Eeeeek! I've become exactly what drives me nuts. The person who can't update their TR in a timely manner. Goodness gracious what happened to me?
Okay so I napped at my room and when I woke guess what? Three guesses? Actually I know you'll only need one. Yup. Rain. So I didn't rush to get over to Epcot early. I had no interest in walking around in the rain. Again. For another night.
So I took my time and got ready at a slower pace. I grabbed a poncho, good thing I had brought like 6 with me, and out the door I went. Mother Nature, you may dampen my spirit a bit (pun intended) but you will not break me, I yelled shaking my fist at the sky. Well not really but you know what I mean.
I was meeting a friend for dinner at Cape May. A little backstory, when I was pregnant with my Bashful I joined a Mom's Circle online group at iVillage. It was for women due in October 1999. Well 9 years later this group still exists. We've moved locations on the web and lost a few members over the years but there are about 20 of us I'd say who check in daily. Many of us have met different members over the years. We've celebrated births and even grieved the loss of one of our own to Breast Cancer last year (we miss you Kim!). It is an amazing group. So this was my chance to meet my friend, who I had never met in person, after all this time.
So I bussed it to Epcot and started the l-o-n-g walk to the exit towards the Beach Club. I had hoped that I would go in early and see Off Kilter but their stage was all closed up. The rain was cancelling things like that. Darn water. Darn Fay.
So I slugged and sloshed over. I had never been to the Beach Club before. What a lovely lobby! I used the very nice ladies room and walked around a bit. I would love to stay here sometime! I sat on the big round couch in the middle and waited. I hoped I would recognize her! I hadn't even seen a picture in a while!
And then, there she was!
We hugged and greeted and it is just surreal when you meet an online friend for the first time I think. We got checked in and seated pretty quickly. We each ordered a Blue Glowtini and hit the buffet. We ate, we talked, we ate some more, we had another drink. It was fun! Since she had driven out (45 minutes away or so) I had offered to pick up the tab. With drinks and tips it all came to $105.64. I would eat here again. I liked the variety and the food was good.
We took the picture in the lobby above and then she headed home and I was going to head into Epcot. The rain at this point if I recall had stopped. A nice change!
I went to Morocco, one of my favorite countries in the WS. Here is where I decided to play photog again since I had no little people dragging me around and I could take my time. Kids don't really get why you want to take a picture of a wall over and over.
I went over towards the water in front of I think Germany? I can't remember, maybe Italy? Anyway I found a spot to watch Illuminations. It is one of my favorite shows. And that is why I think I had pangs of missing my family during this. It was really probably the moment of the trip I missed them most. I sucked it up though and enjoyed the show. When it was done I slowly walked towards Mexico and the exit. I knew the lines would be long, no sense it walking fast to get to a big long line. I don't recall how long I waited but I don't think it was an insanely long time. I do know I stood. Those buses are just so packed at night!
And I got back to Pop and into bed with a little tv. Tomorrow I had to be up early! It was Keys to the Kingdom day!
