Ya know, I've never really thought about Vero Beach. Now seeing your/MEK's pictures I'm thinking twice. It looks beautiful and so relaxing. Now I'm going to have to research it!

I was just thinking the same thing as Christine. It looks like I have a little researching to do.

I never even knew that DVC had resorts other than the ones at WDW until I had read MEKs TR!! Being able to use a couple points and add on 2-3 days at the beach along with our WDW stay was a BIG selling point for my DH!! I think it would be even nicer to do at the end of a trip...to get caught up on your rest!!

Thanks Sophia!! I have been a bit lax on my updates... I'm trying to get a new job. If I get it, it'll wreck havoc on my vacation. We should still be able to go, but it will definately cause some major changes....cause I won't have 2 weeks for it

Well according to 'google maps' it's about 1/2 way between Vero and WDW. If I remember right Kennedy is about an hour from Vero and 50min from WDW. Thats why we thought it would be a good time to go as we traveled from Vero up to WDW. I hope that we enjoy it. If it's not, then we can keep going on to WDW, and we really haven't "lost/wasted" a day!

Thanks LL!! it's OK...I have a tendancy to read and not always comment! Tom likes the Beach. My only experience with the beach is Cancun, 5 years ago. I assumed I would be bored..so I never had a desire to go. But after visiting Cancun, I wished we hadn't planned so much sight-seeing and HAD spent a couple days just baking on the beach!

A quick update today.

I bought a little more real estate in Florida this morning!! A PURPLE OWNERS LOCKER!!

I've really debated back and forth on this... but decided that the 1/2 price registration thru DIS and the 2 free visits a year (I'll have to pay for gnomefest) makes it worth giving it a try. Since we will have the car in July.. it'll be easy to get the stuff to fill my locker to Florida

Here's some of what I'm planning to put into said locker:

• Shampoo
• body wash
• laundry detergent
• downy wrinkle releaser
• dryer sheets
• swim floaties for Allison
• ponchos
• drink lanyards
• extra small backpack
• extra pair of contacts...in the mfr package
• advil
• bandaids
• moleskin
• small pair of scissors
• a game or 2 for gnomefest 2010
• hair gummies for the girls
• extra combs/brush
• razor/cream
• cold medicine
• cough drops
• coffee packets
• personal products (like deodorant)
• long sleeved tee or 2 (for under t-shirts)
• hoodie

I'm sure there will be more items... but that's what I'm coming up with off the top of my head It will be nice to have this available, without having to worry about packing it every time!

I may add a couple goodies (like pins/lanyards etc) in it to suprise the kids in November too. It seems like there is tons of room in those things...I plan to find out just how much

OK that's it for now.... please give me other suggestions of things to put in it if you think of anything!!!

I thought about that... i'm not sure I don't swim, the little bitty ones are plenty big enough for the kids They would definately require laundering before packing in the box... I'm not sure I want to worry about that...

hmmm it's rechargable, but batteries is a good idea though... the kids always go thru a bunch with their miscellaneous electrical devices Maybe a charger for their DS thingys... since all 3 kids have them, we have several chargers

Well DVC means no free dining for me anyway.... but I'll dake the 'free' Dx room instead

I am going with friends in September... (jenjolt and 2xcited2sleep) but THEY are taking care of any and all PTRs... I think I'm jinxing my trips with them... So I'm waiting til i get HOME to write a TR instead
