Cast: Me, Kelli, just turned 40, Disney nut and major planner.
DH, Stephen, also 40, puts up with my Disney obsession, loves it almost as much (just won’’t admit it.)

Sorry I didn't finish these. Things got crazy at the Kings. So I will now finish it. The only draw back I can see with a two week WDW vacation, is the very time consuming trip reports. I will post two days at a time. The last week is very fuzzy because I took horrible notes, but I hope you enjoy anyway.

September 18:

We ate in our room. We did this alot. Between egg bagels and soy slim fast, I had a gourmet breakfast everyday.

We went to Animal Kingdom today. We arrived at about 9:00. This was the first time we saw the CMs out with the spiders and stuff in plexiglass cages. DH spent a lot of time looking at them. We saw the same spider twice, and DH impressed the second CM with his knowledge of the spider. I finally told her we already saw that one, and she laughed. She thought he was some spider expert.

We headed straight to the safari, and walked right on. I have never been on this in the morning, and it was great. There were tons of animals. We got off, and got back on. Our second driver was incredible. Even with the stupid story (sorry, don't like it) she was fun. We saw even more.

After the safari we walked the trail (sorry, forgot what it's called.) I could spend all day looking at the gorillas. Here's a good pic of a mom (I think).

From there we wandered around the Tree of Life and then watched It's Tough to Be a Bug. DH says the best part of the Disney's 3-D things (after you've seen them once) is watching the reaction of others who haven't seen them before. He's right, they are a riot.

Then we wandered through Africa, saw some dancers and had the best cinnamon roll ever. They keep them hot in a large wok looking thing. When they put it on your plate, it's dripping frosting. I couldn't eat all of mine, but don't worry, it didn't go to waste, Dh ate the rest.

After a lot of people watching, we went to the Lion King. This was on my must do list because I had never watched it. I'm glad it was. We truly enjoyed it, even if we were just two adults. We sat in the warthog section, but I never could to the sound. Oh how I tried.

We headed to Dinoland after this. While in the bathroom, this is what DH did. It was a surprise when I got my film developed LOL!!

Then we rode Dinosaur a few times. We didn't even get off. I'm telling you, you've never seen it this empty here.

After Dinosaur we ate barbeque (I don't remember the name). It was good. DH has taken to eating kid's meal because he likes kid's food. He had corn dog nuggets (never heard of them), and I had chicken. DH helped me finish mine.

After lunch we went to Kali River Rapids, and didn't get too wet. We could have rode again, but I didn't want to press my luck. I hate walking around all day with wet shorts.

We walked the Jungle Trek, and then wandered around Asia. Here's a pic of DH being silly.

We looked for the "secret path", but couldn't find it anywhere. Oh well, it was fun looking.

From there we saw the bird show, another must see on my list. Again, I was glad. The seating area was only about 1/2 full, but that didn't take away from the show. It was awesome. When the bald eagle came out, I was awed. Here's a pic.

We left Animal Kingdom after the birdshow, and headed to Downtown Disney. We sat directly behind the driver. The bus was unusually loud, and every time the driver spoke, no one would listen. He had an amazing voice. We were headed to buy our tickets for the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues, so we stayed for the third stop. DH told the bus driver at the Marketplace stop that he had a great voice, and should audition for something. He said thanks. Then at the next stop, Pleasure Island, he asked if he could sign our autograph book. We said we didn't have one. Then on the last stop, he gave us a picture he drew on the back of a label (about 5x8). It was of Jasmine from Aladdin. It was so good, done in colored pencil, looked just like her. He wrote on it "Glad you're having a great time in WDW. Signed Freddie B." It was really nice. Well, we thanked him profusely, and told him we look forward to seeing his name in the credits as either animator or voice, and he laughed.

Anyway, we bought our HOB tickets and then wandered DTD. We had a snack at Ghirardelli. DH had a coffee drink and I had a pop. I know, not much for an icecream shop, but I can't have ice cream.

From there we headed to the TTC. We had etickets tonight. We got on the ferry with two other people, and were told that the MK closed in 15 minutes. We all informed the captain that we had etickets, and he understood.

Enight was awesome. It was so empty. We didn't know it at the time, but this was one of the last. We started with dinner at Casey's. I just love their dogs. We didn't take in our camera, because this night was about rides.

We hit Buzz first, DH's favorite, and rode twice. Then on to Space Mtn, and then over to Big Thunder Mountain. We were able to ride this 4 times in a row, without getting off!!! In quick succession we hit Haunted Mansion, Aladdin (not impressed), Buzz (again), the TTA and then enjoyed the people. We left at 10:20.

What a great night.

September 19:

We slept in today. Called to have IOA tickets delivered and then went to Cape May Cafe for breakfast. No PS, just walked in. It was very good. We took our camera, but forgot film. Goofy was very upset we didn't take pictures.

We entered Epcot via the World Showcase entrance at about 11:30. We watched the movie in France (first time, loved it), had Kaki Gori (DH's new favorite snack), and then finished the rest of World Showcase. We saw the Genie in Morocco, and ate in Mexico.

After that we went to Future World. Rode Test Track. To help you understand how empty it all was. We had no fastpass, it was about 2:00, and we walked on. Then we headed over to the Living Seas. We didn't see this the last time because our girls (18 and 20) didn't want to see it. I really enjoyed it. We got to see some dolphins training. It was fun.

We had missed the rides in Mexico and Norway, so we headed that way. I like them both, but DH said he could do without El Rio Del Tiempo.

We had dinner at the Electric Umbrella. We split something, can't quite remember what.

After dinner we found a place for Illuminations. We sat down be the lake between France and the UK. The view was great. There was a little boy behind us that was unsure about the noise. He laughed and cried (at the same time) through the whole presentation. It was fun listening to his reaction. He didn't want to leave, but was scared at the same time.

We walked back the the Boardwalk and got a slice of Peanutbutter cake from the baker. It was to die for.

Upon arrival in our room, we had a very angry message from the delivery person delivering the IOA tickets. I assumed he's leave them at the front desk. I was never told to stay in the room. I guess this way they get a tip. He left a note a the front desk, but no tickets. So, I had to call the next morning to get them. Very confusing.

Tomorrow, check out and IOA.

Really enjoying your reports, my DH and I had a great time without the kids, too...lots of fun remembering.

I would have never thought about waiting in the room either, hope that worked out alright...

Looking forward to more!!

Too bad the delivery person got so upset. I sure hope you get to enjoy IofA because it has the most awesome roller coasters.

I truly enjoyed reading about these days, thanks for sharing them with us. The photos were great.
