1. The food outside the park is a better quality in my opinion. We ate lunch everyday in DD or nearby.Tortilla Joes, Outback, Tony Romas all a deal. Please check their web sites I found two coupons and took photo of them and they honored them.

2. We stayed at Anaheim Suites, it isn't the GC but it is cheap no fills , lodging. The pool is outstanding, we only slept in room, did laundry one day for my son the CM.

2a.The DL park has never been in worse shape. The rides are all without much maintenance, frequent breakdowns, long slow lines, be prepared to have your heart broken more than once.( I got in free so I am note really complaining)
I have been so many times having to miss a ride not that big a deal.but if you save your $$$ all year I can see the pain and it is legitimate.

3.Side trip was to San Francisco the Golden gate was beautiful, we stayed at Embassy Suites--it is like 8 moles from the wharf but tradeoff was cocktails and breakfast and second room.It was totally worth it drive was not bad.We took the bay tour.Disney Museum was ok, little kids would not like it.It was about Mr .Disney and his life not alot about the parks, nothing about DW hardly at all.It was mostly his early life including his failings. This is in the old presidio military base , there is a glass view of the golden gate that is stunning. There was no CM discount here even though the hub said there was.I would not really go back one was ok.

4,Never underestimate sleeping late and a swim before the parks. The heat gets to me thats my age showing.I hope all of you get to go to the Company D store someday. It is so cheap and if you like Disney it totally rocks.

5.Used up several of my 9 lives.Left keys to car on airport shuttle, wife missed red life and a near death encounter, shuttle drive turned in keys, did not get hit, you get the drift. All and all the man watched over us , thanks you lord amen.

6.Vegas, vegas, vegas no trip to disney is complete.

7. Strangest sight seen--- the electric daisy folks and last night at home airport about 1:30 am there was a young lady with baby stroller, thought baby was asleep, see chiuaua, she was using to to haul the dog...

8.Overall want to go back.Son the CM may be going to Florida will miss you guys. Thanks for the memories.

I hope you come back to read this. I know you have posted several times about the Disney Executive Suite at the Tropicana. We are staying there in a few weeks and I am trying to figure out if the sofa bed will work for my 16 & 9 year old boys. The 16 year old is 6ft tall. Any help is this area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Glad you have gotten to go on so many trips to visit your son. Have fun visiting him in Florida, good luck with all your adventures.

I am guessing you mean Anaheim Plaza?
Enjoy Florida, Adios!

Yes the Anaheim Plaza sorry.

The Tropicana Executive Suite is an amazing room.S o many memories there with my family over the years.I love to sit on the balcony and watch the monorail and employees , etc coming and going. You will enjoy the room. The couch bed is a youth bed so I have slept on worse. The Trop has a great hot tub to soak your feet.It is so close you can come back and take nap and order Pizza Hut delivery here.

Shuddering at TJs. Hello, food poisoning! (or a coincidental stomach bug, doesn't matter, the two are forevermore linked...)

I grew up in the Bay Area and cannot even fathom SF being a side trip from Anaheim. Vegas, either, actually. Glad you got to do some big traveling, though!
