the Jersey City Police officer that was killed

Marc DiNardo was killed in a gunbattle in jersey city last week. It was a huge mess. And so very sadly he passed away.
On the news just now they mentioned that his family have a trip to Disney planned for December. His wife is still going to go with the kids(or so she says now) and do all the things they loved to do.

such a brave and strong women to handle her loss in such a strong way that she has been these past 2 weeks. my love and thoughts go out to her, her family and his brother and sister officers.

ALL the police officers are in our thoughts and prayers. It's often a thankless job and this is just one example of the ultimate sacrifice that is sometimes made. Thank you for the job you do!

That is so sad.

I live in Jersey City and it's been a rough time for the city with the recent shootings and political scandals.

My co-worker is friends with the officer who was shot in the neck. I hope he is doing better.

I'm in Bayonne, so we've been following this sad story as well. Glad to hear his wife is going to go anyway. It will be good for her and the kids to get away and remember their husband/father. Lord knows it's going to be hard, especially around the holidays.

Had to drive through Jersey City yesterday because all the routes into Bayonne were flooded and let me tell you, it was downright scary in some places. There's such hopelessness and desperation in parts of that city and yet so much growth and rebuilding in others. Don't know how the police can go out there day in and day out and fight what seems to be a losing battle. God bless them and their families for putting their lives on the line on a daily basis.
