We, too, love the Mexico Pavillion--- love the little ride with the Three Caballeros!

And this is going to sound strange... I love the way the Corrosion chamber smells on TT!

I associate lots of stuff with scents--- and that corrosion chamber is associated to me with a really good time.


Well, I hope the Post Disney Despair doesn't set in too bad now that the TR is almost done.


I know! We'll all start Pre-TR's and then be super excited for everyone's upcoming trips!!!!!!

PS--- Jane--- awwww- your Drew Boy sounds like MY Drew Boy! That's so sweet. Thanks for sharing that with me. It made me sad- and yet happy at the same time. I know he will always be a Momma's boy--- he's already told me I have to go to College with him- and that Daddy can visit every now and then. I'm telling you- there is something about the way a boy looks at his momma--- they can wring your heart clean out of your body.

I know, Disney has so many smells! Some good, some bad, some weird. One of the weird ones I like is the smell in the POTC ride!

That's a good idea, I'll be looking forward to your PTR! I think I might take a little break from writing for awhile though!

Tuesday January 27th . . . Departure Day


Our flight home was at 1:30pm, so our ME bus was scheduled to pick us up at 10:30am. We got up around 7:30 or so and got ready and finished packing up the last minute items. Around 9:00 we went over to the OPR food court for breakfast. We had 5 CS credits and still a few snack credits left. DH, DS9, and I each got some kind of breakfast platter. DS7 just had a bagel and some milk. So we ended up with 2 CS credits left and we couldn't eat anymore!! So I asked the CM at the Grab N Go Section of the food court what we could do with those CS credits. She said for each CS credit we could get 4 snacks. Plus we still had a few snack credits left. Good grief! Needless to say we came home with A LOT of snacks!

I took a few more pictures of the awesome gift shops at CBR.

DS7 fed the ducks one last time.

I took a few more pictures on the island as we walked back to our room.

And that's it for pictures. I usually take pictures of us going home on the ME bus and pictures at the airport. But not this time. It just seemed extra depressing leaving this time for some reason.

Our ME bus came right on time and we were to the airport with plenty of time to spare. The flight home was pretty uneventful and we came home to a cold and snowy PA. Talk about a shock to the system! We left an 80 degree day and came home to the 20's. I thought for sure we would all be sick in a few days, but we were just fine!

Final thoughts. . .

Overall we were very happy with our first January trip. For the most part (except for the first few days) the weather was perfect. Couldn't have asked for anything better. No rain. Warm, but not too warm. Therefore I didn't have to listen to the boys (all 3 of them ) whine all day at the parks because it was "too hot". We were very pleased with our resort and the kids are convinced that there will never be another pool as awesome as the one at CBR! We had some great dining experiences and only a few not so great ones. The crowds seemed to be hit or miss. We had one really great day with low crowds, we had one really terrible day with the highest crowds I've ever seen. The rest of the days were probably average. I will say that I did expect it to be less crowded in January. But I think our mistake was going MLK week. And another thing I'm sure added to the crowds was the buy 4 get 3 free deal.

We would definitely go again in January and are even considering it for next year! We would probably go a week or so later next time though.

We are already thinking about where we might stay next time. . . This is what we are all thinking ~
Me ~ Poly, BCV, Swan, CBR, POR, OKW
DH ~ CBR, Poly, BCV, Swan
DS9 ~ CBR, BCV (he's all about the pool!)
DS7 ~ CBR, ASMo

So as you can see we have a big decision to make!

Thanks so much for reading! I'm not sure what I am going to do now either. Hey maybe I can finally get working on my scrapbook! We've been back for nearly 2 months and I haven't even started it yet! I would normally have it done by now.

I know what you mean about the scrapbooks. I was cleaning out our front closet this weekend and found lots of the stickers and papers that I bought to do my scrapbooks from 2007 and 2008! I REALLY need to do them.

Lime Green Mickey Head - the paint chip sample cards from Home Depot. I'm sure you've seen them around... People put their DIS names on them and hand them on their park bags so other DISers can spot them.

I had no idea! I have a WHOLE STACK of those samples sitting right next to me because we're trying to figure out how to paint DD6mo room and I am insisting on Disney paint! I'll have to do that next time!

Hey I just realized that if we go with my latest plan (in my head ) we will be leaving in 10 months from today!! Wow that seems like a long time!

Not sure if we will be able to pull off another surprise or not. DS9 now says that he doesn't want to be surprised again because he likes to do all the planning with me. And DS7 says he wants to be surprised, but not until the day we are leaving! That might be kind of hard to pull off with school and everything. . .

Another great report Shelly!! I'm so needing another Disney fix! I can't believe it's only been (exactly) two months since we left for CBR...it seems like forever ago!! If hubby gets this new job that may materialize for him, we'd love to go around Christmas (like 2nd week of December-NOT Christmas week. I couldn't do the crowds or the price, but would LOVE To see Disney at Christmas time)! Otherwise, we'll be Snowbirds again! (Which is still great-I MISS YOU GUYS!!!)

I think the "surprise trip" should go down in history as a one-time-only performance! It's one of those once-in-a lifetime memories that can't be beat. So I'm with DS9 - let the whole family be in on the planning for the next trip. And it's never too early to start!
