” were shouted and hugs all round. It was so good to see everyone and to see CE and Mo for the first time!

We eventually made it back to Germany to book in for our meal!



Once we were at Biergarten we had to wait for T, LL, V, the rest of CE’s family and the rest of Janet’s family. We all exchanged our little gifts, we brought the Fockers: a little UK pin and tea bags for Mo and they weren’t from England over the other side of Epcot they were from our local store!!! For the kids they each got a packet of Fruit Pastilles.


In this picture you may see that Ellie is holding a green bag. Which was from Mo (puggymom) It had a pink/black bandana (black for boys pink for girls) girls got skull rings with lippy inside. In all of them were pirate tattoos and glow sticks!!!! Thanks Mo

From Janet and Jimmy we got a little pin all the way from Philadelphia!! (By the way they are on our pin board on our landing!!) From Kat and CE we got a wristband, which reads: Team Focker Fest 2008 and it was lime green. From V everyone got a badge, which read: I ate the wiener salad at Focker Fest 2008!!! And Mel had given out a badge the night before!

When it was our turn to go in and everyone was here. Our main waitress had to stand on the wall to get our attention!!




When I checked in it was a bit mad as there were so many people trying to get out of the rain. They also said we’ll try and sit you together!!!!! I’d booked this meal 6 months earlier and was now being told they might not sit us together Luckily they did though!

It was so funny as we entered as the CM stood on a wall to shout at us and tell us about the buffet etc, also seeing T’s expression and her covering her nose to block the smell was hilarious, sorry T



We all got in there to find the tables were in 10’s, we had sorted our tables out into 8’s oops!! After taking a long time to sort out the tables we sat down to order our drinks!!!


For dinner I had a Bread roll a bit of pork and butter and I tried their ceaser salad but I didn’t like it!! I didn’t like the meal but the men in lederhosen were funny!! All the oi oi oi oi’s and the birdie song and fun fun fun!!! It was hilarious but it was good as one of my languages at school is German!! Here is a picture of the entertainment.

The face that Leo is making is his pirate face as we are wearing our bandanas!! It was funny, as Ellie got tied up with rope, (it was imaginary) to a chair, by Leo!! He handcuffed me with glow sticks from Mel and Angela!! And sat me on a chair and Kat was like: ‘you are an evil pirate tying up Ellie and handcuffing Jessica.’

Flat Rosie was in a lot of places as well as all the rest!!!

It was so much fun meeting my old TFW friends from last year and lots of new ones too, everyone was so sweet and got along like old friends. It was so funny that at one point the waiters found out we’d met on the internet and this was our first time meeting IRL, I suppose from the noise we were making you’d never have known

Oh I must explain the Flat Friends we had with us. We had quite a few TFW members who were unable to make it to WDW in August so they took a photo of themselves and we all adopted one so they could come along with us

At one point CE was, I thought anyway, taking a photo of me, so I was silly and did the Birdie Song dance as it was playing, well it turns out she was videoing me, thanks CE LY

Once we had finished our meal all the kids got up and wanted to play a game. So we all got taken outside, that was a smart idea as our tables were right by the loos and everyone was trying to get passed but we were kind of blocking it.

After causing lots of havoc inside we decided it was best to leave. We spent ages chatting outside and then decided to take some photos, well being a big group we attracted some attention and people obviously wondered who we were and started taking photos of us too, it was hilarious



It started to get dark and was heading towards 8pm and we thought it was time to go and guess what we went to use our TT fast passes and we found out that Mo, Kelly, Janet, Andrew, CE, D, Buzz and Woody were going too.

As there were 12 of us Mo and Kelly came with us and Janet and Andrew went with CE’s family!!

We left T and her family as they were off to ride SSE and we all headed straight for the FP queue and we grabbed a few pictures. Of us through the queue by the broken car:

We went into screen 2 and we walked straight through and watched the video. It was Kelly’s first time on TT and she experienced it with us. Whilst we were watching the video I knew the words and I was miming them to Mo and she believed me, she didn’t realise the words were at the bottom of the middle screen

We were in the queue and we split up from Janet and CE’s families. We got in the car and us 3 girls sat in the front and the 3 adults sat in the back. We looked back and CE and Janet’s families were in the car behind us!! We were waiting for ages and we realised why Mo was hanging out the car waving to the car behind Janet and CE’s family and she got told off by the lady controlling the system!!

There are a few rules in our ride on Test Track when you go over the Belgium and German blocks you have to go errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Then we have to shout 10%, 20% and 30%. When we get to the picture part you will see our face. Kelly was doing the face and then she got scared and held onto the handles!! (But it was her first time it was expected!!)

Once we got off TT we went and got our pictures and then we said our goodbyes and headed for the exit though everyone else was going to watch Illuminations.



It was so hard saying goodbye to CE as we’re such great friends on the DIS and unlike the others I knew we wouldn’t see each other again this trip. We must have hugged at least a dozen times, it was so lovely to meet her and she's as lovely IRL as on here and we will meet again




When we got to the turnstiles Mum decided to go and get some PP pictures we got some as a family and some just Ellie and I!

We got on the bus and we saw another DISser her name was diamond in the ruff and Mum chatted with her.

When we got back to the Hotel we went straight to bed and went to sleep for an early start the next day!!

Congratulations on another excellent episode of your big WDW adventure. Jess, I'm so impressed with your well written report and also enjoying your additional comments, Jo--especially your family's versions of the How Do Ya Do song from Splash Mt. You certainly got some great shots with your Photo Pass--the ones with Captain Hook are fun but the family portrait with the EPCOT sphere in the background is just wonderful. Your TR collaboration is proving a great success.
